Fun unique trails, the one way only was always great even better in 2020.
I love these trails. Nothing too difficult and never crowded on week days. Youll see a number of cars at the trail-heads but on the trails everyone seems to get spread out. Weekends are busier. The trails are easy to follow and well worn. Bunny trail is perfect for beginners and a good cruise through the desert to just enjoy being on a bike in a beautiful desert setting.
This place is very easy. It is a great place to start for people new to mountain biking. It has a lot of decorations that are very interesting. If you ride later you will hear coyotes. Also, you may run into cows. The chute is a lot of fun. I recommend the Lone Cactus Loop.
Awesome Mountain Bike Trail, easy to get to, enjoyable ride and can be a bit challenging depending on the trail and path you pick! Been here several times and love it.
Always live my trips here, wish they werent downsizing more and more for housing developments. Sad times
Great trail. Got a little bit lost (bunny trail) because of construction going on. I was very happy that I wore gloves. Had a close encounter with cactus. Some of the slopes are exiting and thinking of that, it is probably smart to wear a helmet. Great fun
I remember when the ORIGINAL Fantasy Island was just down the road from Sahuaro National Monument East. Shout out to Craig Randall one of the OG’s from back in the day who helped build Fantasy Island.
Great ride with lots of animals and wildlife. I have only ridden the street bike path but the dirt path looks super fun as well!
Great park! Awesome trails and loops. Big shout out to the community volunteers for building the trails loops and jumps! Definitely wear a helmet and if you are not experienced, try the bunny slope
Great trails although a bit cramped. Chutes and twisties. Go and ride fast
Always a fun place to ride a mountain bike. the bunny trail for beginners is on the Valencia side the more advanced trails on the Irvington side only four stars because there still construction going on in the center.
Ride singletrack to stay sane? This place is cheaper than therapy.
Best mountain biking in Tucson and one of the best series of locally maintained trails in Arizona. Well marked with a trail map at the starting point. Routes for any skill level available.
Love this place! Got some hard trails for the more experienced biker and a paved section for the easy going biker. I really do like that The Loop goes through it. I bike Eastern side on the loop a lot and its always refreshing to go through Fantasy Island. The wilderness right there and youre still right next to Tucson is definitely one huge pro. The only con for me is the parking on Harrison. Since some people waste a lot of space parking. Wish it was a little more organized.
Love it cuz helped build it back in the day however now the city has let us down and houses are being built right on that TRUST land that was meant for nature NOT FOR MORE BUILDINGS!! nice job Tucson! We should name our once MUCH cooler city Phoenix JR CEMENT JUNGLE.. JUST KEEP POURING CEMENT AND WELL GET RID OF THOSE PESKY MONSOONS!
Great mountain bike trails. Theres an easier end and a harder one, North Side is more technical and South Side is less technical, more of a begunners trail. Its always clean and the trails all have their own character, my family and I always love riding here.
The connection between Rita Ranch and Metropolitan Tucson a wonderful Scenic bike path.
Great stretch of the Loop to get a quick bike ride in, paved and smooth in the Fantasy Island area. The views are scenic with the mountains to the North and the East. There is a unpaved parking lot at the South entrance on Valencia. The ride is harder traveling back South so keep that in mind.
North is more challenging than south side. Too bad development is taking it away
Clean and fun trail.
Clean Trails, friendly environment, and plenty of nature to be seen.
A quick fun ride. Some trails are not rideable anymore due to home construction and overgrowth
Its fun and can accommodate different type of riders
Kids love it! Great place for BMX
Great path, fun
Great diversity and clearly marked trails, I ride there 4 times a week.
Great place for beginner--intermediate mountain biking
Stop take a breath.
Construction in the area is dampening the experience.
Good fun for all skill levels. Southside is bunny trail (beginner) North side is lone cactus!
The trails are well maintained and labeled well. When I get down here again Ill try to hit all the loops.
Great cross country riding the Northside can be a little chunky
Tons of fun 4 intermediate riders. Lots of short sandy and rocky ups and downs through a beautiful piece of the Sonoran Desert.
Ran into a cactus on the trail on my first run, never again will i subject myself
I had no idea there are that many trails in such a small area . Quick up hills a fun down hills . Dont forget you do need a Arizona State land department recreational permit parking pass.
A desert oasis. I waited way too long to finally ride here and cant wait to come here again. Fingers crossed this place stands the test of time and doesnt become another unneeded strip mall.
The bike ride is always fun. You may even see some local wildlife while there.
Its a blast. Trails go on for a long time. Very fast fun place to ride
I was there to walk the 3 mile section of the loop that runs straight from Irvington to Valencia. Its a paved two lane path for bicycles and walkers. It runs parallel to the chain link fence that borders the Davis Monthan Air Force base gun range. I didnt like the constant sound of machine gun fire but due to location its to be expected. Also there were multiple piles of cow poop on the path and at one point multiple cows with calves and one steer who didnt seem to happy to see me but I passed them without incident.
Building of trails started in late 1990s. This place is about leaning into many banked curves, right from the start. Little elevation change but whats there is used in chutes and canyon descents and climbs. A few saguaros, Yucca elata, wolfberries and creosote. Native Rock Hibiscus on the trail bloom into lavender cups. Fun features.
Fast, fun but not too difficult
This is definitely a good beginners trail or if youre looking to do just a quick sesh after work. Ive been here like 6 times so far and have only gotten lost once -- its a huge chunk of land
Fantastic trail work has been done...thanks to you all!
Fun local trails that are good for beginner to intermediate Riders. Offers a good variety of trails or you can take a road ride on the paved path that runs along the fence down to Valencia.
Trail markers would help. Im a novice and ended up in a pretty scary (for me) spot.
Best family mountain biking Park in Arizona hands down until the Hundred Acre bike park opens
Great for being in your back yard
Directional trail system is a blast! One way traffic ensures minimal chance for bad deal crashes. Bring a map or app if its youre first time.
Such a fine ride
Dawn is good. Hour or 2 before dusk is good. Noon is good if it is cloudy .
Great place to just get out n ride. Pretty easy but fun lots of fun.
Great place to work out
Great in town trails....too bad the State is selling a lot of it off.
Its a beginner/intermediate trail system with various loops that you can combine to have hours of riding single track. If youre a beginner, stick to the bunny loop, entering from the Valencia side. Bring along a pair of pliers in case you bump into cactus and need to pull out needles!
Nobody has had their car broken into in a very long time. Almost 2 years.
Shhhh...dont tell any one. Great off trail and paved trail rides. Watch out for the occasional cow Patty.
What a fun ride.
Trails are well maintained and a lot of fun. A great resource that is located nearby for in town riding.
Didnt even know this place EXISTED til I was driving past it one day. Its so amazing I really dont wanna tell anyone about it so I could have it myself
Great place! Check it out!
There are a lot of twill options. I am looking forward to exploring more of the trail options.
Local Mountain Bike Park, beginners to advanced skill level riders will find something to enjoy.
Mainly flat but nice n curvy.
Love this place. A shame parts of it are being developed
Go before it gets shut down folks!
The best trail system within 3 miles of my house!
Nice paved road for bike riding. It ends though.
Easy flow, nothing that a beginner or intermediate rider can get hurt on.
Best in East side
Erosion seems to be an issue on some of the trails and the Cholla grenades were everywhere... No trail map, sign, or porta Johns anymore.
Dirt-track biking at its finest!
Great trail for all ages and skill levels.
Fun trails amidst cacti, bunnies and the occasional rattlesnake. What could possibly go wrong?
Loved the combination of beginner and the more advanced trails.
Awesome, fun, convenient, trails good for all skill levels.
Lots of trails Great ride,
Best place in Tucson to bikr
Love this trail
Always a fun quick ride
