I was in Dc for a mini vacation. I came here for the Litty In The City Event. We ate bottomless brunch, We Drank unlimited Mimosa than danced the Day away. It was amazing! . We dont have events like this in New Jersey. I stayed in Dc for 7 days and this place was definitely the highlight of my trip. Thanks for an amazing time. WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK SOON.

I went to the Lost Society for New Years Eve. Overall, my friend and I had good time, but there were a few things that really bothered me. 1) The bartender downstairs wouldnt give my friend and I tap water and made us pay for a bottle of water. On principle, a bar not giving out water for free is absurd. 2) They did not put the ball drop on any TV downstairs and instead the DJ did a 10 second countdown, which was about 30 seconds too early. 3) They had table servers with barely any clothing and full breasts showing. Theres a tasteful way to be sexy and that wasnt it.

Ive been here a few times In the past and had a good time but i never ate food here before. Recently, we came in on a Gilt City voucher and they treated us no different. Cocktails were great as well as the service. There was some confusion due to it being happy hour so our meals came out in happy hour portions because the register rang them up automatically. When we told the waitress she was quick to resolve everything. The food itself was good. I would come back and eat here again.

The hostess told us there was no space for us because we were a half hour late for our reservation. She went to check for us then came back. She sat us next to three empty and set tables... it was a Friday night but it was not busy. Server showed up once to take the order, and came back with the wrong bottle of wine. She didnt ask us if it was the right bottle and didnt even pour it for us. Took her so long to return that wed already drank some of it, because we wanted to drink wine... She said they couldnt comp the bottle, or even give us the one we asked for. She offered us free shots at the end, but we asked for dessert. We got the bread pudding and it was cold and hard as a brick. The steak chimichurri sauce had absolutely no flavor. The worst part was the service. The server was never there. We could have had a heart attack and died in her section and she wouldnt have noticed. We couldnt give a tip because nothing about the meal went well. The ambiance was tasteful and relaxing.

Crazily slow service and charged 20% on a table of 5.To the owner of Lost Society, I am glad to hear that somebody will be reviewing our case since the service that night was terrible and I am speaking for not only my table but the whole section that night. I guess that is why we got 20% charged to make sure they got the gratuity. Somebody surely gave none if they had the option.

Went there for the first time yesterday...Honestly it was not the best. I go out often to places to eat and drink. When I saw the reviews, I was excited to go check them out just to end up disappointed. First the drinks were not even strong. WHY would you say 3 for 20 and not be specific. I ordered the lost burger that clearly said served with fries so in my mind, that counts as one of the three and not two of the three. They should have clarified that it counts as 2/3. I asked for bacon to be added to my burger but guess what? Burger came to me with no bacon and they didnt even have the decency to let me know hey were out of bacon before bringing my order, so I am prepared. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!! Then what they called truffle fries certainly werent no truffle fries, they were regular fries. Ive had truffle fries at Ipic and whatever yall are serving arent it. Overall I wasnt impressed nor satisfied with the food and drinks

Their sangria, while elaborate, was somehow still bland and disappointing. The outside bar has white and rose wine but no red for some reason. I think I got there before the evening rush so it wasnt crowded, but it seemed like the staff were more concerned with preparing for bigger crowds later. But the staff were nice and friendly. Once it got packed it was much busier and noisy than I personally prefer. But it seemed like a good place to meet people.

I went to this restaurant during restaurant week and the special was $35, however, the steak was $10 which I noticed after I got the check. Seriously? I didnt even bother to ask about it because the waitress had made so many mistakes with my order and I was just fed up. She never brought my ice cream or second drink, but it was in the bill. I made sure I pointed that out. My chopped salad came without the avocado. It was so annoying. Its one thing to have poor service and poor presentation of food but it taste amazing. Yea, the food was just okay and thats probably because I was hungry. Smh I will not go back.

I spent my first New Year count down experience in DC at Lost Society. Huge mistake! I will never come back there and I will recommend everyone I know not to go there for any events. There was approximately 200 - 250 people in the bar for New Year countdown, but there was only 6 single toilets, and two out of the six had the Out of Service signs on. What made it interesting is that the bouncer let certain people use the Out of Service toilets. Two of the girls I were with went to that Out of Service toilet, and the bouncers opened the door and pulled the girls out. The bouncers were upset because one of the girls put her hands on him. Probably my friends were not in the important guest list to use the reserved Out of Service toilets, but if you PULL ANY GIRLS OUT OF THE RESTROOM, of course they will be mad and put their hands on you. My friends and I paid for the same event, and we paid for drinks so we expected to be treated the same as other guests, unless you stated on the ticket website that you will reserve toilets for certain guests. Im not sure how many people were in the special list for special toilets, but if you think four working toilets are enough to serve 200 - 250 people, you are ridiculous. Ive heard good things about Lost Society, but it has become a huge disappointment. And I will not recommend anyone I know to go there.

Lost Society bustles during the weekend with the club crowd and some groovy music on the topmost floor. It has two floors. The bottom floor has tables and is much more intimate. Ladies, stay away from this place unless you want to be harassed by sexist bouncers. Required attire for the ladies is to be covered from head to toe and don’t you dare take a sip of alcohol before you come in because this is a place for sober people ONLY. Tried to attend this establishment on a Friday night at the advice from a friend who said “they have great music but rude bouncers”. Not thinking much about it because we were both pretty sober and dressed well, we walk up to the line where 4 girls before us got banned from entering because one of them seemed “intoxicated”. I watched the girl, who probably had a couple of drinks that night but seemed totally fine, get told to turn back around with her friends. We were next and at this point I’m staring this bouncer dead in the face to see what he can possibly tell us. He grabs my friend’s ID, who is well over 21, and questions the validity of it because it’s from out of state. (I’m sorry but how many people in DC are actually from DC?) and then the second bouncer turns to my friend and says “you’re gonna need to cover yourself up if you plan on coming in”. Mind you, she is wearing jeans, a crop too with a long sleeve shirt over it but because the long sleeve shirt had a slit in the front and her skin was showing he found it to be too inappropriate. I’m sorry but if seeing a woman well dressed and not covered from head to toe makes you uncomfortable then you shouldn’t be working the door at a bar on U street. So if you’re reading this review, go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble of trying to get in a below average, top 40 playing, wanna be club.

Quaint DC Spot thats more of a Bar/Grill than Dedicated RestaurantWe went here for an early dinner in the middle of the week. We were able to get right in. This is one of those Bar/Grills that has good food but its more setup as a bar for night life in DC. It has a rooftop but I didnt get a chance to see it.I had the skirt stake & it was pretty good. Nothing that blows your taste buds away but still good. My wife had a fried chicken dinner & my kids had chicken tendors. The chicken was a fried a little too hard. Im from the south so they so this spot doesnt have the perfect formally for frying chicken n by a long shot. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was knowledgeable and of the menu & was able to suggest several items & explain food items & how they taste.Overall we had a good meal but wed try another restaurant before going back here since we were on vacation. If youre looking for that perfect spot for drinks and food, especially a bar/night life happy hour ambiance, then this is your place. If youre looking for a great family restaurant, with great food, then youre probably better off going elsewhere.

I was treated to dinner at the Lost Society for my birthday. It was a Friday night and the area was really lively. Lost Society wasnt our first choice (it was Marvins, around the corner, sorry...),when I told my sister (who lives in the area) where I planned to eat she told me to RUN! We decided to give it a shot anyway. We waited for about 20 minutes to be seated, I must admit, I didnt do my homework like i shouldve, I expected the atmosphere to be a little more laid back than it was. Our waitress was very approachable, and convinced me to make a change in my order. I ordered the grouper with mashed potatoes, the waitress suggested i order the potatoes au gratin w/ cheese (amazing choice). My only complaint was on the menu the description of the grouper doesnt say anything about bacon. When my order came back it had bacon on it (I dont eat pork). The waitress apologized and took it back no problem. My friend ordered the stuffed lobster w/ mac and cheese (also good). All in all good food (everything was very hot, even when my grouper was brought back out) good service from an excellent waitress. Id definitely go back.

I went to Lost Society last night for the very first time and had an awful experience, until the manager Greg rectified it. I was told that my bags were too large to bring in by one of the security people. As I was complying with his directions of where to leave my bag, he became aggressively rude and blatantly unprofessional. He first only mentioned that one of my bags was too large so I was trying to move things into a smaller bag. I went to go upstairs and he yelled at me that the other bag was too large. Now if you know anything about bags, you would know that the size of this bag was actually much smaller than say a large Kate Spade bag or something like that. I came back and had to shove everything back to where it was and at this point he was still rudely yelling at me to hurry up. Once I finished I went upstairs and saw TONS of other women whose bags were way larger than mine! Now Im confused as to why he made such a big stink about my bag, as there were men who brought in not only their motorcycle helmets, but large bulking jackets as well. I would hate to believe that this his lack of civility was due to my sex, age, or ethnicity, but in a misogynistic, patriarchal and often oppressed world one can never be too sure. Im sure it was just because he was just downright hateful.I took photos of several of these bags to show for proof. Its unfortunate that this one guard was so mean for no reason. I understand he was doing his job, but its not what we say its how we say it, and how the customer hears it.Furthermore, Im not convinced that I was the only person there whose bag didnt meet the requirements, yet at the end of the night lo and behold, mine were the only ones that had been put aside in the non secure area.I was so upset by this treatment that I sought out a manager, and was shown to Greg who was on duty that night. Greg attentively listened to my concerns and validated my feelings. He made me feel much better about what had happened and assured me he would look into the matter.I know that oftentimes customers can be rude and nasty, and I get that. At no point was I ever rude, nor anyone in my party. We were very perplexed by how he was treating me, and wanted to understand why. Will I come back? Yes, because at the end of the day, I cant let one bad person ruin what turned out to be a fun night.

Another DC Dump. Upon entry, I was behind two women that were turned away by security for having weed in their Micheal Kors handbag. Then, when confronted with a choice to use the restroom you are greeted by a hallway with gender neutral single serving bathrooms. They were all disgusting and I was appalled that even the bottom of my shoes had to be sullied by this filth. The table potatoes chips are doused with truffle oil which is overpowering and not a treat. This place is one of the worst in an area with plenty of competition to claim the bottom spot.
