Cheap drinks and a big dance floor! The music varies each visit and sometimes is better than others. It seems the earlier you go the more old school country is played. I love how close it is to home and a fun place to practice dancing.

This place is always great on wednesdays but tonite they had an awfull DJ... he did a very good gob of keeping people off the dance floor with his bad choices even though we made some recomendations... his arrogant attitude would not take any suggestions, so well make sure not to go when he is playing.

Really disappointed in having to Update my review November 2rdTonight my girlfriend got over serving, she order something and the lady screw it up, gave her doubles, the price should of been 3.00 for what she order the price she paid (17.50) the mger help us and took it down to 3 dollars, but said to keep what they gave us, so she didn’t let it go to waste, she can hardly walk, or stay awake, we Uber home!!!!It was amazing!!! The only thing that would of made it better would of been if they food. The staff was amazing! Only issue I have is that leaving a bar you should be allowed to take the bottle of water (4.00$ x 2) we had to throw it away.....

I been going to Big Texas north for a long long time. The place is starting to show its age inside and out but the dancing has always and is great. Free lessons on Wednesday night draws a great crowd of good people. Staff is always friendly and free popcorn and cold water is available for those who dont drink.

Ladies free all night Wednesdays, which happens to also be a great night for dancing and it can get crowded! Cheap drinks, friendly people. As with most dance halls, there is often a more mature crowd the earlier you go and a younger one after midnight. Thursdays can be kinda dead. Theres concerts many Fridays which can be a lot of fun.

LOVE LOVE LOVE going there! Its been many years since I have had a girls night out! Its also been many years since I have gone to a club...I kept thinking Im too old to be out dancing with my sons age group lol..... I was pleasantly surprised to immediately see that I wasnt the oldest there! YES!!!! Big Texas is definitely THE ONLY place to go for 21+...or is it 18+?In all honesty, Im excited now knowing that there is an extremely safe, fun place that is close to home for many more girls night out! I think its pretty cool how 3 and 4 decades of age difference under one enormous roof, while consuming alcohol didnt have disturbance. Im thinking its because all of us who go actually have been taught the good Southern way. Im sure just like all dance clubs with an eclectic mass of people in one building there have been and more and likely will be an issue here and there which is normal. I never saw any type of disrespectful behavior or anyone blowing their stack for whatever reason.....thats one reason why for a 5 star review. Every staff member I encountered were great! Drinks are priced right, a food truck just outside, tons of security, Ladies Nights and valet parking is also available. I need to coordinate another girls night out soon or invite everyone I know, meet up, have a few good drinks, dance and have fun! Ive been to a lot of clubs throughout Houston and the surrounding areas since I was 18 (Ill be 42 in October); Big Texas in my opinion rates #1 in my book for memorable fun times! Yall all need to check it out if you havent already!!!!!

We were racially profiled against. After a year of going, one of their security guys said he didn’t “trust” my friends’ ID. What? Horrible experience. They need to either get an ID scanner or a better brain because he clearly did not know the difference between moving states. Not going back.

Great place for country music and dancing. Good beer selection. Good service, fairly inexpensive comparatively. Not a country music fan and I still had fun.

Great place to have birthday parties. The bouncers that worked there had to stop the people from coming up the stairs because they wanted to see the male and female dancers my daughter surprised her sister and fiances 50th b/day.

RACISTS. my black friend showed them his ID and about 30 minutes later they came back asking to check it again. it was a legitimate ID and had other forms of ID but “it didn’t sit well” with them. They were just looking for an excuse to take him out.Also, drinks are cheap but once you have a sip you realize why, they are watered down- can’t even taste the alcohol. If you want to pay $3 for fountain juice this is the place for you.

I definitely wasnt impressed. I wont be back. This is the first place in the Houston area that the people were rude. The bar tender totally ignored me, when I had a question about the lessons they have, the instructor completely blew me off. Bye bye.

I always like driving the extra miles and coming out here. Everyone is just laid back and good quality people that you dont find at Stampede or Wild West. They have ever skill level of dancer, women are not afraid to get out there and try. Most of the bartenders are great. Never have had a bad experience.

It is a Texas Dancehall and Saloon. You get 0lenty of beer options. Plenty of pool tables and dance room. Doesnt pretend to he something its not. Genuine and truthful place.

Fun place to go dancing. They have free beginner dance lessons on a Wednesday night which eye good fun and taught us the basics of two-stepping and east coast swing.

The rating is high because the I consider the category. Dance hall. This place is an outstanding dance hall. Enormous dance space. Floor is smooth and level with the proper application of sawdust. I can slide just enough with slipping out of control. Sound quality is superb. No rattling speakers or distortion from too much bass. Good mix of traditional and contemporary music. Top 40 song at the end of the 2 step, waltz, polka, swing cycle. Long-necks, wine $2.75. No smoking gets this place the 5th star. We danced all evening and didnt leave smelling like an ashtray. If you want to partner dance, this is the place.

We always have fun at Big Texas when we come to visit! We are from the Dallas area. We brought donations to help with flood victims. Today was wonderful at BIG TEXAS! This was a good thing what they did for the Flood Victims! Brandon & his staff put in a lot of hard work! Bravo Brandon!

My favorite place to go, I havent been to any other dance hall. I hear other ones closer to Houston are smaller so I just stick to this one. They have live concerts sometimes, just get on their website or social media pages. They play really good music, old country to new and even some hip hop in between. They have really good security too

The dance hall was awesome, but Sammy Kershaw was really disappointed in him I sing back up vocals him and Georgette Jones and he really didnt pay attention to people that drove from Louisiana to see him and myself that cut a song with him never came to do a meet and greet with his fans, or and anything.

Motorcycle parking up front, always a good food truck by the entrance (cant miss it), good selection of country music & nice people! ID check & $7 /person on a Saturday night with out a band playing. $1 purse check (leave it with them) and get anything from it throughout the night for no charge. Best dance place in the woodlands area Hands Down.

I have been going here since it was Rockin Rodeo on teen nights. Still the same. Lots of nostalgia for me. Its clean and nonsmoking inside now. Smokers deck on the patio. Good music. Cold drinks. I like the food truck setup outside a lot.

Having just come from Florida I didnt know what to expect when I was invited by a friend to join her at this Country dance club/saloon. I have to say I was blown away! My first thought when I experienced the dance floor was that its like an old fashioned roller rink with fun loving dancers and newbies just kicking around and having a great time! Then, the circular aspect suddenly stops and youre in the middle of a good ole line dance. The music was great and the drinks were very well priced. Ill be back for sure!

Best breakfast & brunch in Spring and the Woodlands. No pretentious hipster food, just down-home classics that will warm the belly and spirit. Excellent venue for concerts as well. We love the acoustic shows the best but youll have a magical evening regardless. Couldnt recommend any more. Estella is an amazing waitress if you are lucky enough to get her.

I experienced in this place what I perceived as the true Texan night. An incredible atmosphere, friendliness from start to finish from everybody. You ca see very skilled dancers but at the same time, being a super newbie, inviting to go and try.Decent variety of drinks at the bar, reasonably pricing and if not in the mood for dancing you can just sit and watch or go and play pool. Supernight!

Concert began very late. This wasnt my first concert at this venue. I hadnt been here in a year. The sound was so bad that my ears still hurt. Jon Wolfe was excellent. Just could not take the sound inside. We sat outside for a while and it was much better. It was if there was too much treble and base. Sad because this venue is closer to my house.

It has been years since I had gone to Big Texas nothing has really changed to speak of. The valet company was extraordinary....polite, professional & would definitely recommend those gentlemen to anyone/company to hire for their business. Their doormen were exceptionally polite & sweet & did a great job at the entrance & exit. I didnt have to deal with the bartenders (dont drink) but my family that came with me did & they messed up two of the four drinks. They switched to beer after that less chances of them messing up. Drink prices were very high compared to most places, according to my family that was here visiting from the Fort Worth area. I personally enjoyed the music it was a nice change, good mix of dance & County & Western music. The live band was awesome, thoroughly enjoyed them. Overall they showed me a good time down to the bathroom valet (she was phenomenal), the staff, the atmosphere, the taco truck (outside in the smoking area), and the valet parking!!! The drink prices were a bit steep but other than that they were spot on

I preferably like going to big Texas there are lots of beautiful women, and plenty of ways to enjoy the night. If a fight doesnt break out, then its not a good night.

Went for the Josh Abbott and William Clark Green concert the other day and while the venue was good, the audio equipment towards the back of the bar was horrendous to say the least. Most songs were incredibly muffled. Not so sure I would return for another live music event. And thats a real bummer because these were 2 of my favorite artists. It was bad enough that my group of 8 walked out early. We noticed as we were leaving the audio wasnt so bad up front. So maybe it was just the back speakers that needed to be replaced. Felt like I wasted some good money though.

Its a dance club where people go to peacock, drink and maybe hook up. Also, personally, if I want to listen to live music, Ill go to a concert. Stick with a DJ. Jus sayin.

We had a benefit there and the staff was wonderful. The music was great and everyone enjoyed the experience

Cops are watching when people leave. I got stopped in the parking lot by a Constable. I knew she was just checking to see if I was drunk so I asked why I was stopped - said a light was out... I asked if I could get out and look but she said to just wait until she runs my license - she came back and said I just get a warning. I was completely sober so git let go. Relatively clean place for a bar/club. Ok dance lesson. I appreciate the place is non smoking inside, so you dont get the cigarette smell. Drinks are not too expensive and free pop corn and karaoke! Some singers are horrible and theyre fun to watch. Lol. Not really a country music fan but I think anyone can have fun and a good time here.

If you like dancing in a circle like Nascar, this is your place. Good drink specials. They have a kareoke room. Be sure to reserve a table or two if you are bringing a large group. Line so dancing songs and some hip hop round out the music set. I was hoping to hear a lot more classic country, rather than new music.

I go dancing there a lot. Drinks and bartenders are nice. The only negative I have that is a constant is the DJ. Either one plays too many songs that no one dances to. And they even will play the same songs more than once and doesnt play very many new songs that have come out in the past year. Update your playlist.

Great atmosphere. Some of the greatest country artist play here while they have a huge oval dance floor with a third bar in it! They also have karaoke nights in a separate area away from the country fun!

Everything was going good until we stepped foot in the karaoke room. After a few drinks, me and my boy finally got the courage to belt out some sweet Uncle Kenny, but the guy running the show was a complete goober. He said we were too intoxicated to karaoke. Does that even make sense? Who sings karaoke sober? Its my God given right as an American to sing poorly to an amazing country artist, and if I want to do that while my stomach is soaked with alcohol, I say let me. Drinks were great though
