Big park, playground, lots of ducks and open space. Wasnt maintained the best, but we still had fun.

Neat place but overrun with trash and homeless people. Sometimes feels unsafe, Ive been aggressively grabbed and confronted by one man in particular, on a couple different occasions, who may have been drunk or on drugs. 50/50 chance youll have a great visit, or youll have to call the police.

Nice place. Lost of areas in this park to be outdoors, and socialize with friends and family. It is very spacious, 4 bball courts, play place for kids, and a cool lil creek.

Nice little community park. I went there, for the first time, to play pickleball. That was a little disappointing. The courts and fencing need a make-over.

Had an impromptu picnic and we loved how quiet and clean the park was. We also really enjoyed all the birds!

Quackers and honkers! Always fun place for lunch. However, everytime we are there, litter is around.

Good running trail goes through this park. Pretty pond. I am always surprised by the number of fishers. The park has a lot of potential. I hope the city eventually rehabs that old mini-gold course and covered event area. They could do a lot with some more landscaping, getting rid of the chain link, etc...

Love the bird life here very serene and pretty need to pick up some random trash a little more often!

This little park was a breath of fresh air. We were visiting a friend in Granger and she told us about this park located in Taylor so we added it to our schedule after leaving her place. Im glad we did because the kids enjoyed it very much. I particularly loved the swing they had built-in for babies/toddlers. Id never seen anything like it!Theres a basketball court, playground, swings, even some areas to sit by the water and watch the ducks. Very peaceful outing.

Super cute park its beautiful, great place for family picnic, playground its not that big,. The only downside theres lots of homeless people living there as u walk around u can see their bedding stuff laying around. And smell bad in certain areas!! U definitely should stay with your kids there and dont let them run around alone!!!

Perfect place for a relaxing lunch

Great 9-Hole disc golf course. Beautiful wife sidewalks, short manicured grass, well kept oak trees.Top of the line baskets, concrete tees, full color graphics at each hole and signage to next hole. All par 3.Water comes into play on several holes, but still allows for easy disc retrieval.

I love this place because of Marcus who runs the tennis courts/program His goal is for anyone who comes out, to help themselves to some fun tennis! Monday night powerball, lessons, league play, or just coming to hang out - he is there to make your time on and off the court a great experience!I also love the strange white birds that fight to sit on the few trees on the tiny island in the middle of the pond. The ducks are great too!!

A little better security would be nice, especially during after school hours. I love the geese, the ducks and the water. More benches would bee nice for those of us who see elderly.

A good spot to take the kids fishing. So far we havent caught anything though. LOTS of ducks and geese and more egrets than Ive ever seen in one location. It would be a great location for a picnic except for all the ducks.

Family friendly park, lots of space for running. Had a basketball court and mini golf course as well as a very nice swimming pool. Great for dogs and people alike. Also has 3 Pokemon GO EX eligible gyms in it which is a huge bonus

Fun little park. We did the glass bottom boat tour, which was informative and entertaining. The aquarium is fun, free, and nice and cool!

I grew coming to this park and i bring my children here to play and feed the ducks. There is also a hile and bike trail that runs through the park, as well.

Decent little park, needs to be cleaned more often though.

Decent, nicely treed and manicured park. Novel as having free pickle ball courts too. Could do some maintenance on the rustic roadways and park picnic tables. Plenty of messy geese so watch your step.

Nice open space with plenty of amenities: pool, tennis courts, walking trail, a small lake, playground for kids and basketball courts. Worth taking a stroll around the park!

Good family small town park. Well policed and fairly clean. Grills are available. Small lake is the centerpiece but careful when fishing. Ive spotted a number of water snakes but only two of them were cottonmouths and didnt pay any particular attention to me. There are dozens of water birds to include geese. A couple of them are aggressive depending on the season but not dangerous. Just watch small kids around them.

Its A Great Place.Theres a pool,playground, basket ball area, running trail, also near by a track.BEAWARE OF MEAN DUCKI Miss the old pong were they had a bigger area for a playground with some seasaws.

Good place to have a picnic or kids to fish & play. Only down side ducks can be a little bit annoying. Especially if you have food.

Spacious and plenty if parking. I do wish they had more trash cans or doggy poo stations to make it easier to clean up my dogs waste. Especially along the trails though bull branch.

This is a great park with wonderful trails!

The park is small, and ok! Room to have a little family gathering if youd like. Theres a lot of finely feathered friends there, including a small island on the lake that serves as a hatchery. Its a good spot to practice photography with a long telephoto lens, if you are a birding fan.

Could have cleaner bathrooms, but overall its a solid place to hang out. Especially the Murphy Pool is nice and cool on a hot summer day.

I was here for the Taylor Garden Clubs Run for the Roses 5K. The park is very pretty with nice walking/running paths.

Nice park. Benches are pretty old and the park has gotten dirty. People just throw their trash every where. Its sad! My kids enjoyed the ducks tho.

What a delightful park! We came across it by accident while riding around photographing wildflowers. We saw an island in a pond covered with egrets (it is a full fledged rookery for Cattle Egrets) and detoured around to the park itself. It is very well tended, with lots of open areas and walkways. There was also a delightful flock of ducks and geese (several varieties). We will definitely be returning - if you are in the area it would be a great spot for a picnic or a walk!

A truly peaceful area when you need alone time. A place to go when you need to sit by the water. A place to go if you want to go for a walk. Youre never alone there. The ducks, geese, squirrels and other little critters are near.

Well was enjoying a lunch at the park me and my 3 dogs and i hear a duck in pure agony! Being a animal lover that i am i tryed to see if i could get to the duck but no luck to cold n i dont know how deep the duck is in the dran that was located in the middle of pond by the water tower.. So i call 911 n Taylor police came out n said he would make some calls n get the duck out. This is Taylor Ducks...

Nice park for kids or to walk the trails. There is a nice playground and several covered picnic tables. There is also a pool with a kids area. Worth a trip if you need a place to let the kids play or just to walk.

Only go there if I have someone else with me now cause I got knocked a couple of years ago and my phone stolen. I havent gotten a good phone since then.

Need more benches w/shade. Not everyone wants to tan while watching their kid(s) play.

Very busy with T-Ball and baseball getting kicked off! The kids love to watch the ducks!

Murphy Park is a great place for a short or long walk. Normaly kept up and not too crowded. For a town the size of Taylor my whole family would give it a big thumbs up.

Great place run and ride bikes. Two.5k events per year!

The ducks are fun to watch. I know they are not supposed to be fed but they seem to expect it. One of them tried to go for my phone so pictures were out.

Ive been coming to Murphy Park since 1954. My kids grew up playing there and doing Boy Scout activities, and now my grandkids love to play there. Recent improvements are great. it just keeps getting better.

Playground is good for kids to play. There are ducks and poop along the lake line. I wouldnt recommend letting your dog jump in the lake its murky. Basketball courts to play. Mini golf is closed so dont count on that.

Love the park, wish there were a few more toddler friendly items in the play area though.

Great place for hiking

The park system in Taylor is a great place to bike or walk. There are several miles of walking trails. Murphy park has a walking trail, pool, basketball, tennis, and a large pavilion.

Had a friend visiting from Florida and we bought some pool toys and went and had a blast in the Murphy Park Pool it is clean the kids have their own area and we had a blast ! But make sure if you want to climb on the jungle that you get your $2 wristband because we didnt know and we felt silly LOL

They have a payscale, basketball court, a walking path, and tennis courts. It isnt a bad park, but there is a high bird population.

Great place for the kids, the jungle gym was in good condition and sandy area was a great place for my son to play with his trucks.
