Such a lovely place! The wine was utterly amazing! Fantastic service! Got to taste several different styles of wines and even ended up buying a few bottles to share with the family. We are not wine people, so it was very helpful to have a server who explained the ins and outs of the wines and how to get the best flavor as we tasted things. If you get Josh, he is awesome!
This was the first time for me and my hubby here at the Callaway Vineyard & Winery. We really enjoyed ourselves & had a wonderful time! We started off by ordering a bottle of the Sparkling Rose wine which was very fruity and tasty! My husband and our daughter ordered the Ribeye steak with steamed veggies which was phenomenal!!I ended up ordering the half crispy chicken & risotto.I have to say it was very tasty!! I couldnt believe that there was so much chicken on that plate! You could literally feed 3 people off of that half chicken!! Lol..It was all definitely worth it! The food, wine & atmosphere were so comfortable! That being said, we ended up going when there was hardly anyone there. Which was right before the dinner rush which was nice because we had our pic of any table. Also they had taken all of the necessary precautions for us too have a safe meal and experience! We not only recommend that you try Callaway Winery & Vineyard at least once if your in the area. We also suggest that you try their Sparkling Rose wine. We think youll love it! Lol. We sure did!
Lovely lunch as tasting! Ashley was absolutely terrific and was very knowledgeable. Their wines are mature and have a full bodied flavor if you live in the area and havent been by in a while. Great plan for membership if youre interested. Looking forward to entertainment once covid restrictions lift. Would recommend to friends and family for a great relaxed experience.
After feeling housebound for months, we decided to finally venture out on a recent Sunday afternoon to the wineries right down the street from us on Rancho California Road! We pulled into Callaway with the idea of just sitting somewhere to enjoy wine/views. The place is huge and we walked around to check out the many sitting areas. Although the parking lot was packed, none of the areas seemed crowded at all and there were no lines inside for ordering, either. We opted for a bottle of 2018 Sauvignon Blanc and sat on the lower level of the patio which was just beautiful. Grapevines wrapped around the railing flanking our table and with the filtered sunshine, it made for a gorgeous photo-op! The wine was refreshing, not stellar, but quite good. We struck up a conversation at the table next to us (plenty of social distance!) with a delightful couple, also new to the area, doing exactly what we were! We look forward to returning to enjoy an actual tour & tasting, as well as to try out the restaurant.
Very nice professional the wine was tasty. One of my favorites
A very beautiful scenery .We had some ceviche. Sorry I did not take the picture too quick to eat it very delicious. The salmon was delicious also the curry chicken cant go wrong so far with the food and the wine was the chardonnay buttery
We explored Callaway winery first with a tour. Cole was the host and I found the tour very informative and interesting; he focused on the history of the vineyard and the aging in barrels. We would have enjoyed more details on the production techniques, but I guess this is common to all vineyards. We enjoyed tasting a white wine directly from the giant stainless steel tank and some time in the room full of oak barrels. The wine selection at Callaway is large and there is something to please anyone. Their spot is probably the best in Temecula, with a nice view around.
The views are gorgeous, kids are welcome, nice outside seating spread out and two grassy areas for play
The food is wonderful, especially the ceviche and bread pudding. Great staff, George was very kind and personable.
Stunning vineyard views from the hilltop. Well manicured grounds, nice facilities.
The wines are fair, not the best that Temecula has to offer but above average. They have a restaurant there and the food is very good. I definitely recommend the restaurant as a place to eat. I had the pork belly appetizer and that was very delicious.
We went there today and what a beautiful vineyard. I am surprised their wines are not cold enough. Waiter came up and asked how everything was. When we told him that our wine was not chilled bough, he came back with, “well it’s 100 degrees out.” Really? Aren’t white wines stored in a refrigerator?? I did night like the taste of the flights we ordered. Maybe would have been better if they were cold
Wouldnt take us at 6pm walk in. Could have been great.
I wasn’t impressed with the wine but we had several tastings prior. But the atmosphere here was fun and fit many groups! It’s also a perfect place to end your wine tasting day with great views of the sunset and the cityscape. I will be back to give the wine a 2nd run
Had a very good couples experience in this vineyard. Tried the tasting and tour. The tour was a neat experience with a semi-knowledgeable tour guide. The wine tasting was also good although no wine stood out to me. The restaurant was delicious. The tartar, fish tacos, and hummus with bread were good options.
Really great place to visit for wine tasting and just relaxing all day long.
Love the wines here. Always a great winery to stop at.
Great wines! Try the wild yeast wines, you wont regret it!
Beautiful scenery and staff was fantastic. Got served immediately, highly recommend good wine especially the Port!!
Beautiful view and great customer service. I recommend the Rose’ Sangiovese.
Love the atmosphere. Second floor is for wine club members only. Great views. Excellent restaurant. I go here for Sunday brunch. Staff are always friendly.
A gorgeous stop on the wine trail. 6 tastings for $20 and an excellent wine club package. I tasted six wines and then purchased the same six bottles. Amazing and delicious. Live music and an incredible restaurant!
Our favorite winery with an amazing view and amazing wine. Slightly expensive because they were the first winery in the area afaik, but totally worth it!
Well deserved chill day before 4th of July Callaway provided that atmosphere even during the covid times. Masked up as usual as they enforced the mask precautions before entering their establishment. Enjoyed the time I spent there with my girl, definitely will visit again.
Wonderful view. The wines are not good taste cheap. And i love wines. Color of chardonnay is very off. Save you time go to Thronton or Somerset.
This is one of the best wineries in the Temecula Wine Country!
Great place great wine, great people!
Good place we had great service by Monica was great
This is my favorite place to go to with my girls they have the best wine in SoCal...love just having a girls weekend out at Callaway Vineyard
Nice place, great tour with Brad!
This is mine and my husbands favorite place to go every year
Loved this winery. Absolutely beautiful vistas. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the wine. I was told that they only sell their wines there so of you taste something you like, better get it before you leave!
Second time doing the wine tour with Nick excellent time at Callaway Wine. 2 half hours it was amazing. Nick did great job. I found the tour very informative and interesting; he focused on the history of the vineyard and the aging in barrels.Amazing time.
Excellent place for a bottle of wine. But the true story is behind the curtains if one can afford their owner private reserve room!
Hailey is your woman! She understood our palette and made perfect recommendations!
This place has some great wine!
Great wine and great service! Nick is the best server!
Great wine, beautiful day makes for a perfact place.
Nust beautiful. Great 0lace, loved our server
We spent a relaxing today. Tasted, ate and more tasting. Highly recommend the restaurant specials. The tasting is a bit of a rip off in price. We bought 6 tastes of wine but many wines cost two taste tickets.
Definitely great place, love it ..!!!
Worst wine tasting ever. Was ignored and when we did get someone to acknowledge us it was without any explanation of the wine - just poured our choice and went back to flirting with the young girls. Such a disappointment and after the second pour I should have asked for our money back. Not an enjoyable experience at all. Negative five stars if I could.
This was our thirt visit and it was awesome!Best winery in Temecula, jaw dropping views, super friendly staff and good wine.We visit with friends and was such a good experience! The wine is good and not that over price. The space for events is great and they even have a second floor for members if the Callaway wine club!Well comeback surely!
Great place to have a leisurely lunch with some amazing wine and great service
Golfers will be pleased to know this business was originally owned by the same Callaway family that created the Callaway sports brand. In fact the sale of this business was what funded it. Wines of note include the members zin as well as the 17 late harvest cabernet dessertwine
We did a winery tour and callaway was the third one we visited. Amazing location with pretty views. Really liked all the rosés they had!!
Excellent! New card carrying member.
A wonderful vineyard just a couple minutes outside of Temecula. Very nice Chardonnay and the folks here really know a lot about their wines. Also, the band was great! Def recommend if in the area.
Great scenery and even better wine. What else do you need?
Great experience n service. Wine n food is delicious.
Service always excellent...The gentlemen in the gift store was Superbe
One of my favorite places, foods great, wine is awesome you should try the Ambrosia its really good, also try the Lamb chops as well. The cheese platter is great for starters ..
Great food and wine
This is probably the most beautiful place I have visited in California. The winery offers an overtaking view of the vineyard, hills, mountains from the tasting bar. This place is very clean, new, modern. There is outside patio seating. My wife and I enjoyed the “on the sweet side” selections. The servers were very friendly and personable. We took a Rose’ home. We even joined the wine club. We will definitely be back.
Great wine selection and gorgeous views! Also, loved the outside seating area, comfortable and located in great viewing spots. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We came on Monday, so it was VERY slow, but it was actually kinda nice to have the place mostly to ourselves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We were lucky enough to enjoy the VIP tour with Cole who was very knowledgeable and down to earth. Callaway is a must when wine tasting in Temecula!
Theodore gave good service

For a $20 wine tasting I was expecting much more than a nice view of the vineyard. The wine reminded me of the one time I fell asleep with my mouth open and the ceiling fan on. BONE dry.
Delicious food and really nice wait staff. Perfect for mothers day brunch.
My friend and I went here on a wine tour and had a blast! Every wine was wonderful! The staff was fun too!
Great view!
I purchase a club membership and used for the first time, staff wasnt very friendly specially because we were told to keep the voice down even if we were just having a simple conversation with the family not being loud it all, but because they were having a wedding down in grass area we were told to keep the voice down, if I pay for something I dont feel like someone can just come up and told me what to do specially if I am not doing anything wrong, definitely not going back anymore and at soon is I get chance I will cancel the membership! Not recommend this place!
Coming all the way from Tampa, Florida this was definitely an amazing experience. We had lunch and did the wine tasting and Jake who helped us was even better. It nice to see someone actually love their job and what they do! He is the one who really set the experience to a new level. Shout out to Jake thank you for being so great and giving us a time to remember. Wel will definitely be back to visit again and will be asking for you!
The wine tour was great. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. They have good selection of wines too. The visit was worth it.
Amazing Sangria!
Great place to hang out, all the staff is friendly. Cole gave us a private tour with a group of friends it was a good experience and he was very helpful and knowledgeable
Im all about this beautiful spot! Great place to spend the afternoon with family/friends enjoying the California sun and some delicious wines!
Definitely a 5 star here! Really cant go wrong
Place is beautiful but awful service. Staff not friendly at all and I have had better wine. Not hating but wont be back. Service is everything to me.
Very nice wines (especially cabs) and fresh tasting restaurant
Great Fun Place good wine a lovely way to spend on a weekend
Great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine!
Special as always.
Delightful and refreshing experience
Always good food and wine. Husband belongs to wine club, we did the tour this time and very informative. Learned a lot. A bit pricey.
We were lucky enough to have our group of 4 tasting and tour at 11am to ourselves with Brad as our tour guide. Tour guides can make or break an experience and Brad had exceeded our expectations. Very knowledgeable with all our questions and served us passionately. 100% recommended and very impressed with our overall experience.
Service was not the best, but OK. The hanger steak was ordered medium, but most was charred and over cooked, potato wedges was so dry and stiff, not tender inside. The Manila clams were supposed to be steamed, but they too were overcooked and chewy. About 30% of them were empty, so whats with that? The shrimp pasta was cold and only two shrimp, whats happening here? Now for the dessert, creme brulee was good, the bread pudding was completely charred on the bottom/burnt about 1/4 of the bottom, they hid it by pouring chocolate sauce all over it so that you wont notice it until you are chewing charcoal and its too late. Its presentation was horrible. The place was not busy, so I cant give them the excuse that they were overloaded with customers. It just seemed that the cooks didnt care or just need some time to get their priorities in order. I paid about $200 for this meal and was it worth it? Not for the food or wine. By the way the wines paired with each dish, were totally bad matches. Sad that they have such high potential but they must be having a off day and taking it out on the food prep, because Ive read some good reviews before coming, but dont understand what happen with such simple dishes. Im not a chef, but I personally wouldnt serve a burnt dish to anyone. I would have redone it. Over cooking clams of steaks tells me that something is very off in a kitchen. Ill try them again on another day, only because a friend asked me to give another chance
A fun experience with beautiful views of the hillside. Twenty dollars a person will get you six tastings each. The selection is more diverse than some restaurant wine lists but I definitely enjoyed their reds more. There is a restaurant on site as well, only serving lunch Monday through Thursday with a double seating on the more popular days. Worth a stop if youre interested in Temecula wine.
Being a club member, I can say that their wines are good and the location is pretty good too; but they could get a few more seating options. Try their Winemakers Reserves. Both Reds and Whites are worth a try. Skip the restaurant if you are a vegetarian.
Beautiful place. The best views. Cole was amazing. Very knowledgeable. We signed up for the wine club!
This winery has incredible wine selection and amazing food at the restaurant. Had some great fish tacos and hummus. Stop is kind and friendly are you knowledgeable about the wines.
The views are amazing, beautiful and never ending. Food selection is ok. I had the cevechi and my mom a salad, both were good. Wine is good. Dessert was to die for. Ill go back for that. #Clydeafornia
A beautiful winery with great history (definitely take the tour, short but worth it.) Great views of the rolling hills filled with grape vines.
Its very nice. It was exquisite. We brought some friends this visit who had never been to Callaway. As a result, we bought a case of 2016 Cabernet. Thank you.
Purchased a wine club membership as a gift for my parents & unfortunately have not had a great experience. This is my 3rd time purchasing a holiday membership at other Temecula wineries. The others were great! Sent a beautiful card, excellent emails with exclusive events and provided great service. Ive experienced nothing issues with Callaway Temecula & would strongly suggest a different winery for your membership. The winery is beautiful, so its unfortunate. SUGGESTION: Visit for the day, but if youre considering a membership pick a different winery.
Good wine
If you happen to have some free time in Orange County, highly recommend a Temecula wine tour. We hired a driver to take us around Temecula and stopped by Callaway. Callaway’s tasting room does 6 tastings for $20. We don’t really know wines that well, but the bartender helped calibrate us to a wine that we absolutely loved within 3 tastings. We ended up buying 8 bottles to ship home, the Sparkling Rose. We sat outdoors with live music and sweeping views of the hills and valleys surrounding Callaway. It was a picture perfect afternoon.
Enjoyed a wonderful day out on patio with my puppy. Beautiful day, very relaxing.
Great atmosphere. Cole was exceptionally helpful in the wine tasting to find one that fit me perfect. Lunch was awesome with great food and service.
If you like reds, don’t go to Callaway! Wines are light (translucent) with a turpentine taste at the end. Horrible! Beautiful view but as with most wineries in Temecula, if it’s beautiful, it’s to cover up for the subpar wines. Stick to Doffo or Wiens.
All around terrible experience. The staff was rude and refused to talk to my husband and me. The views of the valley were fantastic. But our first visit to Callaway will also be our last.
Great place! Cole poured our glass of wine, he was very friendly and informative.
Beautiful Winery!
