My daughter just loves this little hidden gem in Temecula. The first floor is filled with so much history of Old Town and the second floor is completely hands on and all for children. My kiddo could spend hours there and its all creative and imaginary play. No screens! Its purely donation only which makes it great if you are looking for lower cost fun.
Nice experience. The second flood set up is a great pass time for young and old to enjoy.
They only ask for a five dollar donation. Its right in Old Town so an easy walk from everything there. Definitely worth stopping in.
I had the pleasure of having a Saturday morning walking tour of Old Town Temecula led by Mindy Johnson. It was a wonderful experience, and she brought the local history to life in a splendid way. Thank you to everyone involved with the museum, for making this treasure possible.
Such a wonderful and quaint museum for our area. So much to learn about the history of temecula. Great place to take out of town visitors. The american farmer exhibit was truly awesome
Beautiful and Clean, very informative as well. I wish it had more people who were interested in learning more about history
The museum is a nice place to reminisce, the diorama of the town from the 1800s is the best part I think. Old Town Temecula is pretty much gone and its a shame.
Lived here 17 years and this is the first time visiting. I really enjoyed learning about the local history and seeing the old time photos.
It was interesting to learn more about my hometown. I wish there was more to see and explore in the museum though. I did get to meet a familiar artist, Bob Roth the creator of the Cool Cat paintings.
They present many different exhibits. Enjoyed Valley Winds Temecula Community Band concert at Sam Hicks Park today. Temecula has many fun events that are free.
Great small museum if you have an hour spare...enjoyed the exhibits.
Very nice it was our first time visiting!
Great little local museum; a must for Temecula residents and anyone interested in the areas history. The docent staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Exhibits on 2 floors each carefully curated. Definitely worth a visit. Can easily view in a few hours.
This is a fairly small museum, divided up into two floors. But it still has a good set of displays that adults and children will enjoy. The traveling exhibits that they bring in have been excellent, from circus posters to the history of political cartoons. Adjacent to the museum is a nice park and an interesting ibelisk listing famous people who have come through Temecula.
We were so pleased to visit the museum on a day that Mr. Steve Williamson was there to talk with us. He made our visit so informational and fun. We are a family of Perry Mason fans so loved learning about Earl Stanley Gardner. This was a delightful, memory filled day. .
Very nice exhibits of local history. Particularly like the children section upstairs where kids can dress up and work in shops.
This is a cool little free museum. It has information on Temeculas history. It has a small gift store. It also has some kids stuff upstairs, we almost missed it because you have to go up the elevator. My daughter loved the horse.
This was a wonderful find on the edge of Old Town Temecula. This little museum has excellent coverage of local history, from the time before the Spanish arrived up to today. The exhibits are well written and informative. Upstairs, there is an exhibit for Erle Stanley Gardner, creator of Perry Mason, who lived in Temecula. There is also a very good childrens play area with dress up clothes, a horse, and multiple history-based play areas. Currently, there is also an excellent exhibit on Americans volunteer involvement in World War 2. Admission is free, but there is a requested donation.
I liked it. For a small place it has a lot of history
I love the whole feel if it, the local and Indian history. The park is nice with picnic tables. Fire station next door.
Great historic museum located in Old Town Temecula. A must visit for the whole family. Interactive activities for the children.
Very nice collection of materials about Temec & the surrounding area. I lived here 1953 - 1968 so it was really special to see so many familiar faces in the many photos that accompanied the exhibits. Place gives you a good feel for the history of the original inhabitants and the changes with waves of immigration/migration as the years went by.
Very nice museum of Temecula. Also, has a great play area for kids.
My son and I really enjoyed this museum
It was a nice small museum clean nice fun activity learning room for the little ones

Love it here. Always so much fun.
Rich in history and very informative. Its a great must see place for visitors and others who live in the area.
Only need donation to serve old times.
Great local history source. If you want to know anything about where we live come check it out. Great staff to help with information gathering.
We took our 6 and 4 year old grand-daughters and they loved it. The second floor has many hands on activities for the little people.
Small but in a museum you will always learn history
Lots to see and do. Second floor has a lot more hands on things to do for people of all ages depending on what day of the week you go.
A good museum for a history of the valley, located right near old town Temecula
