The playground of a field and stream beside this little quaint schoolhouse takes you back in time.

Love history and stopping here and touring the grounds. I sang in this church And it sounded amazing. Nicely maintained.

Love to go to Catalouchee State Park!

Beech Grove school is a restored school house located in Catalochee Valley in the GSMNP on the North Carolina side of the park. It is a great area of the park to visit for history, hiking, scenery and elk viewing. I do not recommend the drive in for the faint of heart or for those driving cars with low clearance; either from Maggie valley or from (my favorite) Cosby, Tennessee.
