My daughter and I enjoyed going to this museum. While, there isnt a ton of things to look at, for only $2, you cant really beat that. Its worth a stop-off if youre in the Tuscaloosa area.

Surprisingly a lot of fun! Its not the biggest museum or anything, but there was a lot of Alabama history and interesting things in there. Even the history of the building itself.

A few people were stuck in the elevator !! Its a single unit and the controls were being used upstairs and downstairs, causing a malfunction. Otherwise the experience was great, my second time being here and this time was better than the first!

Nice little surprise on the UA campus. It does have some empty space that could hold extra exhibits but the admission is negligible so it is still worth a visit. Several good fossil exhibits.

I had passed it many times before actually going in to the museum, but once I had gone in I didnt want to leave. They have many cool exhibits and very detailed plaques so you know what youre looking at. My favorite things were the interactive topographic sand box and the Mastadon skull

This museum is fantastic. is is located on Alabamas campus, and is extremely cheap for the quality of exhibits they have. They have several fossils, as well as rocks and minerals on display and is an excellent place to visit if you have an interest in geology or paleontology. I would recommend going to this place if you have the opportunity as it is well worth the time spent to visit it.

The staff are great with kids! The Education Coordinator does a wonderful job with the programming for the museum. The University of Alabama is lucky to have such wonderful and dedicated employees.

They have great events for children. You can easily walk through the place a few times and miss something and be surprised by it later because of the open floor plans of the exhibition.

Full of fun exhibits and a large, open area for events. Exhibits include minerals, rocks, fossils, local wildlife, and some human history. An interactive virtual sandbox shows how topographic maps work and watershed processes. Entrance fees are low and parking is available immediately behind the building.

The Natural History Museum is one of my favorite spots to visit on campus, and I always bring out-of-town guests here. The main gallery is beautiful, and is a great space for special events. If youre a fossil enthusiast, the museum has several great specimens, and you can also see the only meteorite confirmed to have ever hit a human. The programs are very engaging and educational for people of all ages. My favorites are the Halloween event, Family Night, National Fossil Day, and Living History Day. I recommend making a day out of visiting all the university museums--you can start on campus with the Natural History Museum, Gorgas House, and art galleries on Woods Quad before heading to the Warner Transportation Museum and then Moundville Archaeological Park.If youre unfamiliar with campus, there are a few museum visitor parking spots in a small lot behind the museum, accessible from Hackberry Drive, and you can park at the Bus Hub on Smithwood Drive for a small fee. As far as physical access goes, there is a ramp at the right side of the building, and there is an elevator that travels to all floors.

Small, but interesting. unfortunately for me the day I visited, a private function being set up and many of the displays where concealed behind the function tables etc. I would have liked to see more local content. Nothing much about the Native Americans at all.
