Wonderful art-deco style theater with great acoustics- perfect for a concert! The staff of the theater are considerate, patient, and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Seating is comfortable. The venue is intimate and pleasant. I saw Alan Parsons Live Project and the sound was perfect- very reminescent of his studio recordings. Better sound than any other venue I have been to in Tucson.

Fox Theatre is a must if you live in Tucson or are visiting. Everything great you have heard about is true. The restoration is so beautiful, be sure to take your camera to take pictures of the inside.Was their again just yesterday, March 24, 2019, for The Greatest Showman movie sing-a-long! It was AMAZING! They had so many things for children & children at heart to do then the movie with the whole audience singing gave me goosebumps, best choir Ive ever heard.When the movie was over you heard a thunderous applause from the audience! NOW THATS A GOOD MOVIE WHEN IT GETS APPLAUSE!

Went to watch Asere (Cuban music) on Sunday night. Had the best seat in the house. Love those love seats. First row in the balcony. View and sound was great. People working the snack bar were very nice, courteous and knowledgeable.

Not only is it a great venue to see a concert or a play, it is easy to get to. With plenty of parking within a couple of blocks. If like nostalgia and old buildings, you need to visit...the craftsmanship put forth in the original building and the renovation is outstanding. If you can catch a performance here, I highly recommend doing so.

Small but cool, went to screening for Pride showing of Stonewall Lounge protest which was enlightening. This place off Congress across from Old Chicago store(now closed). They have many filmings and venues in this screening room which holds about 100 people.When you enter there is a small lobby and a bar to get alcohol, soda, water and fresh popcorn . Show start at 6 PM. Our screening was free with donations taken.Not sure what prices are otherwise.

Gorgeous historic theater. Went to finally see/hear Mavis Staples. Oh my. Perfect seat. Absolutely awesome sound. Customer service perfect. Everyone very friendly. Wonderful experience.

Pavlov show at the Fox was just what the dr. should have ordered! The show was fantastic. Having it at the Fox Theater add the final touch to an excellent evening. The FOX in Tucson is on par with the Fox Theatre in Atlanta,Ga and Detroit,Mi. The elegance of days when women were Ladies dressed for the opera, concerts or plays, that elegance is still in the venue of Tucson Fox. The theatre have 2 refreshment stands where fine wines, beer, sodas, popcorn, candy and at the one near the restrooms, even coffee. Ample paid Parking was only a block away.

Fox Theatre goes above and beyond! Its a beautiful historic theater, and the perfect venue to see a show of any sort. I love this Tucson gem.

Fox Tucson Theater is a great performance venue located in downtown Tucson. It hosts a good mix of better and lesser-known acts, and despite its relative age feels clean and modern in the ways that are important. Seats are fairly small, so if you are a taller or bigger person, look for seating at the ends or fronts of rows (or away from others). Most shows Ive attended have been sold out. Parking can be a little difficult, so prepare to walk or grab a rideshare. Tickets are easy to buy online, although will call delivery usually means standing in line for a few minutes on the day of the show.

The venue is fine and the variety of shows is great. Customer service is non-existent. I accidently bought an extra pair of tickets to a show in August and was told that I would get a one-time courtesy refund by check. I was only given one pair of tickets or I would have given the extras away on the street. This began a series of emails to Emily Pratt, the box office manager. After 6 emails and two phone calls with no response over 4 months, I wrote to the executive director. He said she would take care of it tomorrow. My last email said that she did not respond and he included her in my reply, saying Emily, can you please help.. Guess what, she did not reply. Not one word in 6 months. It would have been much more cost effective to issue a refund because I will not be spending any more money there in the future.

Awesome place to see a show. Obviously the best seats are up front but there really isnt a bad seat in the house.

I attended a concert there recently and I was amazed by how beautiful the theater is. It looks like it stepped out of the 1940s into the present day because of how classy the interior auditorium is decorated and painted.

The childrens literacy event was wonderful. There was a variety of vendors demonstrating educational products. The children films were wonderful and award winning shorts. The kids seem to love dancing with Fox Theatres Kit Fox. At the end children received a gift bag, chances to take photos with mascots, and a free quality childrens book. A wonderful event. I hope they will have another event next year.

TRULY an amazing place for your entertainment. I attended an event to a FULL HOUSE and felt comfortable. Congratulations for being such a POWERFUL venue for entertainment.

What a great place! Friendly folks and an historic location. The architecture us divine. We went and saw a great show. Had first row balcony seats. I do not suggest first row center of the balcony. There are stage lights there that interfere with the view. Luckily we were able to move to see one row which was awesome. If you live in Tucson and you havent gone, you must.

First class performance. Reasonable prices. Super clean venue and at the perfect temperature. Very convenient and ample indoor and outdoor parking lots. The popcorn however was pretty poor quality.

Great venue for shows and concerts. There is a bar available and you can bring drinks into the theater, if you use their adult #sippie# cup, but you get a discount if you reuse it.

The popcorn was exceptionally expensive and exceptionally stale. There were no cupholders and the seats are extremely close together. The screen was small for a theatre of that size. The decor was nice though.

What a great historic theatre! The artwork on the ceilings and walls is a marvel. The setting is perfect for intimate and close up performances. Easy to locate downtown. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but when we visit Tucson and attend anything downtown, we just Uber down. Close by are eateries and bars for any pre show eats and drinks.

Attended a concert there, acoustics were good.nice being in a historic place. The lobby was kind of small for a 1,000 person audience. They dont make theaters like that anymore..

We had the opportunity to go see Napoleon dynamite, with a question and answer after the show with three of the cast members. Napoleon dynamite if you havent seen it already is a great movie, but to be able to see it in a historic theater made it an even better experience. The seats were comfortable the ushers were very nice, and they help you get to your seat and find it. They have a couple a nice bars inside the offer theater type food and also sell alcohol. The The prices are comparable to most theaters, including the alcohol. But the ambience and having an opportunity to be in such a historic theater makes up for it. If you do happen to buy drinks at the Fox theater, you receive a souvenir cup that you can take back and get a dollar off of your drinks next time you refill them. We have seen a couple of other shows at this location and we are always happy and satisfied when we leave. Great location right now in town parking is a little bit of an issue but it is downtown Tucson so that is something that you should be ready for.

This is a lovely, quaint old vintage theater, but it looks like it might have been updated inside. There is a perfect combination of old and new. Clearly, it is a landmark in the downtown area of Tucson, and Im really glad I got a chance to go there and see a student film showing of University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film, and Television short films, most of which were excellent and many of which were thought-provoking as well as entertaining. They were all by senior students who would be graduating in May. Several of them were very humorous, and I was laughing throughout. But mainly, the theater is lovely inside and out, and I would recommend at least passing by and getting a photograph outside the theater, even if you dont go to an event there. It is a must-see in downtown Tucson!

An engaging theatre offering wonderful performances to the Tucson community. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the seats comfortable and the interior clean. The biggest pro to me is the local feel, this place is a Tucson icon and should be cherished.

Being in Fox Theatre is what I imagine Tucson used to be! Its beautiful and the employees are very friendly. This is a great place to see films and the arts in general. Its worth the money I promise you.

I love the beauty and history of this theater. Only complaint? The chairs were made for a much smaller time- anyone over 150lbs squeezes into the seats. That wont stop us from coming back though! We love this venue and the acts it brings in!

Fantastic place. I highly suggest going to shows here! They have a great concession stand and full bar. Easy to go to dinner downtown then head to a show.

This theater is amazing. The cocktails are a bit high priced but the popcorn is really good. I wish they had bigger popcorn bags.The Will call feature is very nice.The loveseat option is a bit pricey but incredibly comfortable and fits two people well.Honestly a great experience that everyone should try to do in down town Tucson.

I have been going to the Fox Theater as long as I can remember!!! Their staff is always very friendly and the theater is always spotless! I LOVE going to concerts and shows here because there is not a bad seat in the house!!! It is a great way to have up close experiences with the artists you love! Fox Theater has recently exceeded my wildest dreams by making a childhood dream of mine come true! I have dreamed of meeting WYNONNA Judd since I was 13 years old (so more than 30 years). With their Fox Theater Membership they made that happen. I was able to speak to someone I truly admire. Her music has been a huge influence and inspiration in my life. I was able to have a conversation with Wynonna. She signed a few items for myself and my girlfriend. She was very generous with her time and took tons of photos with us! The Fox made this happen and they had a photographer there and sent me those photos as well!!! Thank you for a magical experience I will treasure for a lifetime! I will continue to support The Fox Theater and hope others will do so as well! Take my word for it YOU WON’T REGRET IT!!!!

This is a great old theater that had been fully restored. Its fairly small and had old fashion theater seats but theres not a bad seat in the house. They dont have an elevator, so be prepared to climb stair if your in the baocany pr if you need the rest rooms. Take some extra time just to enjoy the theater. Its beautiful! Thay do make them like this anymore.

Beautifully restored theater with a variety of acts that would appeal to many tastes and ages. Volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable and eager to help. Easy to see from almost almost any seat and the sound was fantastic. Cocktails, soft drinks and water as well as popcorn and other snacks are available for purchase.

Gorgeous theater! I love this venue for everything, and often graduation ceremonies are held here during that time of year. Parking can be difficult but if you plan ahead it should all work out for the better. If anything, take the streetcar for a smaller fee than parking for hours and hours on the street.

I visited here for a graduation ceremony. The house was packed and lobby was really crowded after the event. It would have been hard to maneuver a wheelchair in the lobby at the time. The catering was great (cookie/cracker type) and parking around the corner was $6. Not bad.The architecture is phenomenal and beautifully designed. Art deco.

Tonight is my only experience with Fox Theatre, and Im sure my experience is not indicative of the theatre as a whole, but Im not positive about that either. I have 3 play reviews to do and Im on my last one, so not knowing Fox Theatres main product, I stopped by, and asked Doug, the man operating the box office, the name of the show and if it was okay to enter since the show had started 20 minutes prior. He replied yes and I asked him the name of the show. I had never heard of the play but thought I should give it a shot. I pay the $32.00 and go through security and I hear music.A TV screen above my head reveals a woman singing beautifully on stage while the lighting makes you feel like youre under a full moon . As beautiful as the setting was, I realized I was in a music theatre that markets singing rather then acting. . No big deal I thought,after all, it has only been 45 seconds since my purchase so laughing I told Doug the error I made.He looked at me and said No refunds. Keep in mind I paid cash so this can be fixed very easy. I could not believe what I thought I heard so I clarified. Its right there on your ticket Doug continued, What?was all I could reply and he finished No refunds I then said, it was 45 seconds ago and as you may realize Im not familiar with this area Doug didnt care.He kept my $32.00. This was an extremely ugly event, but I cant help but I feel a deep sense of sadness for Doug. To be simple minded and not understand basic courtesy is a tough obstacle to overcome. I do wish Doug my best. I will contact the manager soon and fill she/he in because I need to know if this kind of thinking is being pushed at the management level.

First time here. Seeing Ani di Franco, great experience overall. Hassle free entrance, convenient vending stands right by the doors and the teather itselfnis a nice clean place. Sound quality was great and very relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed this show very much and would definitely come back.

Getting tickets in the front row of the balcony was great, but the lights are set up so high that a 5-4 person cant see the stage. So try getting the seats to the side more. Great show, Jeannie Robertson was hilarious? Bathrooms were very nice and clean, but small.

Show was canceled. I was told 5-7 weeks to refund my money, expect a check as their system changed. Called 7 weeks and 2 days later, still no refund, took my credit card number. SURPRISE, now they can refund back to card!! SURPRISE again, only the manager can refund and is out until next week. I will NEVER do business with this venue again. Worst experience ever.

I love coming here every Christmas season to watch classic movies in such a nice atmosphere.

Went to see Tom Segura. The theatre itself has been magnificently restored. An old school vibe that surely impressed me. Always cool stuff happening here.

I just attended a kids show with my daughter. It was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Fox Theater is awesome. It is a big venue, but it doesnt feel like it. They had good options for alcohol, and I didnt feel like there was a bad seat in the house. Patton Oswald putting on a great show didnt hurt either. I would love to go more often if they got more popular comedians in on a regular basis.

We enjoyed our visit to the theater. Lots of lovely character to the building. Its well maintained and clean as well.

Saw a comedian here. The line to get in was around the corner and it moved so fast! They were very efficient getting people in the doors. Beer line wasnt near as efficient.

An Old Icon of the Tucson Downtown Beautifully restored and a great setting for shows and concerts

Its a fun venue thats way better than the normal dinner and a movie night. Fun place to take your date. They serve wine, beer, and liquor. The seats are comfy and the shows are fun. Definitely check it out if you want to go downtown and do something a little different for the night. Also, theres street parking or lots nearby (lots cost about $6, garage $7). Congress street is part of Tucsons downtown nightlife so before/after the show you can check out the local bars and restaurants.

The staff was very accommodating and made it an enjoyable event. It was not Broadway but the energy and dedication the crew put into the presentation showed. I recommend giving them a shot.

I went and saw a show here. Plenty of assinged sets. You can park across the street. Had snacks and clean restrooms. The theatre it self is beautiful. The engravings on the walls are awsome. Highly recommend seeing shows here!

I really like this venue and Im glad it is still around. I went for part of the Banff film festival and it worked perfectly. They can seat quite a few people while still retaining a feeling of closeness and Tucson history. Plus, depending upon the event, you might be able to get a nice refreshment from the bar or partake in promotional shenanigans in the lobby. Great space, great time.

Never been here before. Couldnt find a better place to see Its A Wonderful Life! Watching a classic movie in a classic theater was awesome. The decor is incredible, acoustics were great and the price was refreshing. I will definitely be back to see more movies and concerts in this venue!

A Renovated, classic building now a great venue for artists and showcases, from Tommy Emmanuel to Japanese drumming to kids movie showings, its a great spot to enjoy whatever they bring to the stage. The love seats are great for couples, and from just about every point you get a killer view. As per usual refreshments are pricey but the venue itself is so unique and different every show is a joy.

Its old, the seating was made for people with very short legs. And tiny butts very very uncomfortable place to set for a very long time.
