My wife and I were looking for a place where we could find an area that had smooth paved roads where I could wheel her around in a wheel chair. We were pleasantly surprised to find Warwick City Park and Buttonwoods Beach. We brought a picnic lunch to Buttonwoods Beach and enjoyed looking out over the beach while boats sailed by in the distance. The park has plenty of smooth, well maintained paths which are perfect to push someone around. It is a hidden gem and well worth visiting. this would be a great place to bring kids and let them explore. Great views and wonderful fall foliage on Columbus Day weekend.

No place like this, great dog park,nice ball fields, and open fields, with a 3- mile paved walking/ bike path, and a very enjoyable beach!

Overall this is a great place.... Theres no waves so its the perfect place for kids.. Theres also tons of wildlife and its relatively clean.. You can also find clams and mussels there which is a plus. Also theres picnic areas and a playground. For being on the bay i was pleasantly surprised

Water was great and it was really nice there. Liked that there was a little play structure right there that wasnt sitting in the sun. Only downside is there is some trash around from people who just leave it around instead of using the trash bins. Other then that it was very nice and will be going again!!

Love this place to just chill out relax and take photography. The nature views are awesome. From deer,to beaver, and horseshoe crabs. You can take your dog here or the family to relax in some nature or beach area then this is the place.

One of the few parks in Rhode Island that is just as beautiful during winter as it is at any other point in the year. Very nice, clean beach with a great view of the bay. The surrounding area has a small playground for kids, and dogs are welcome. Good place to come read a book on a nice day.

The restrooms are locked due to virus. Beautiful walking trails. There are also sports fields and of course the bay.

Pretty cool park. Has a dog park and multiple paths to walk or ride. Soccer fields and softball fields are packed during the season. Nice views!

This is my favourite beach when it comes to little ones. The water isnt deep, there are no real waves or undertow. My kids always enjoy the periwinkle and hermit crabs. The is plenty of shade in the play ground area. Its the perfect mix of sun, salt water, shade and activities. There its usually a lemonade truck in the parking lot too.

Good place to take kids to small beach area and playground.. small unpaved parking lot under tress that fills up fast on weekends. No restrooms are open and no showers on the premises.

Quiet, about .2 miles of clean sand beach. I go here almost every morning from 6-8 and have never seen more than a couple people. The beach has a 2.5 mile paved bike loop tangent to it. The sea on this day, July 5, 2020 was crystal clear and 72 degrees

Its nice and quiet place to walk your dogs. It has a dog park, one for large dogs and one for small dogs.

Much cleaner, quieter and comfortable than nearby Oaklawn Beach. Its like a hidden little gem that locals and their family know about.

Very nice park. But what makes me really sad is there is trash spread all over the place. Especially on the beach. I dont understand the people. There are enough trash bins around. Plastic needs thousands of years to be rotten...

3 miles path, baseball field, soccer field, playground, dog park. All in one place. Plenty of parking and also a beach area overlooking the bay. Great place for everyone.

Great little hidden RI gem! This is a great spot for walks, biking, and it even has a dog park! awesome views and ample portable lavatories. Great fun for the family.

A very nice park. Awesome beach, fairly clean water, and a wonderful atmosphere. An added bonus is that people mind their own business and will move away from you rather than calling the authorities if you or your friends get a little loud or playing music.This is one of my favorite easy to get to spots in Warwick

Beautifully maintained and perfectly paved trail. The entire loop is approximately 3 miles, or just less than that. Everyone who visits this park seems to be very friendly. It is very enjoyable spot to go for a walk with the dogs, go jogging, or just sit at the beach and enjoy the water. It’s not too busy, and very tucked away. It offers great views of the water on several sides of the park. The trail is slightly hilly at times, but it is accessible to all levels of fitness..

The police should drive through a fue times a day to keep the hoodlums in check.

Calm bay with shallow water and a nice sandy beach, plus shade if you want it. Lots of beautiful walking trails.

Raised nearby, so this park has been part of my life forever. Nice, scenic walking paths (a paved trail and dirt paths through the woods. Great for dog walking. Also has ballfields a soccer field, a roller hockey rink, a small dog park and a small beach area. A couple of small swing sets for the kids. Decent outdoor, environmental port a Johns ( not sure their names as they are little buildings, so not portable.

Public park. Open sunrise to sunset. Features a bike path, beach on a cove, baseball fields, picnic areas, hiking paths and a dog park. The grounds are well kept. Lots of wooded areas to explore.

Best place to go cohaagen just sit in the water and pick them out of the water. Great beach nice and clean. You can also cook on the grill. Wonderful.

Took a walk, for the first time, all the way around. I think its 3 miles. It was very nice. We even found a spot to go down to water so our dog could cool off.

I love Warwick City Park you can bring your grill your kids can have fun nice and clean people get along with each other. And dont forget to bring your pets must be on chain and have a license and please pick up the poop after your pet is done it is a awesome area like I said very clean lets keep it like that for the Next Generation

The only reason I give it 2 stars is purely based on the fact that its free. Other than that the water isnt clean, the sand is rocky, the seaweed is everywhere, and it is very small. Rhode island has plenty of nice beaches, this is not one of them.

Great park. Beautiful walking / bike path. Beach area, lots of wooded areas. I go here for photography often it has a lot to offer. Grass areas ball fields, definate great park .

A nice place to bring the family for a swim or beach cookout. Theres also a dog park for the pups to get some exercise. And theres a bike/running/walking path for the people to get some exercise. Pets are not permitted on the beach.

Love coming here to go for a run / leisurely walk. There also a really nice beach area with a great view thats honestly better than Oakland Beach.

This is my park, I love this park, I walk the park as often as I can. It is forever interesting with the twist and turns, the water and the birds and the squirrels,all the wildlife,Amazing. I stop at the dog park to watch the dogs running free playing with each other and just enjoying life. Interesting to watch grown man playing soccer,baseball, girls teams, boys teams something for everyone. The beach is enjoyable with shading trees and a cool breeze always. Picnic benches, resting benches,swings, slides,what a fun place for kids.sometimes I will swing and smile to myself,look up at the great sky, Thank you city park and thank you to all the park staff for doing such a good job at my park!

Clean Beach with 2 lifeguards. Has covered eating area but limited picnic tables. Area before beach has shaded play ground.

I love this place the beach area is clean and the waves arent as crazy. Plus you can see hermit crabs, jellyfish, and little baby .
