For a municipal course its in great shape and moves quickly. We played in 3.5 hours. Nice!

A really fun course and very affordable. Small greens but soft, control is king not distance. Highly suggest for your anyone looking for a quick 18 with a good score.

I golfed there today 2/12/2019. The pro shop staff were very friendly. I think they gave me a generous discount, because I was the only on that wanted to play the soggy, windy conditions. I had a blast regardless. I had the whole course to myself, its usually pretty busy. Its amazing how much being able to focus your mind instead the rate of play helps. 10/10 nice course with some well designed holes. Everything looked taken care of considering the time of year. The greens were in good shape, not many divots at all. Tee boxes only look rough because people took some fat shots, not the courses fault. Ill play here again many more times.

Great Course. U.S. Open Rough. As good of Bent Grass Greens you will find. Inexpensive. Friendly Staff. Drove up from Dallas to see Family. Bill and Payne is always in the rotation.

Me and a friend set a T time online for 5:30pm. When we arrive all the carts had been put away and we had to wait for them to bring us one. I asked if the daylight happened to effected our compleation of 9 holes if we could get a rain check on the rest of the holes, he said yes so we payed and headed out. Our Cart arrived....no key, so we head inside to get it. We have the key and we are at the cart now, a staff member then comes outside and informs us they in fact will not give us credit for unplayed holes...after we had asked and then subsequently paid. We finish 4 holes in a hurry and then return the cart on time. Dissatisfied, will give buisness to other courses in the future.

Enjoyed the course it was a little confusing and the tee boxes were pretty tore up but overall pretty decent. 4 stars because the staff was kind of rude in a stuck up way.

Greens were generally ok. Unfortunately no one takes care of their damage to the green. Tee boxes were generally in bad shape.

Nice golf course. I like taking my kids to the par 3 course. My son just took the junior golf camp lessons. He had a blast and learned a lot.

Very thick, tall grass made it hard to get any lift on the ball in a lot of places and not a great course for nighttime despite the lights. Might be better during day.

Beautiful day, but the tee boxes were awful.

Well two college kids came in and were in line before me. The elder gentleman at the front was hospitable to them and even though there was no tee times he got them off the back and even gave them the jr golf rate. Let me tell you first that I come to the Springfield public courses and pay full price 100 times a year. I am a regular. He had no hospitality towards me. Didnt care to take care of me like he did the college kids before me. Discrimination at its finest.

Some of the best softball players that played in competition in Springfield in the 50s learned to play in that Park.

The only nice things about it were the carts and greens. The tee boxes and fairways were full of weeds and very unkept. Hard to hit off of crab grass and dandelions.

Pretty and quiet, but not very interesting play and not well maintained. Fees are pretty high for a course thats basically a pasture.

Great beginner golf course not a bad price too

I was recently price checking a few golf courses so I can place the cheapest option. Then the man I talked to was incredibly rude and arrogant. When I tried to ask my question he sounded very annoyed, and completely bothered by me and my questions. I have zero desire to ever play there.
