My girls and I love this park. Has a paved trail that nearly circles this 14 acre pond. Fish stocked for licensed anglers every two weeks. Trout in the colder months, catfish during the summer. And occasionally stock carp and bluegill. My cousin caught an eastern alligator snapping turtle with his bare hands on one night stroll. I couldnt believe my eyes. North shore has shady mesquite trees. And a damn thats a popular platform to cast from.

Decent park to come pokemon go at gets a lil suspect at night but im happy my apt has a gate to get to it...

Not a ton of play equipment for the kids. But large grassy areas, basketball court, baseball field,, water to skip rocks or collect shells.Everyone that was there was super friendly, kids and parents both.

Cute park, loved the game park for the kids, daughter was stumped at one point. The waters kinda gross but Im not really sure where it came from, its been a week since we went and my dogs still alive so I assume its okay LMAO he cant resist the water. Big dogs gotta swim.

Nice, clean, & beautiful scenery. People are here fishing just about everyday of the week. Its a nice little place.

Nice little desert oasis. Its fairly well maintained, but every eleven feet or so, theres a rotting fish carcass. I only deducted one star, though, because it may just be theyve cut back park maintenence during the pandemic.Otherwise, lovely views and a nice place to escape the city for a time.

I wouldnt eat the fish ive heard some storys that are quite disturbing...

I have been a resident of Tucson for the last 46 years . Ive been fishing at Lakeside for the past 25 years and I still dont understand why people cant find a trash receptacle. Especially those people who fish and just leave their trash at the waters edge. My guess is theyre just lazy...Please pick up your trash and dispose of it in a proper manner.

Nice people with a laid back small town feeling. Always a great place to walk, take the kids or just burn off some steam with a fishing pole in your hand.

Has settings for everything Tucson. Places for children to play. Photo opportunities of the the lake mountains, baseball games, ducks turtles and other wild life birds. And it is right in the middle of the East side a very short drive. A little Oasis in town as a lot of Tucsons gems are fairly remote. Very easy place to setup a camera and get creative. And just as easy to setback and relax

Sadly it could be cleaner. Mostly semi hostile fishing areas (loose gravel and debris). But the overall area and experience is definitely what you make it.

Decent lake to catch bluegil or catfish pretty easily winter time trout are stocked and you can find 1lb. Bass pretty regularly.

Clean park, with a small lake, those with urban license can fish. Pleasant and quiet walkways are maintained. Beware of Critters in the BATHROOMS!!! Or there will be Hitchhikers!!!

Good park, but they play ground it ok and the swings are all the day across the lake which is sure poor design.

Nice ramadas, clean, plenty of space for fishing during the week.

Nice place to hang out or fish

For a city park with an urban lake this is an beautiful spot with great fishing. I have pulled many bass and catfish out of here over the years including a nice 9lb catfish. There are picnic tables and shade and barbecues. Plus some jungle gyms for the kids. Id highly recommend this place for an afternoon of fun if you dont have time to get to a big Lake somewhere.

This is a great free place to bring your family, or you and your 4 legged friend, fishing, boating, soccer, basketball, restrooms, shade, BBQs.

This park has many amenities. Play areas for kids, a baseball field, fishing and a boat launch for small craft. A soccer field for multiple uses and restrooms that are of park standard quality for here in Tucson.

Its a nice sized park not to far away from a fire station. The biggest feature this park has that really gets it recognized across town is the lake there. You can fish there with a license. Ive caught some pretty random stuff there Im pretty sure that people have dumped a lot of pets and random aquatic pets in the lake there. Ive caught catfish, goldfish, bluegill, crawfish, and even believe it or not a freaking turtle more than once.

It seem like you was really hard to catch a fish out there but no excuseIm probably not that good anyways thats not the reason why Im writing this 2 Stars. Im waiting at 2 stores for a man-made lake it was pretty plain its not a bad lake it just not my cup of tea. Ideally this lake is for beginners

I love the park/lake..its nice to have a lake in town you can go to fish and let the kids play..I personally come here to do fishing. And the fishing is very good I catch a lot...its just all around a nice place to go to... We have had birthday partys here....it just nice... They just added a wheelchair access to the lake and wheelchair parking so thats a benefit

Took the 6 year old on a 4 man raft ride and she loved it. Fisherman were reeling them in the whole time also. It was the best of both sides of laking it for her. Come prepared for next to no shade if you want to enjoy yourselfs.

The lake is so relaxing to watch, great views and lots of outdoor activities. You can see teams playing baseball or soccer, people fishing, kids at the playground. Overall a very nice place to walk, relax or workout.

Great place for a walk/run with or to clear your head

Got up early, nice and cool for fishing, green lawns, ramadas, restrooms, easy to fish from the perimeter of the lake, saw blue gill, sunfish, and catfish, heard there were bass... saw a variety of waterfowl, ducks, cranes, grackles maybe... and more. There were a few people walking, a few riding bikes, a few fishing and a few barbecuing, plenty of room for everybody!

It is very joyful, and you can go fishing or you can just feed ducks.

Nice park, ramadas are outdated and picnic tables are also outdated. Nice views.

Nice lake. Hard to fish from as the banks are concrete and very steep in places. Again the usual problem of trash all over the place

4 stars because its been a bit crowded every time we have gone. There is some shade, which is really nice. We caught lots of small fish which made for a fun time with the kids. Clean park, lots of trash cans available. We always catch and release, so the ones we caught are still there!

Beautiful little lake, the reason I 3 starred this is because the people who like to fish also smoke a lot. So its hard to have a nice walk with your little one.

Nice park with a lake to go fishing. It quiet and not too many people, at least after 5pm or 6pm when I went. It you want yo have a picnic or just relax Uber the trees by the lake it is a cool spot to come to. There are many ducks and birds around so thats refreshing as well.

Is a great place to take the kids when its cool. Have them clean up the litter while you are there. Keep the park clean!

I love Lakeside its the only water we have out here since we are use to going to the beach. Very peaceful and clean.

When I go I bring a trash bag an try to clean up the trash in the water an thef fishing line thats been left, fishing hooks etc.

Surprised to find this gem in a suburban setting. Enjoyed picnic lunch with lakeside views of Mt Lemmon

Wonderful place!

My grandson was able to feed the ducks even though we didnt take any bread with us, there was a very nice lady there with her daughter and she invited my grandson to feed the ducks with them .

We love going to this park but it sucks that theres no pet area for the dogs to run around and play. Great fishing spot though!
