Well maintained. Big park with so many different areas. Dog park for large and small dogs. Basketball court, playground, 2 sheltered picnic areas, walking trail, open field, public restrooms. It was our first time and the kids and dog loved it. Will be back and recommend.

My kids love play over at this park. Ours dogs love running on the opposite side in the dog park part. All around good time

We live in Summerville and are delighted to learn that the park has reopened. We have taken our dogs regularly over the years since the park opened. Nicely shaded dog areas, with benches and bag stations. Two sides - under 20 lbs. and over for larger dogs. However, when few people are there, dog owners are quite good about sharing opposite sides depending on wetness. Nice paved circular walking path for additional exercise for humans (or leashed pups). Would give it 5 stars except that its not always as well maintained as it should be.

Wassamassaw has a nice dog park, but beware of the storm grate in the middle of the park. My large dog was running around and his foot slipped through the grate. He yelped in pain and laid down for a few minutes. I was scared or was broken or badly sprained, but he recovered quickly before we left the park. There should be wire mesh or something over it to prevent injuries.

Its a nice place to let your dogs run and play if it hasnt rained for 3 days. I wish they would empty the garbage cans more often.

Great Community feel. Nice walking path around 2 shelters, clean bathroom, baseball field, 2 basketball courts, 2 very large Dog parks, and lots of benches under trees. Beautifully maintained.

Its big enough for your dogs to have so much fun!! The double gate keeps them from escaping and they provide poop baggies. My one complaint is that I lost my dogs ball in the woods behind the fence and had no way of retrieving it

Missing my little yorkie from around this area. She is 5 lbs. Cropped 1.5 tail. Bow back legs. Pink or blue little collar with a small paw on it.

This review is of the dog park. I have two large breed dogs who have been going to dog parks since they were puppies (they are 2 and 3 now). Most of the time, we are alone in the park. I thought it was disheartening at first since my dogs had no friends to play with until they had a few bad experiences here. Now I don’t ever want to return. A “submissive” dog came after both of my dogs today, with me getting bitten during the toss up. Thankfully, my dogs are alright and I’m the only one who suffered any injuries.On another occasion, a woman took her large breed dog to the small dog side while my two were playing in the large dog area. When I asked her if her dog was friendly, she responded that he was friendly but had “bad experiences” with my breeds. I understand the caution but I would have appreciated if she had discussed her concerns with me before totally blowing off the opportunity to let my dogs play with hers. It’s just disappointing to me that this very well kept and fairly large park is mostly empty, and that our experiences have been poor. We never have any trouble or concerns at the James Island park or any other parks in any other states that my “kids” have been to. They even run off leash at the beaches when and where they are allowed, and they make many other doggie friends while doing so.So, I give this review one star for our poor experiences and the second star is only due to the fact that the park is well kept and patrolled regularly by our finest public service providers.

Quiet park. Pretty nice climbing surfaces and swing. There is some graffiti around that you have to watch out for with readers, so beware.

There are two separate dog areas on for small dogs and one for large dogs there is a small ball field there is a asphalt walking area around the edge of the park is very safe and cleaning all the time restrooms are close at hand and very clean I love this park

For the most part this is an ok park. It provides benches and tables you can sit at, a part in the park to play with your dogs, and also a walking trail.

First time I took my 2 dogs there they had a great time. I plan to take them again.

Not a bad park one of the only ones with a basketball court so thats a little plus. But some trash around the kids playground.

Great little hidden gem. A bit close to the road for a but along the trail, but overall, very nice.

Quite park with fenced in playground. Nearby restrooms are great for kiddos. Ive been several times and have never seen anyone else on the playground. There are also walking trails, pravillions, and a basketball court.

Love taking my dog here. The dog park is very large. Could use equipment for the dogs to play on, but otherwise its nice! Hardly ever anyone there too.
