Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our Serengeti Safari tour. Billy was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. Abbie did a great job driving the truck . We saw Abbie after the tour (not only did she drive the truck, but she is one of the anima keepers as well!) and she was so patient and kind answering all of our grandsons questions. It really made the day extra special and it was appreciated.
GREAT experience feeding the giraffe from the truck. She came up to the truck as we stopped and ate. We have fed manatees and now fed a giraffe. It was fun to play with her by holding the lettuce leaves as high up as I could and the others on the truck were not as tall as I am. There were 8 of us on the truck and a family with mom and 2 children gave us joy to see the kids feeding the animals and the questions they would ask. If you can, a wonderful experience.
Feeding giraffes was a neat experience. I feel it could have been a bit longer.
It was great! Saw lots of animals and was able to feed a couple giraffes. Kids of all ages would love this! Our guide was really knowledgeable and doesnt go by a script so all animal questions are open for discussion.
How can I possibly put into words how awesome this experience is?Our tour guide was incredibly helpful, informative and willing to answer any and all questions about any of the species along the tour. We got to see some pretty cool animals that arent in a lot of zoos. Rhinos, Caribou, Sable Antelope. But lets be real, the star of the show is the giraffes. You get to meet them, feed them and take a picture with them. Cupid was just the sweetest and was really excited to meet us (read: eat our lettuce).Truly an incredible experience that alone is worth the extra admission. I would do it again if I had the chance. Highly recommended.
Great interaction with the giraffes, wonderful staff members. Only complaint - too short!
What a fun experience for people of all ages. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Giraffes on this tour. We had 2 giraffes come up to our truck. Everyone in the group got a turn to hand feed them. Then they did individual selfies at the end. There is a photographer on your safari with you. They take great pictures and you can buy a package from them. You are allowed to have your cell phones to take your own pictures and videos. The giraffes were very large and hungry.
What a fun adventure! Well worth the money. Our guide was so knowledgeable. Thank you Busch Gardens for the up close encounter.
The animals at this park seem to be treated very well. The enclosures are extremely large and the plains area is 65 acres which is where youll find the giraffes, zebras, gazelles, etc. They have a trip that you can book in order to take a ride through the plains and feed the giraffes. Its extremely cool.
Im a theme park junkie and love zoos do I thought this would be an amazing marriage of the two like animal kingdom is. I have top be honest I was disappointed. I do want to give it another shot in the future but only when the weather is cooler and not during storm season. Everything was shutdown for over 3 hours because if nearby lightning. I get that. The problem is there Id nothing to do then... no shows, no indoor exhibits that were open, nothing but eat and shop. With that said we loved the giraffe safari definitely worth the extra $. We loved the exhibits we were able to see. They do a very nice job of navigating the balance between good healthy enclosure for the animals and great viewing for guests. My only other complaint as a person with disabilities is that it is not scooter friendly. Lots of switchbacks with tight blind corners made for some nerve racking near misses.
Love those wild animals..so beautiful!
You feed and pet giraffes. It was the most incredible experience. They have personality and quirk just like a family pet. If I could only pick one thing to do at Busch Gardens, it would absolutely be the safari.
I highly recommend the Safari if you want to get a closer look at the animals on the Serengeti! I wouldnt recommend it for kids under the age of 7/8, because they wont be able to see over the railing of the truck, and because the experience requires a high level of maturity to properly feed the giraffes. I also wouldnt recommend it for people who cant stand up for a 30-minute bumpy ride.We saw every type of animal that is part of Busch Gardens Serengeti Plains, and many of them were brave enough to come right next to the vehicle. Our guide, Sarah, was fantastic and knew the answers to all of the questions from our group.A PhotoKey photographer joins you on the experience to get photos of everyone. Our photographer got some great shots. To purchase these, its $25/photo or they have a $60 package deal. We were sad to find out that we couldnt get any pictures (not even just one) loaded onto our pre-existing PhotoKey. I feel that if you already paid for a PhotoKey, they should at least let you choose 1-3 photos from your experience.
The Safari was amazing! We got to feed the giraffes and they came right up to the truck. The tour guides were super helpful and funny.
Great experience, works do it again. Our guide, Will, read very informative and entertaining. Feeding/petting the giraffes was amazing!
Definitely one of the best attractions
It was fun to see the animals from the train. My toddlers loved the ride. It was the highlight of their trip
Loved the interaction and lots of interesting information about all the animals that we came in contact with!
Busch Gardens is always a great place to visit
Amazing place for all the family. Its a lovely experience to be so close to the animals!
Good place to visit a d have some fun. Typical FL wearing got really wet on the Safari tour
Visited with my family for kids spring break. Everyone loved the safari. You ride a train through the animals. Most of them you are able to see really well.
I love the Safari! Its a nice trip through the Seregenti and its always fun to feed the animals
Really excellent add on to Busch GardensNice guide. Nice close up to animals and chance to feed s Giraffe. But photos taken by their photographer are not included in the photo pass and your not even entitled to a discount. The photos they took on this trip were very good in really nice frames but really expensive
Brilliant day. A lot of amazing rides, especially coasters and great train journey to see the animals. Good food with live shows.
My annual pass is just one of the best things ever.
We had a great fun. Especially the CHEETAH ride is the main attraction in this gardens..
Loved Kyle as our guide! Very knowledgable and answered all our questions with a smile.
This was absoulty amazing. Would deffently recomend checking this out if u go to bush gardens. Feedung the giraffes was the best part of course
Fun for animal lovers & coaster rides
Amazin place! Need a entire day to enyoy everything. Lots of walking.
Great tour to do if you are in the park. Dont pay for the pictures though as you will get better yourself
The feeding of the giraffes was awesome
Wonderful and amazing experience. Worth the money.
Amazing, truly worth the money. Staff are fantastic and their knowledge of the animals is mind blowing. Well laid out. An experience not to be missed
Sooo hot, but the kids are having a blast
Always a great time!
Great place for a family vacation, lots to do, plan your days and make the best use of it.
Awesome time. You stand for the trip but it is well worth it.
Fantastic Day out.well worth visiting
Well worth the money (we got half off)! You get to feed the giraffes! So cool!!! The animals were moving around since its cooler today. FYI if youve purchased photo key, it doesnt include the tour photos.
If youre wondering about the serengeti safari and debating whether to do it I say go for it theres nothing like being able to see wild animals up close nevermind feeding it is one of those experiences that is just a must do and for the price how could you not
So awesome the animals are so friendly they walk up and take food straight from your hands
I dont know what to say except that I highly recommend adding this to your busch gardens trip. It may seem like a lot but it is worth every penny as you are able to get up close and personal with giraffes! Potentially, a once in a lifetime opportunity! Bite the bullet and go on the safari!!
Amazing time!!! Definitely worth the money!!! The pictures and experiences you get to have are once in a lifetime. Check out some of the pictures I had from the experience. Make sure your also one of the first people on the truck to get the best spot and personally I would recommend to get of the right side of the truck for the best view. check out my youtube full review for this experience just search Mrbucketlist and serengeti safari and it should pull it up for you! Enjoy!!!
Even if we didnt feed the Giraffes it was worth it. A nice tour around the reserve seeing Rhinos, deer, cheetahs, Lions, Gators etc etc. Feeding the Giraffes was great fun and our tour guide was really good.
Great experience! Recommend for everyone
This was so much fun! Although the price is a little steep the experience is for sure worth it. Getting to pet and feed the giraffes was amazing! We spent a lot of time just taking pictures with them and it was so cool!
An amazing experience!!! Up close and personal with the giraffes! Angel, an eleven month old female is learning how to interact with the guests! We couldnt touch her, but she gave me a little nuzzle! We pet the adults and feed them all. Hightlight of the visit! Totally recommend! Our tour guide was great as was the photographer Josh and the driver. It was great seeing the other animals on the serengeti!
Very interactive and informational!
This was ok. We saw some animals. Busch Gardens overall was a waste of money and very disappointing.
This was a great experience. You get to take a safari ride around the Serengeti then feed the Giraffes. The check in area has shade and water while you are waiting. I would recommend this.
An amazing experience! I loved feeding Cupid the Giraffe!
I enjoyed the safari. However, a bit pricey to feed the giraffes.Forty dollars, which goes to the support and care of the animals.Take the train since its free and youll see the same animals.Sit on the left side if you want a mostly unobstructed view and want to take photos.
Zoo and amusement park all in one!
Did the safari years ago and had such a fun experience. This year we hand brittney as our tour guide, and she ruined the whole experience. She doesn’t let you feed or touch the giraffes more than once, while she fed the giraffes the entire time! She was very rude with her rules even threatened to turn the truck back around for one picture! Do NOT go on if she is your tour guide, not worth the money.
The safari is amazing my wife and I like it a lot, really worth the extra cost.
Love the animals.
Disappointed in the lack of upkeep. It was an extremely hot day and none of the misters were working. Some of the rides were not working. For the cost of admission I had expected better from Busch gardens. I have been visiting since the early seventies and had guests from Vegas and England that I was excited to show a fun part of Florida.
Great interaction with the Giraffes. Really liked it and highly recommend this.
This was definitely worth it! From the Safari-like ride, to the staff, it felt as authentic as possible. The Giraffe encounter was amazing! They all came up to you to let you pet them as well as we all were able to feed them. I would recommend it to anyone!
These are well fed animals! All of them are happy, hot maybe but happy. They are positively rewarded, with treats of course. The giraffes are super friendly coming right up to the trucks!
Fun to feed the giraffes. Wish they talked more about protecting and saving the animals.
This was simply awesome. Definitely a close up and personal look with the animals. The tour guide was informative and very friendly. Definitely worth the trip if you go to Busch Gardens.
I love the natural settings for the animals. The food was reasonable and tasted good too! I went on Tigress which cured from wanting to be young and wild again LOL. It was a great day. Thank you
Beautiful animals
Feeding giraffes was so much fun! The photographer in the other hand was not very pleasant. She stepped on me even though I was near the side of the truck, and then had the gall to yell at me and proceeded to give me dirty looks for the rest of the trip.
When the sun rises over the Serengeti your jaw Will drop! The giraffe are amazing and friendly. You absolutely must visit them.
The all day dining deal is a must and a great deal. If you are all about intense roller coasters it is probably awesome, our family likes more subtle rides like the log flume so we werent too impressed.
This was my first animal experience and it was GREAT! Well worth the money
Was a lot of fun, cool to see the animals so close. Our guide Jodie was awesome!!!
Had a blast
It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it and had so much. I highly recommend this park.
Absolutely loved feeding the giraffes, more intimate than weve done at the local zoo. The guide was very informative and interesting. The knock to 4 starts is because the pictures are not included in the photopass - not even one.
The animals are a nice touch. And they are kept nicely or seem to be. I guess its still early in the year so they havent jazzed the place up yet. But dont skimp on your springbreak crew or offer something for not being up to par. A couple of game passes or free meal. Something
This safari was brilliant, you do have to pay extra but you get up close to a a few giraffe and even get a chance to feed them. They do charge a crazy amount for the professional pictures which are definitely not worth the price as they cost more than the actual safari! Hence the 4 stars for the ridiculous prices of the pictures.
Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Got served a raw burger. I ordered medium Rare and they tried telling me the bleeding lump of stringy ground beef was “cooked” when I mentioned something
Busch Gardens is always fun! The weather was perfect and there was no crowd whatsoever. We got the meal plan and highly suggest it if youre going to be there for more than one meal. Just know that most of the restaurants close at 7 so be sure to eat before then.
A premier activity at Busch Gardens... It costs a bit extra, but the experience is well worth it
Love this place. Refill for a day cups and smoking allowed, unlike Disney. Kids loved the rides.
It was a wonderful experience, the animals were so nice and our guide was an excellent speaker, although it did storm as I was going through so I didnt get the whole tour but anyone going here should seriously consider the safari.
Great experience! This is a great way to see the animals up close and get to have a great encounter feeding giraffes. The guide was knowledgable and friendly.
I love this park. Fun for adults and kids. Best roller coasters in Florida. I really like howl o scream.
Great place! If you enjoy being around wild animals you will love this pace.
We had a really good guide who did not stop talking. Thanks Lucas for all the interesting info. Be warned though not every truck gets to feed the Giraffes.
Very close experience to giraffes. Cool safari experience standing while riding. Enjoyed seeing animals but a little costly for what it is. At the end of the day it was something Ill never forget :)
Feeding giraffes made this worth every penny for me! Informative guides!
I love this park! Soo clean and just so darn relaxing! And they have gorillas!
Worth the money. Really got close to the animals. Guide gave lots of great info and answered our questions. It was really great to feed the giraffes.
We love all of the Animals at Busch Gardens especially Jambo Junction and the flamingoes.
It was beautiful. All the animals, and the shows, it is worth a trip there. I will definitely go back.
