This is a beautiful park with lovely views of the water. Amazing sunset views. Theres usually a nice ocean breeze and plenty of shade to stay cool. Theres even a shaded playground!

Incredibly beautiful and relaxing ambience. I love the dock on the water you can walk around and when the tide comes in stand and walk in two feet of water. Unique and cute and romantic when with the right person!

I have loved Shepard Park since I was 17 and first visited.

Best hidden gem playground around! Great large pavilion next to covered/turf playground with a water view & great ocean breeze! Public restrooms easily accessible. Take a walk on the boardwalk & look at the boats or break for lunch at the shaded picnic tables.

Out biking and dropped into Shepards Park which is just SOUTH of the Roosevelt Bridge on US1 SOUTH BOUND and adjacent to the MARINA at the foot of the bridge. THERE is a WOOD DOCK for walking and sightseeing and the regular Park with picnic areas for cooking out and SQUIRRELS just waiting for a BAG OF PEANUTS . ITS a fun spot to visit and pretty much in the CENTER OF TOWN it is also GROUND ZERO for SUNSET PHOTOGRAPHERS such as Greg Cappiello on Facebook GROUP SKY GAZING and MORE, the same as I am, who posts sunsets more often then the POST OFFICE posts letters, HAHA . Great park on the water downtown. Terror is a pier and dock surrounding the park. Beautiful lawns, walking paths, sand playground, Pavilion, and restrooms. Very clean and well maintained

I love taking my kids(2.5 years and 8 months) to this park. It is always clean and well cared for. The park has a sun cover which is nice on hot days. They also recently installed a fence around the park.

Great because it has a covered playground. The swings however are not so they are directly in the sun. Lots of very friendly wildlife. Bring peanuts for the squirrels.

Theres a nice little bridge/ levy to walk out onto. The animals are super friendly, except for the lizards. But dont be surprised if the squirrels and birds come up for a hand out. And I didnt see any manatees on my visit but the locals said that they see them often.

Sunset Yoga with Zekes Surf and Paddle was amazing! We had land participants and paddle board participants. Such a great way to end the day - especially with the sunset view we get at Shepards Park

Love this small park located right off US1 in Stuart. On a small Creek, there is a walking path, childrens activities, picnic tables, several park benches, sanitary facilities. Ability to see boats, nearby restaurants are available. Lots of grass where children can play. A park in the middle of a city!

Great relaxing place to retreat. Fun for small get together and great place for photo opportunities.

The best place in town to watch the sunset and see boats. 2 restaurants near the water, 1 had live music. A must see!

Ive always loved this park. The newly renovated kids park is quite nice. The view is always breath taking, which is good for dates.

I love walking on the dock along the waterfront view. The playground is covered and there are nice swings.

Its a really lovely and relaxing view. Could also make for a nice stroll on date night with your significant other. A must visit spot in Stuart for sure!

Very clean, right on the water with a small childrens park. Excellent view of the intercostal waterway and also a boat ramp.

Gem of a playground. Perfect for younger kids, well maintained and sun-shielded. Close to the water with a short walk that offers extremely pleasant views of the water. Not a lot to fault here.

Great for kids, nice playground, also restrooms. Beautiful scenery on the water. Walkway over a lagoon type water pool. Boat ramp, plenty of parking. And I think fishing is allowed. I could see this as a nice place for an artist to sit and draw all the boats, especially sailboats, on the scenic water with the bridge in the background. And I specifically appreciate that the park doesnt close at dusk. Sometimes you just need a little private time to unwind after work, for those that work nights. Only 3 as far as I know that are open after dark in St. Lucie Cty.

I get this park 5 stars because of its central location in Stuart, a boat ramp, outdoor playground, Waterfront dock an absolutely beautiful place to be during the sunset in fact its where I got married..

Got married here. Paid for a proper permit to rent out the park. Put up decorative signs letting people know a wedding was happening. Got the cops called on us 3 times!

Great little inner city park water access for boats fishing boardwalk nice play ground for kids

Meh...Seems ok, nice paths along the water, but felt almost industrial, with the condos and boats right there.Water Is dark and mirky/dirty. Nice shady spots with picnic tables, if available.

Called the yellow and blue park, our 3 yr. old grandson loves it. Always shaded again [post-hurricane preparations], we never worry about him getting too much sun. The rubberized surface is always cool and bump-absorbant. The various climbing/ sliding apparatuses allow for plenty of physical exploration. A large sandy area encloses the swings. A brand new rest room building is moments away too.

Very nice park with plenty of shade, even the kids playground has plenty of shade they have public bathrooms which are very clean you can even walk this little path that goes out to the ocean and then back around to the park they also have a covered picnic area with outside grills it wasnt very crowded when I went but then again it was Wednesday so Im not sure about the weekend and there is plenty of parking, very nice and friendly play area for the kids

River walk is beautiful ( Ive taken some incredible photos there, like the ones you see here) but the transient element leaves a lot to be desired. The playground has been updated fabulously!

Absolutely amazing park, right off the Roosevelt bridge, so the breeze is amazing! Playground area is covered with a sun block. Has four swings, two normal and two for infants. Playground built for ages 5-12 but my twin 1 year olds were fine with constant supervision near the edges. Boardwalk surrounding the park that takes you along the river way out by the boats and back. Bathrooms on premises. Also mango tree that has ripe fruit dropping right now.

Nice quiet waterside park. Free to attend drum circles every Sunday evening circa 6 pm (sunset). Fishing, bbq, picnic, playground, other than this however there is not much to do. Small park.

We saw 5 dolphins swimming on the river while we were walking the boardwalk at the park. Beautiful covered playground. Nice boat ramp too with parking for cars and boat trailers.

A hidden gem that mostly only the natives know about. One of the best places in Martin County to watch the sunset with sailboats on the horizon. Last time I went the boardwalk was under repair, but it makes for a nice stroll with a pleasant breeze.

Nice waterfront park on South fork with great sunset views. Nice boardwalk and shaded playground for kids. Boat ramp next door too.
