Its a great facility for Springfield to enjoy. However, the management staff at the front desk is incredibly rude. If you show up and youre 10 minutes early with nobody on the court they will pull you off and make you sit in the lobby. Weve even been told to leave when it was out time on the court until they realize they really never checked the time... Just assumed we were in the wrong. When I come in no one acknowledged me. I typically wait while everybody is talking in the back and not acknowledging me at all. No smiles... It seems when the manger is in people are in fear.We rent out courts for staff to get exercise and do some team building. It just sets a really bad mood to have such bad customer service and a non-welcoming environment right at the front desk. I hope in the future there will be a more inviting environment for those who are paying to use the facilities...And not penny pinch every second on the clock or hassle people unnecessarily. It also wouldnt hurt to just smile and welcome people in.

The facility is fairly nice. I visited during the volley ball tournament. There was not enough parking to accommodate the number of people. People were parking illegally and creating new parking spaces/lots. I totally agree, the black lines on a dark gray make calling games very difficult. There is no sound baffling in either of the court areas. The noise level hovered around 80 to a high of 89 decibles on my sound meter app. The refs were having a tough time, because people cant hear the whistle or tell whose it is. The refs being back to back in their stands did not help the problem. The second court area is designed in a way that you cannot help going on to someones court to get to your game.

This facility is super clean and I’ve never had a bad experience during tournaments. However after reporting the smell of gas to the front desk this morning, I was told it had already been reported and they were waiting to hear back from a supervisor before doing anything. I asked them to call the fire department and evacuate the hundreds of players and spectators. I was told that is not their protocol and that a supervisor had to decide that even thought the front desk workers could smell the gas. They allowed at least 45 minutes to pass before evacuating the building. Even longer to call the fire department, which determined there was in fact a gas leak. How irresponsible and dangerous of this facility to wait that long to evacuate and have the building inspected. So many kids and their families at risk!!! Child safety should be their top priority not to mention The safety, health and well being of any person using this facility. CHANGE YOUR PROTOCOL and have someone there during these weekend tournaments to make that call if a supervisor can’t be reached !!!! Ridiculous to risk people’s lives What a joke!!! Mike the superintendent reported to the news that the fire department was called immediately, that’s not true! No one called until 10:56 which is an hour after the smell was reported to his staff !!!! The facility DID NOT respond in timely manner ..... WOW!

Big basketball court and friendly staff. Gym is usually always occupied with some random activities so 1 court is usually open to play on. 45 a month for members and prices go up 5 bucks each month if you do month to month payments. Also have plenty of basketball leagues to sign up for.

I have been to the Keefer Center many times to play pickleball. It is a good facility in terms of having lots of space to serve many sports activities. However, there are things that annoy me. (1) handles sound badly. Incredibly loud, no sound deadening. 2 children running and yelling in the adjoining section sound like a herd of elephants. Basketball sounds terribly loud. Group noise deafening. (2) Not enough restrooms. Need restrooms closer to the points of activity. (3) Set-up is awkward. The cardboard separators for courts should be on a rolling cart to make set-up and take-down easier and faster.

Katelyn the supervisor that deals in the kids club after school program is rude heartless and could care less about a child being stranded with no one to pick them up. I got stuck after work with no possible way to get my daughter on time and when I called to try to pay to get her in kids club until I could get there she with zero emotion told me it was too late and ONE extra child would offset the child to teacher ratio too much. Even though I’ve picked up my child with a full class with two girls watching them more than once. I get there are rules and I normally wouldn’t be upset but in special circumstances I think a person working for a place like this would have a little more compassion. Me being upset is more for how she handled it and her condescending tone.

Love working out here, always room and everyones friendly. Were just red necks having a good time. If you dont like it here, thats your own fault. Best staff anywhere. Equipment needs updating a little, but all in all, a great experience.

This is a great place to lose a few pounds. Assuming you just dont pay drop in everytime you visit you get a really nice deal. They added new memberships which is epic. I suggest you guys/gals come here and give it a shot.

They canceled my climbing class because it didnt have enough people, and didnt have the decency enough to tell me before I showed up and waited for 30 minutes. Made my little brother cry because of it, he was excited. Guess Ill go somewhere better.

As a Sports Facility, it is good for volleyball tournament Space for teams and spectators. The court areas are a little small and volleyball court lines are black on dark plastic tiles. The facility signage call it Willamalane Center so dont let this confuse you.
