This is probably the best golf course I have ever played for the price. The course is in solid conditions and has great views of the surrounding area (especially 17 & 18). My only complaint Is slow play as our round took about 5 hours. With that being said, I definitely understand why the course is so busy!
I love this course! Some of the best views in the Tucson area. Its a challenging course, to be sure, but its typically in great condition. If theres one downside, its that the challenging nature slows down pace of play. This being said, the plusses far outweigh the minuses. If you want a chance to experience true desert golf in Tucson, this has to be near or at the top of the list !
Good day on the course. Overseed looks very good, greens are rolling well. Staff are always friendly and competent. The track is challenging and a windy day adds to an interesting round! Pick your tee boxes well or it will be a long day!
Consistently a great golf experience. One of the top 5 courses in the Tucson area. Staff is always friendly. Perhaps some of the best views of Tucson of any course. The layout (Robert Trent Jones designed) can be challenging at times, but is overall remarkably playable. We played yesterday just before the course closed for their annual overseeding. In preparation, the fairways were tight and rough with a LOT of bare patches. However despite that, we still enjoyed our round! Last year they had one of the best overseedings in the area - looking forward to playing this course again in the winter.
Absolutely awesome course. Mostly forgiving fairways (most not all) awesome elevation changes and the staff and attendants were always around and helpful. Just played a charity event there for LEOs and its was awesome.
I play here 5-6 times a year. It is consistently in great shape. Nice layout with scenic mountain views. I put it in my top 5 favorites for golf in the Tucson area.
Hadnt played here in like 4yrs but the course was in real good shape for early June. Staff was friendly and the two guys we were paired up with were very cool. I had forgotten how many sand traps this course had lol luckily I managed to stay put of them for the most part. Had a good time and the view on the tee shot on 18 is one of the best in Southern Arizona. If you havent played it in a while definitely give it a go
WOW! I love this course! Its tough, so if you like a cow pasture this isnt a course for you. Be sure to get a course book from the pro shop. Its gives you a look at the holes and yardages to the bunkers. The course also has a great app with a GPS/electronic score card! Really helpful. Greens are in awesome condition and the fairways were nice. Bring extra balls! You can lose them easily if you miss the fairways. The views of the city on many of the holes are incredible. Staff was great ! Ill be back!
One of the most beautiful, well run,and well kept golf courses, Ive ever played, good job staff
Good design but the course maintenance is really bad. Greens were in good shape though.
Great layout, very scenic, interesting holes. Tough back 9. If not long off the tee play the Blues on the front 9 and Whites on the back. Would have rated higher but greens recently aerated and very bumpy. Will play again when greens in better shape.
A great test of golf!!! The greens are spot on in November.
Great course. Not too challenging for a longer hitter. I almost always used my 4 iron off the whites but tight and interesting all the same. Covid precautions in place with inverted cups on holes and no drinking water tanks on the course so bring plenty!
Very nice golf course ... Fairways beautifully done, nice and firm so you get nice roll, greens are really fast but readable ... Real pleasure to play and very good price ... Highly recommended!!!
The grille stayed open until 2 pm. The course was in pretty good shape. Employees did a great job making is fell welcome
Great course. Never seen so much wildlife on an AZ course, which is saying a lot. Coyotes, roadrunners, deer. Almost every hole.
Fun course as aways some fairways are under repair but did not hender play.
Great service. Greens are in nice shape
Very nice place, just hosted the SALEF golf tournament.
Spectacular experience on a great golf course. Well maintained, greens hard to putt and very fast. Great view from every where! Staff and food was exceptional.
Nice but very challenging. Fun to play.
So Beautiful! Lovely greens.
For the price it is awesome. I wanted to just keep playing even after the sun set. Really well maintained. Great course
There are many other nicer golf courses to play in the Tucson area. Bunkers are filled with rocks (not waste areas) and are extremely inconsistent. Several quirky holes. Im surprised at the positive reviews and ratings. We saw the drink cart on the third hole and that was it.
Beautiful Views of Mountains on nearly every hole! A few blind carries from the black and blue tee boxes. Bunkers were excellent, fairways were exceptional, and greens were extraordinary! The prices were reasonable and the staff was very kind and helpful! Highly recommend this Exquisite Course!
Wow! Two late day rounds Dec 2018 ... gorgeous, challenging RTJ course; excellent condition; fast, tricky greens; bunkers not prepped only neg. Need a local to give you a target on blind par 5 #11 (hint ... left side of brown house / mt range notch in distance). Apparently coming back from the brink ... under-played, so lots of availability. Staff super-nice & accommodating. If you’re in Tucson, make time for this gem. I’ll be back! #RTJonesgolf
Great course and reasonably priced. Course is in great shape even in 100 degree weather. If I were to be picky, I would say some work could be done on several tee boxes as they are a little beat up and tough to get even footing.
Course was on excellent condition.
So beautiful! Full PGA style golf course
So much fun! Tough course but extremely fun and in great condition! I booked online and the rate at the pro shop was less expensive so the pro gave me the lesser of the two. The staff was great and very personable! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area! Also, you get a great view of Tucson from the course! Highly recommend this course to anyone and I will be playing here again!
Being from Michigan have enjoyed the course . Well maintained .bag boys do a great job getting ready to play.
Wonderful and challenging layout. The course is short but long hitters are challenged with accuracy off the tee.
Course is in great shape and the restaurant is now open for business.
Fairways n greens need alot of work
Beautiful course very challenging
Beautiful course, good prices, great people!
Good track. Needs to be played a few times to learn the layout. Good greens. Some doglegs. A little water. Lots of cacti and brush. Some serious elevation changes. Nice clubhouse and proshop. Very well run. Worth the money.
Course is in great shape. Also the pro that helped us in the pro shop was awesome. Thanks Jim!
Challenging course in great condition. The setting is really special; like playing through a saguaro forest with elevation changes that provide several panoramic views. The staff is very friendly, courteous and professional, giving the impression that they genuinely appreciate you being there. All things considered, this course is a good value...and the food is good!
Outstanding! Played 18 recently. Under new management this course has completely reinvented itself! New carts, new hours and better quality of food, overall nothing but great things to say. Reminds me of the days when the University of Arizona played here. Beautiful views, challenging desert golf. Will definitely be back and hopefully they continue to spread the word about the grand re-opening!
A well cared for, Arizona golf course with many changes in elevation, rabbits, birds, unadulterated desert, and great views of the mountains and City of Tucson.
Awesome layout, very challenging and fun golf course best Par 5’s in Tucson! Par 3’s are very awesome as well. Only negatives are the green side bunkers need som fresh sand. Hope to be back soon, I hope the new management address the bunkers only thing holding me back from a 5 star rating
Played a round here yesterday. All in all, the course was in very good shape. The fairways were nice and plush, the rough was thick and healthy, and the greens were fast and true, if just a little bit hard (but that’s nitpicking). The clubhouse and facilities were excellent, as was the staff. The only really glaring, and I mean GLARING, issue was the bunkers. For the most part they were hard as rock, with very little sand in them. They’re difficult bunkers in the first place and, in the shape they’re currently in, were almost to the point of being unplayable. If they fix this one issue I’d give it 5+ stars. As it is, it’s still a great course for the price.I played this course a couple of times in it’s heyday in 2007, and if the bunker issue is fixed it’ll be back to being a real gem! Still recommended though!
Awesome course to play. Well kept and challenging.
Beautiful location and views on a very well maintained course. Plenty of water available and refreshment carts drive around if you need anything extra
I just got done pain there Friday the 15th one of the employees is it a whole sorry to say thats why can be 1 star
A beautiful place. Great views, great course, great club.
Dont think Ive ever played a slower course. Beautiful views but not for 5.5 hours.
Great course and inexpensive. Cart girl does an excellant job to keep you hydrated. Awesome views course in good shape year around.
Beautiful course with great views and smooth fast greens
Fast greens, excellent fairways. Very good pace of play.
Best views and course conditions in Tucson metro area.
Arizona International Sunday Easter Brunch was PHENOMENAL!!!!Chef Joshua Daily does it again.Bernie Eaton the GM and his staff are so attentive and friendly. Will continue to look for more Special Events for OUTSTANDING FOOD AND FUN TIMES
Consistently great service at this club. Course in beautiful condition.
A beautiful course and fun to play.
Wonderful time today for Easter brunch. Party of 22 didn’t want for anything. Staff was super and food was outstanding.Thank you Bernie Eaton for all you do there. We will be back.
The rough was so long that I lost 2 balls in it, its not the US open Arizona National, I didnt notice anyone running out from off the fairway and sticking a flag next to my ball. The other problem is you many times cant actually see exactly where to hit it. So, you aim where it looks like you should hut it but upon arrival, they have grow out from the bunker or where the fairway turns, so a good shot is not rewarded. To me the greens superintendent is not following the real design of the golf course. Maybe what, 2% of the people who play here are pros. The rough was also wet, so wet you were wedging it out. The greens are very good. The tees are not level, the bunkers are not consistent, which I can accept, overall I didnt have fun and thats why I will never go back. Im a 9 handicap in my later years, Ive been playing golf in Tucson for 30+years, there too many courses to play that are not easy but fair and fun, this isnt one of them
Nice golf layout. Course needs lots of tlc as bunkers were in disrepair, 6 tees were totally gone and there were areas of fairways that were unplayable. Sad to see this golf course in such a state of disrepair as there are some really nice golf holes on this course. You can see there is a lack of funding for this golf course!
Its a beautiful course with amazing views.
Easter Brunch was a culinary feast with anything you could possibly want From fruits, veggies, eggs Benedict, omelette’s made to order by Chef Josh or choose from the lunch buffet ~ Service was outstanding and mimosa’s the finishing touch ~ GM Bernie Eaton is making Arizona National THE place to go for golf OR great cuisine in a beautiful setting ~ Cannot wait for Mother’s day brunch
Very nice course coming back from tuff times. Food at the restaurant was excellent
The service at Arizona National is a hole in one! We recently had some catering from their restaurant, and working with their Assistant GM Jenna Cordova and Chef Roberto! Also Mary & Sara are the best servers in town! Thank you for always providing quality service and true hospitality! You guys rock. Anytime we are in the neighborhood we make a pint to stop by the Grill and visit these fine folks! Oh and the golf there is good too! Beautiful Grounds! The best AZ has to offer!
Course in fine shape. Cart path only at this time.
Friendly staff, good greensBunkers were being reconditioned, some bare spots in the fairways.
We were here for a company party and the service really was excellent. Not to mention, the food was delicious. The way the room curves around kind of made people on either side feel a little marooned, but we did have a great time.
Had a great time on the course, got out earlier than our tee time which is a plus. Course is in great shape the rough was a bit deep but then it wouldnt have mattered if I were to stay out of it . Will be back again soon
Course is spectacular for scenery and wildlife. Greens are in great shape . No sand in any of the sandtraps likeconcrete and there are many to avoid.
Fairways werent the greatest
Prettiest golf course Ive ever seen. Fun course to play without being overwhelming. I plan to play here a lot more now!
Love this course! Friendly staff overall great experience.
Great golf course, very fair prices
Just came to an open house but LOVED the community. Very friendly employee gave us helpful info at the gift shop in the club house.
Amazing links. Breathtaking scenery. Very challenging.
Arizona National the greens are beautiful the fairways are always great the view is beautiful the greens roll very nice I always have a great time at Arizona National I think I played 95% of the courses in Tucson and Arizona Nationals got to be my favorite
SO MANY picky things out there, beyond the 3rd cut!
Golf course used to be better. Overgrown tree and bushes create unpopular blind tee shots. Not eager to go back to this golf course to play again.
Very nice and great cpnditipn
Fun course and great views. Bunkers are suspect and could use some work. Greens need to be rolled. Fairways, tee boxes and greens are in great shape. The value is great and with a little work to the afformentioned items and restaurant area, the owners could easily fetch $110 per round.
Played golf here today, wow beautiful course but you better be straight down the middle!.... this is a course you need to play!
Course was in great shape. Staff was friendly. Great views of the desert and valley. Price is exceptional for the great quality of the course. Only negative is the sand traps are a bit hard. Will be back for sure.
Pleasing to the eye, this is a fun course. The greens are pretty true, and the fairways are generous...except for holes 7-11. The bunkers are not maintained at all - very sad, you might say. Overall, a good round.
This is a goat farm. Horrible bunkers with rocks and tee boxes are a disgrace. Want a drink? Good luck with Casper the Friendly Ghost cart girl..AVOID
Fairways and greens are fabulous. The traps are not so fabulous but that seems to be the way 90 percent of the coarses in Tucson are. Hard pack dirt and little to no sand.
In addition to world class golf, its a wonderful venue for all types of events from weddings, birthdays, company parties, etc. Great staff and breathtaking views.
Conditions vary, configuration is great.
Very nice course!
Sand traps need a bit of work but the course is beautiful and well kept. Staff were very friendly!
Great views. Hard course. Not for beginners. Course was in reasonable shape. Occasional brown areas.
I had a wonderful experience hosting my wedding at Arizona National. I have to say I am a stressful person to begin with and Jenna, my wedding coordinator was very attentive and went above and beyond to making this experience stress free for me. Everything was lovely from the decor to the beautiful Golf Course scenery. I had an incident where I ordered chairs from a rental company who were late to deliver and delivered old dirty chairs with neon orange lettering on the back, I was horrified but Jenna and the General Manager took it upon themselves to personally go get me new chairs. Needless to say the day of my wedding everything went smooth and the staff was wonderful and very attentive throughout the night. I highly recommend this place and will continue to recommend to family and friends! :)
A remarkable recovery for an excellent course. AN went from a dirt road to a terrifically lush desert course after its enormous water bill was paid. Interesting layout, some excellent views, a number of distinctly up and down fairways, edged throughout with great desert vegetation, this is also a decent value. The greens are medium speed and not the challenge--that would be getting to the greens. It could still use some finer maintenance, and definitely better yardage markers, but it is well worth a visit.
Amazing course but does need sand in traps.
Arizona National Golf Club rated 4-1/2 stars: Spectacular views and plenty of elevation change is commonplace on this excellent desert-style course, which nestles in the foothills of the Santa Catalina mountains. Formerly known as Raven Club at Sabino Springs, this is another great desert-style course that ranks alongside Tucsons best.
It was very good the views are fantastic
Under new management. Beautiful course.
Best I have seen 15 years
Quiet, friendly, off the beaten path. Great course and related facilities. Not for beginners or the faint of heart!
Beautiful ️
The quality has greatly improved with the new manager
Great courseNeeds work, but it is challenging
