This ia a very nice little park. It has a large parking lot given the size of the trail and has some cool skills courses to practice your riding on. Theres plenty of space for people to spread out, a larger pavilion that would be good for a family cookout or small event, a bike repair stand with tools, and trash cans for both trash and recycling. Its located a litttle off the beaten path but worth a drive for the casual rider or a family outing. Pictured is a snapshot of the pavilion/parking area relative to the trails and a nice lake. There is a small MTB trail called Thunder Chicken to the West and a scenic small lake with a concrete path to the East.
Nice short trail. Easy to access
This is a very nice small lake with impressive fishing access. The trails are nice & wide around the area.Several trails converge at Lake Springfield.
Calming, a nice relaxing walk. A little get away without leaving town.
Nice place for a informal wedding.
Very clean trail. Slight hills and beautiful scenery. Plenty of parking. Variable distance ( we only did 3 miles :) Bike repair station if you are riding.
Very pretty hike but smells like sewage at times due to water treatment!
Well, this place has a lot of potential. I liked the way the trails were designed. But it was all overgrown like it hadnt been trimmed since the trail was opened. All of the jumps on the black diamond section had thorn vines and branches growing across them so that you would be flying through them in mid-jump and couldnt see what you were going to land on. I know from online videos of this place that it used to be in much better condition.
Mountain bike trails need some serious work. Wouldnt recommend riding anything without walking first. Only decent trail is the Thunder Chicken trail itself, with everything else completely overgrown. Be careful for large rocks in the trail. I hope someone can get out there to clean the trail up. Its pretty sad how bad its gotten.
Great place to stop off and hop on your bike or go for a walk or run.
Great trails and place to practice skills. Close to great cider and beer for the after ride cool down :)!
Thunder chicken is a fun little trail system. The climb to the top is a bit washed out from all the recent rain. There currently only four trails but great if you are short on time.
Awesome, and I mean awesome community fishing hole here. Place was packed on a Friday night. Perfect walking and nature location, very dog friendly as well.
No real sign at the trail head. Concrete trail leads in from parking area near pump track. You have to feel your way around.
Fun course. There are also beginner and intermediate courses at this location as well
Its very fun for your kids and family if they love fish so they can get some fish and play in the water
Very beautiful
A somewhat hidden gem in Springdale. Its by the wastewater treatment plant, so sometimes you get some chlorine-like smells, but its never overbearing. Springdale has worked hard to improve the quality of the trails with wide, paved paths and architecturally interesting bridges.
The sprung creek trail has good views but it smells funky in some spots
Lake Springdale Trailhead is a parking access location to the Razorback Greenway Trail theres a gazebo watering fountain recycling bin theres also numerous Trail signs as well as a bike repair station theres a small bike obstacle course and ample parking with handicap access for anyone wishing to visit Lake Springdale.
Very clean trail, the parking lot and all areas were very well taken care of. Will definitely be back.
Sure, its pretty...but it smells like sewer from the water treatment plant right next door. :(
This is straight up one of my favorite locations in all of Springdale. It has an amazing trail system with various difficulty levels. Suitable for extremely technical riders to beginners. At the very end if your in it for the jumps this is the place a tucked away jump paradise. This has a stream running at the base so if you ever want to ride and fish there you go!! I would very much recommend this to anyone who likes riding trails.
Its cold as hell there in the early hours of the morning and its damp really bad to but its pretty very nice in certain parts its a whole lot better then California
Nice, easy trail around the lake
The trails, if cleaned up and maintained would be slot of fun. Thunder Chicken has a lot of potential. I encourage the city anyone to volunteer to help clean it up. Loose rocks everywhere, overgrown brush and grass on the trail itself actually makes it dangerous. I caution anyone going out there for the first time to scout ur lines first. I gave 4 stars only because of the potential. The other trails are a mess too. The climb trail is full of so much large loose stone that I had to walk about a third of the way because it was agonizing.
A beautiful place, must see in NW Arkansas
Very clean trail that wraps around lake springdale. Links up with jbhunt park and the razorback greenway, making it a good spot to park and hike/bike to either as theres always parking. The hike down to emma is beautiful and follows spring creek, and you can refuel at the dollor tree or one of the restaurants there before continuing on
Really Great riding spot. The trails could use some work, but people just riding them would help keep them in check. Be sure to watch out for downed trees after a storm.
Rude people on the bike trails... Cant even take your children to the park without some chick screaming obscenities around children. Should have never closed off the original walkway the lake.
It is a very fun trail that follows the river.
Nice parking lot area for Lake Springdale and trails. Its kind of a hike to get all the way up to the lake but its nice. Parking lot is half gravel now but looks like they are going to fix soon.
Fun trail with some great features!
Pretty cool banks and paths. Definitely a track for every skill level
Fat bike fun
Fun place to go walking with my family
Great
Short and sweet. This trail is easily accessible from downtown Springdale. I like all the features that were packed in. Downtown Springdale is really blossoming and this trail is a nice addition.
Gotta love it, just because of the name. But, you also get easy access to the Greenway, plus, its just a short walk from here to Lake Springdale, which is always stocked and makes for good fishing
Very peaceful and felt safe!
Always a place to park and its a good distance from downtown Springdale to ride your bike comfortably. The parking lot was washed out during a massive rain we had once and its still not fixed.
Enjoyed walking talking in the woods with my childern.
It was a beautiful walk, especially this time of year.
Love it! Beautiful walking grounds
Great place to start a bike trip or a running session.
Great for walking and biking.
The trail needs repairs badly
Nice stopping point with seating and parking.
Riding the trails nwa has some of the best bike trails
Great mountain bike trails. Go ride!
Great place to walk
This place has a couple flow tracks and a short paved trail and creek.
It was very pretty and peaceful.
Though it got washed out and half of the parking lot is gravel now, this is still the best place to access lake springdaleI like to take my dogs to the creek and there is now a nice hammock center thing near the lake.
Nice place to park and hop on the trails.
I love this place
Missed the trail
Awesome
Horrible
Its a trail head.
Lots of open space to roam about
Favorite place to park and start bike ride. Clean.
Service with a smile.
Well designed and maintained bike trail
Nice parking area, no restroom
It is a very nice walking area
