A really nice place to do a quick nature hike. There isnt a decent trail you can just walk by the river but the mile long trail that was there was enjoyable enough. It had a few obstacles but worth it to see the waterfall. You can even swim and sunbathe if you want. More trail though please

Very easy to get to. Free parking. Several socially distanced picnic tables at the top wayside rest area. Beautiful beach at the rivers edge. Large, handicapped sized portobotty. Big map of trails with history of the area.

It was my familys first time visiting this park and we couldnt be more satisfied! With little kids it can be hard to find easy and inexpensive entertainment. But this park, along with the scenic overlook, provided us a wonderful outdoor adventure for several hours of entertainment and a quiet place for an afternoon picnic. Well definitely be returning here in the fall as I imagine the colors will be beautiful!

Very cool place to explore. Sandstone bluffs along the St. Croix River, lots of graffiti. A large cave! Sandy beach and a trail that will lead to a waterfall if you keep going north.

Beautiful place besides people leaving messes. Theres broken glass everywhere so make sure to wear good shoes! Lots of people doing photo shoots. I like fishing here.

Great place to enjoy the river. It would be nice if the DNR could clean up all the graffiti though.

Really nice place down by the St. Croix river. Can easily make a fire and camp out, go searching for rocks or take a walk along the sandstone wall. Love this place.

Super cool but smaller than expected. The beach has the softest sand!!

Beautiful place for hiking and great views of the St Croix river. Great place to have a picnic or kayak, and wonderful place for kids to run around and explore. Great access to the river and the current is pretty calm as it is tucked into a sort of bay. Of course there is graffiti which is unfortunate.

Nature is truly beautiful. My husband and I were there the last week of March. I can only imagine how beautiful it all looks during summer time. There was this really groovy cave worth checking out!

Good fishing, lots of glass on the beach unfortunately

It wouldve been really neat if I wouldve been 10 feet tall. The trees and vegetation were much higher than the fence. We were able to sneak a peek through the vegetation and it was really neat.

Go down the stairs and go north, go past the fencing to the waterfall. If youre adventurous go past the waterfall and up the 45 degree incline to the sandstone. If youre more adventurous go higher. Just watch your step.

Great little beach on the St Croix River. Cant wait to explore it this summer.

Saint Croix boom site is on the st. Croix River on the Minnesota side in Taylors falls Minnesota do you still log their years ago... Now its a tourist area and camp well not really camping but day picnics in really nice nature area be careful climbing the cliffs there are some dangerous areas... Beautiful nature view

This recreational park is the bomb! You have a beautiful waterfront view, a nice walking path, and you can swim for free! I have been coming here since I was a kid and I wont stop going!

Was able to recreate a photo from my childhood. Original photo taken 1990ish with my father and brother recreated with my wife and dogs 2018. Special moment. No 5 stars due to the lack of trail system but very nice place for a small hike, check out fairy falls on same trip only a few blocks away.

Always an awesome time.. However, all night parking is now being discouraged even if vehicle is occupied. The city also removed the onsite bar-b-que grills that used to be conveniently accompanied by the waysides fire pits. It seems Stillwater has lost some of the nostalgic magic it once had as a refuge for bohemian lifestyles and became modernized cliche storefront/ upper level condos for the upper class. Nonetheless, still a scenic area worth the visit. Just cant park overnight anywhere, however, the sheriffs were kind and allowed us to stay the night under circumstances regarded extensious.

Very limited parking (like ten spots). Unfortunately there is some pretty unaesthetic graffiti painted on the rocks.Also, the waterfall/creek comes from a pipe sticking out of the cliff. That said, the riverfront is very nice. Super flooded as of July 2018, unsurprisingly.

Very interesting. Just 3 short flights of stairs gets you down along the river. Definitely a great place to explore.

Picnic area is very nice. Cement steps to river are good. Due to high water, we could not swim in river with little kids. Just recommending to check river conditions if you want to swim.

This place use to be nice but its now a dump. All the cliff sides are covered in graffiti and there are empty liquor and beer bottles, dirty diapers and used condoms everywhere. Such a shame.

There is a waterfall in the way back of the boomsite. For the longest time I never knew the name till recently. For those that are curious the waterfall is called hidden falls, And its been called that since 1919

The waterfront is a great place for photos! We did senior pictures there on a sunny day this fall and they are fabulous!

A great place to have a picnic by the river. There is the possibility of if using picnic table and chairs there but you would be missing the view of the river.

Very little parking, broken glass all over in the sand, super crowded, no trash cans, trash all over. Graffiti all over. Much better places to visit.

Pretty area, though the river floods every spring making it a bit smaller until the waters recede.

Trashed. Full of garbage and broken glass everywhere. Dont bother.

Ideal to walk by the river, unfortunately the public restrooms were demolished few years ago. Anyone knows who and why government demolished them?

Used to have modern restrooms but they took them out for some reason, and now there is nothing but port-o-potties.
