Follow the small wash just before this sight up into the hills. About a half mile up you may find gold nuggets after a rain storm loosened them during the flowing wash. This area is well known to prospectors as a gold bearing lode with tracers nuggets abounding. You are not allowed to dig or mine here. No panning, however if you find a nugget on the surface it is yours to take.

Trail was easy to get to from Camino Loma Alta trailhead 2.3 miles. 5 Mile Trail to the Manning Camp Trail some very nice created Rock seats in shaded tree areas by someone very thoughtful.

Beautiful trail. Quite the workout.
