Took the time on the DC Emancipation Day Holiday tho visit the Lincoln Memorial. I arrived in time to see a performance by the U.S. Marine Corps conducting a Silent Drill Ceremony in honor of what appeared to be disabled veterans. Amazing precision, thanks.

Walking the Mall at night is a must. It is actually a lot longer than one might expect, so wear very comfortable shoes. It is a total of 1.9miles from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. Dont forget the WW II memorial between Lincoln and Washington!

I liked to hang out at National Mall area. You can walk or run in the parks that located in National Mall. I see lots of people are enjoying their weekends here.
