It was a beautiful hike! Be sure to be prepared for tics and if you bring your dog he will need a bath and grooming afterward. There is a small area to park but no facilities are available.

Nice trails. They were pretty clear and unobstructed.

These trails are not marked well, had knee high grass in areas and branches that needed trimming to prevent you from moving them out of the way to continue. The entire time while on the trail I was batting down spider webs. It feels like it could be enjoyable if maintained but at the moment I cant say Id recommend it.

It was in the location it was supposed to be in. This place needs to be given a little TLC if its going to be in the Kansas Trail Guide book. And heebee geebees as far as the little town there. Felt like somewhere between Children of the Corn and Deliverance. Just sayin.

Visited here for the first time in July 2018. As far as support faculties are concerned, there are barely anything at all: a rather small parking area, with a picnic table nearby, two stone benches, and a bulletin board type display giving a few rules but no other info like park hours or a trail map. There isnt any on-site trash can or restrooms (apparently visitors are expected to use a tree for any bathroom breaks). However, the two hiking trails are pretty nice. Seems like a really nice place for a weekend outing for the family, or to spend some solitude time with nature. Amazing that this great little place exists only fifteen minutes from a major urban center (Topeka).December 2018 addition: Had time to explore the area more thoroughly. There are two trails here, both looping back around to their starting point. The Oregon Trace Trail is the easier option, being more level, but there isnt anything to point out what traces of the Oregon Trail there are (unless I simply missed them). The Post Creek Ridge Trail is a lot more challenging, going up and down some rather steep (and rocky) inclines. This trail isnt marked out all that well; there sere several points where I wasnt completely sure if I was even on the trail at all (not good for a person with a horrendously bad sense of direction).

A somewhat secluded grassy area with two trails that do not have much direction or explanation. The material posted in the shelter is in poor condition and outdated. But the area is nice and there is wildlife present...recommend applying mosquito spray prior to arrival.

This was a place we went for a geocache, and found 4. The geologic history is very cool, the trails are exceptionally well maintained, easy to walk and very quiet. This is definitely a cool trail.

Nice, quiet wildlife area with good trails. A great alternative to the more crowded trails in Topeka.

My favorite local spot with short hiking trails, great history and peculiar cemeteries. Beautiful area.

Nice, pleasantly well-maintained trails. Two headstones mark some history from the Oregon Trail.
