This building is a big part of my life. My father ran a Crane in the 60s building it. And now Ive been working at KSC since 1985 doing Communications work on the Transmission Systems since I got out of the Air Force. I have equipment inside it and even on the roof! Love going up there for the views.
I do great things out there.
Probably no. 1 on my Florida bucket list. There is so much to see here. Youve got to do this if visiting Florida.
HOT AND Hot and Id i say it was HOT
Building completed in 1965 to assemble the Saturn V rockets that landed the first men on the Moon in 1969... We passed this massive building on a bus tour in December 1987..and could experience the massive shuttle assembled on a majestic crawler platform on its way to launch pad 39...Our tour guide explained that the VAB is specially rigged to mitigate rain drops forming inside the building because of its size and humidity factor...
The chance to see this historic building was great. To think about all the history that has happened in this building.
I highly recommend this bldg for all vehicle assembly needs.
Working today. Almost had a launch but weather scrubbed it.
Happy 50 ANNIVERSARY APOLLOALL GO FOR ARTEMIS!ALL GO FOR GATEWAY!ALL GO SPACE POLICY DIRECTIVE ONE!Thank you MR. PRESIDENT for re-opening SPACE EXPLORATION!
Great place to work.
This place is amazing - so much science, technology and history around those launch pads. The KSC guided tour is highly recommended. We got to see the VAB, pads 39A and 39B, in addition to all of the other exciting stuff. Pity we didnt have more time to spend.
Touring the Kennedy Space Center was even cooler than Id imagined.
Hey, its NASA - what more can I say about this iconic structure... if you ever have the opportunity, viewing a launch from the roof is really the best vantage point Ive seen to date. Chaperones are required but they are always super nice and very concerned with keeping you safe while in/on the VAB.
Astonishing!
Oh, what Id give to go inside! This building is beautiful! AND HUGE! A single star on the American flag is over 6 tall. The flag is huge! Just a cool place in American space history!
Absolutely amazing, if your lucky enough to get a tour inside it is so worth it. The tallest one story building in the world and it is an engineering masterpiece. So much history rests there and so much history is ready to be made there.

Everything I could have ever imagined! The massive scale of the building left my jaw ajar. To think, from within those mammoth doors, gifted minds constructed their way around every planet in our solar sytem, having a deeper understanding of what it is to live on this planet. And eventually, push our way on to another planet and, through private industry, colonize and continue humanity.
The size of this building is just mind blowing. It was an honor to be able to work in this facility.
Keeps blowing up when i try to land on the helipad
Amazing Cold War Era relic, Absolutely breathtaking in size. Cons, Cant get in without special access.
This place is amazingly big, very good spectacle to see. Couldnt go inside sadly, but still impressive.
Super cool place to visit. Very interesting to see where the actual rockets are assembled and how.
We got to go on the roof we NASA social #nasasocial so so worth it ! Fantastic views and if you can apply next time they have application open. Even if rocket doesnt launch the trip well worth it and all the staff are as enthusiastic as the attendees. Very special behind scene tour.
I went there when i was 9 and it was just one of the best times of my life
Cool is the main word here. I would definitely come back again.
Impressive building. You see it when you take the bus from Kennedy Space Center.
I have loved NASA for as long as I can remember and I have wanted to be a NASA engineer and work at the VAB.
A wonder of engineering. If it ever becomes obsolete it should be preserved.
One of the coolest buildings man has ever made. So much history.
WOW I love this place....this is the world largest single story building!
I work here and love it.
One of the special tours. Very impressive building.
Volume wise the Largest building in the world.
You can see this building from faaaaaaaaaaar away. Too bad you cant tour the building on the inside, but even just driving by, it is impressive in size!
Part of the NASA tour, it walkthrough of American Science and Space history.
Until you see this building up close you cannot imagine the scale of it. It still boggles my mind when I think about the giant rockets and what not that were in there!
Amazing
