It was awesome; the Valley Winds Big Band Orchestra played old time favorites. It was absolutely delightful and the Shaved Ice was free. We were all sitting in the shade and there was even a breeze. Completely enjoyable! The band consists of volunteers who donate their earnings to fund music scholarships.
Nice little Park to relax in if you have been walking Old Town.
We like Sam Hicks park because our homeless and friends hang out there. At least one of our friends is memorialized there in the bricks by the museum. May Animal rest in peace. We like to take snacks chips water sandwiches clothing...and offer them or just leave them on the tables. It is unfortunate that the city has plans to build over the entire Park.
Nice open area to walk or have the kids run and play. Great fof a picnic.
Loved this place. calm serene and relaxing
Great place to sit and relax. They also do monthly histories, like black history month. Great place to learn.
Has a good museum!
I want to carve my name in that rock! I love the museum and gift store. Too bad they took out the playground equipment and barbecue pits. People hassle the homeless. A friend who was a murder victim has a memorial brick in the walkway.
Great park and Temecula Museum. Sometimes free concerts and fun food. The city had great shaved ice from the promenade free. Sorry I do not recall the name. Temecula always has something happening on the weekends and many weekdays. Farmers markets. The Loop. Cheese tasting, wine tasting, antiques, the Blues, something for everyone. The casinos are close and offer awards.
This place was full of lots of loud and unruly homeless people...I personally witnessed a scene that was so out of line that children who witnessed the event fled in fear...something needs to be done to address this issue by the local authorities.
The city of Temeculashould concentrate more on fixing their roads and their infrastructure than they do this magnificent monument that they built to themselveshow about taking care of our city streets and I know some of them havent been touched in over 30 years because I live on one of them come on Temeculacome on to make you a list quit promoting ourselves and get our head out of the clouds and start taking care of the folks at support and built this town and take care of these city streets
For what it was, smaller town, smaller museum. ..I loved it! Their interactive installations were my favorite!
Temecula has taken away the grills, the bathrooms, park benches??? theres not much left. The museum very cool lots of local history. The monument stone with the local names on it very cool.
Nice little museum with displays of Temeculas heritage. Upstairs is an interactive history lesson children will enjoy. Recently, it had a special exhibit on volunteers of WWI that was very interesting. The special exhibit is always changing so theres something new to see regularly.
Its peaceful and easy to find shade. Perfect for listening to music or reading.
We went to Temecula Western days today (I think its an annual event) and saw a group of players re-enacting western scenes with shot-outs. There were several areas depicting scenes from the old west, including an old fashioned schoolhouse. There was a booth with pictures and the history of old Temecula and a booth to buy old time western clothing. We spent about 30-40 minutes, then went and strolled around old Temecula.
Cute, peaceful little park in Old Town next to a museum.
Open public space next to the Temecula museum.
Always just walking around and this is one of my favorite areas
Peaceful & quiet little area to read a book, people watch and learn some new history
Great, Cute, peaceful little park.
Good handwriting. Would read rock again.
They had an awesome wild west show today. They do it every 4th Saturday of each month. The only two months they dont have any shows are November and December.
It has founding fathers names honoring the historical things that took place here as well as the family lineages the monument was erected for. Good history, great place to dine, shop, or have entertainment.
Pretty cool
Great little park in Temucula. It is next to farmers market on Saturdays. Beautiful monument to people who traveled thru n settled in the area. Most fascinating was the name of Kit Carson in the group. I never knew that.
Nice little park in Old Town Temecula
