The park it self is set back and relaxing. but, if your not from around the area, have a bike, or carrying a backpack, the locals will make you feel unwelcome untill you get tired of it and just leave

This is a beautiful park for kids to run around or just to enjoy in general. The play areas need attention though. They are antiques, all metal with metal slides which of course once it hits a certain temperature are unusable and can cause burns on kids. I have a young son and some of the areas I need to go on with him and when I did the floor of the play area felt like it was going to give. I know Im not the only parent who does this. Otherwise it is a beautiful park and they have a little book nook as well. If the playground were updated Id give 5 starts for sure.

Visiting Tucson. I find the people in the area to be friendly and down to earth, a nice break from typical jerks in Seattle.

Use to come to this park a lot when i lived in the neighborhood. This park is were i reunited with my daughter after 4 years of being out of her life. Also me and my old roommate would come swing on the swings late at night. It is a great park play areas for the kids there is a backstop to play baseball or kickball and there is one of those old fashioned metal slides boy is it fast the only problem it really heats up in the afternoon sun. I would recommand this park espeically since they added ramadas and they have a small reading area stocked with books. Best of all lots of open grass and so many palm trees a absolute oasis..Oh there is a dog water fountain as well.

A good park for a gathering/picnic but be aware that if you are melanated that the residents will come over just for a stare. Folks like you need to remember that you are not in this world alone. There are also no bathrooms.

Nice small mid-city neighborhood park. The grounds were clean and maintained. There are some shade trees for picnicking but you might want a blanket to sit on. None of the park tables are under awnings, so if you want a shaded table you should bring an awning.

A quiet little park behind where Bookmans used to be, theres some nice shade trees for picnics, plenty of palm trees perfectly spaced for slacklining, and a nice playset for kids.
