This was a great hidden gem!!A small park display of local and American history.Well worth the drive
This place is great. The gentleman that was there is very knowledgeable, I could have talked to all day
This is located in a very random location (right next to McDonalds). We enjoyed the signs indicating the comparisons to the actual sizes of the replicas to the actual real ones.
Nice little park with nods to important historical events.
An awesome place to see.
Brought up in the space race era, this brought back fond memories.
It was cool to get out and walk around and see all the displays! I enjoyed the plaques. It doesnt take long and has interesting information! Plenty of parking.
Well Im a nerd
Stopped there on a #fridayridedayPretty cool
Easy access lots of parking cool an free
I was so Excited and found it so interesting I mean its been 50 yrs this month .I Loved it!
Really neat place with unique history.
Good tribute to the first Man on the Moon, but a little misleading as this is where he GOT his first ride on a airplane. All of that to say its worth the visit if in the area.
Probably best to stick to the drive thru. Its one of those gas stations if you get out of your car chances are 50/50 you will be hit up for money.
A neat little memorial to Neil Armstrong, who was from Warren Ohio. There is a model of the lunar module he flew in. There are a few little plaques providing additional information. Its nothing major. But if your in the area, its well worth a quick detour - especially if your into space and/or local history.
Not a destination place, but if your near its cool to stop and see
An interesting and unique roadside attraction dedicated to Neil Armstrongs first flight. This site was once the Warren Skeets Airport from which Armstrong took a flight on July 26, 1936, at age 6 in a Ford Tri-motor airplane. The memorials imagery is mainly related to space and features several lunar-type vessels and a collection of plaques. In several places, Armstrongs famous quote from his spacewalk on July 20, 1969 is engraved - Thats one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. This site is located directly next to a McDonalds which makes it easy to find and to park.
Atlas obscure a great site that’s how we found this place
Nothing special
Found it to be very interesting and educational
Amusing
Great to see
Just a little bit of history for everyone to see
