Russ was very helpful in giving information to a new player like myself, and multiple times showed that his main concern was being helpful to me. The discs are reasonably priced and well organized, and there are plenty of accessories to be seen as well. I even saw some discs that were sold out online. Ill be back again for sure. So I have heard nothing but great things about DGM and Russ so I decided to drive way up here and check it out. It’s a very far drive for me and I was excited to get a new putter because I need one badly. Upon pulling up I couldn’t really figure out where to go so I just knocked on the door. No one answered so I waited around awhile and still nothing. I tried calling and left a message but haven’t heard back. It’s a bit confusing for someone who’s never been there before as you can’t really figure out if you should knock on the door or go around back. Long story short I drove out a long way to check this place out just to waste an hour of my day and on top of everything else leave empty handed. If you’re going to leave your business maybe just put up a sign or something signaling people that you’ve left and will return. Feels bad to drive out and waste a bunch of gas to leave with nothing. 2 stars based on all the good things I’ve heard from all my friends. I’ll most likely return and hopefully someone will be there next time.***BIG EDIT***The best way to go about going to Disc Golf Monkey is to just give Russ a call or text before you head out there. He’s a busy man and he does so much for the disc golf community in this area. When I went today he was in the middle of making baskets for a new course in Arkansas. Russ is seriously the nicest guy you could ever meet. He took time to talk with me and helped me out immensely when it came to the type of disc I needed to match my game. You’re not going to get that type of help at Play it Again Sports or wherever else you may get your discs. I can’t say enough good things about the guy. I got an amazing bag and 4 discs from him today and I will 100% be back next time I need more disc golf stuff. Such a great man and such a great place to get your gear. Go see Russ and stop thinking about it!

I really wanted a Cloudbreaker 2, so I called my old shop back home in Missouri to see if they had one back when they were released. Since I live in Vegas I thought I would give it a shot. No luck, but they mentioned Disc Golf Monkey may have 1. So I called, and Russ hooked me up. Very thankful for the communication, and customer service. Thanks again!

Rus was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and gave great advice. The selection of discs is large as well. It was much better than going to any other store. I highly recommend.

Russ was very patient with me. Im a novice and my lady is a beginner, but he took time to help both of us pick out a few discs! She got a few discs to start out with and I got a new putter! I look forward to going back for a satchel too!

Russ was super helpful! My gf and I are new to the sport and bought our first disc’s off amazon before we knew about this place. Instead of trash taking us buying off amazon he said we hadn’t picked out bad ones for our firsts. He had answers to all our questions and even guided us to picking out some more disks based on our throwing styles and what we had to report from our 2nd game we played that day. 10/10 recommended by me!

A home town Disc golf hero. Incredible knowledge of the sport and a huge selection of thing you know you want and things you never knew existed. Competitive pricing is great but getting the answers you need for each and every driver, putter, bag or accessory is worth way more! Just give him a call and he will meet at his shop. I have read some of the negative comments that have me scratching my head. Russ is a nice and accommodating man and I have never seen anything to lead me to believe any of the petty and spiteful things I have read on these reviews.

Disc Golf Monkey is the go to guy in Springfield and surrounding areas for all things Disc Golf related. He doesnt hesitate to offer help and insight if you want it and will go out of his way to make sure youre happy. He doesnt just sell disc golf items, he plays, lives, and breathes it. He puts a tournament series together every year that is far more organized and player pack friendly than anyone else around that Ive seen. Ive been dealing with him for 3+ years now and hes always treated me right, gave me helpful advice that has improved my game and he has even delivered merchandise to me before on his own time and dime. Great guy and company. A+

I am not a fan of stores that are located inside a residence. There is a very small sign in this guys front yard. Not sure if the store was located in his living room or garage. There was no clear evidence where a person was supposed to enter. They need a professional store front.

TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! These guys are amateur, unprofessional and rude. They created a wildly unpleasant experience that I hope noone else ever has to go through. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
