We adore this park!! There is truly something for everyone here!! A wonderful playground, lots of seating, a creek to play in, tennis courts, wide open shady places, a bike trail, picnic shelters, what more could you want from a park! It is lovely and the city of spearfish has several events throughout the summer at the park as well. Definitely worth checking out!

Great place for family, friends, new lovers, and chance encounters. Green, with mature trees and right beside the river. A place enshrouded with history and universal love where everything thrives.

Very pretty and the landscape is well maintained. Nice playground for kids. Volleyball sand court. Its fun to have gatherings and parties in the sheltered area. I like hanging out with my friends there. The bathroom maintance needs some work though.

Love this place. Soft green grass, awesome playground, all with the trickling water in the background. Right next to the hatchery and a campground.lots of trees to hang hammocks and a lovely place to walk dogs.

Beautiful place to take a nice stroll. No garbage but there is minimal construction. Worth the walk and to check out. The fish hatchery is close by and also worth checking out.

Love this place, a real gem, connected to the D.C. Booth fish hatchery! Not only are there lovely views of the water and a place for you kids to play they also provide the balls and such to play with. Dont forget to return them! Best of all it is free and so is the hatchery!

A very pleasant time spent at the park with my daughter who asked me to join her for a meditational experience.

Fun for the kids (play area and the creek). Covered areas to bbq. Room to run and play things like football or soccer. Volleyball court, etc. Lots of shade as well.

Really cook location, lots of epic water. Not very accessible for elderly as there is a very steep area. There is a restroom and park bench though, excellent location for a family picnic or even a date!

Absolutely beautiful! Great for walking doggos. Large park for kids. Places to sit along the water. Large covered area with picnic benches. And right next to the fish hatchery! Grab some lunch and have a picnic, you wont regret it!

City Park is where I like to go when I need to get away from the stresses of this life. When its cold outside I just stay in my car at the park & enjoy the beauty and peacefulness. :)

Great place to hang out and is very beautiful withe the creek and the fish hatchery right next to it.

The play ground is fenced in and you have the creek to play in, hiking trails,fish hatchery and walking/biking path

I was amazed by a rv camp ground called City Park. At first the name just didnt do anything for me until we camped there and then camped their two more times. One of my favorite places in that area with a large creek that winds through it and deers roaming freely. I hate to write a good review because to me this place is a gem, but decided to share it. Nice walking/jogging, biking paths. Dog friendly, very clean, family oriented, full hookup, campfires allowed in certain areas. The sights are not huge, but the scenery is worth it. One minor negative the roads inside are kind of tight if youre 40ft, but doable. We went to Dead Wood, Mount Rushmore and then Black Hills area. They even have a Walmart near by.

We have camped at this park many times. This is the first time that we were disappointed with the bathrooms. Only one bathroom house was open ( campground was full) they should of had both bathroom houses open. Also the bathrooms were not clean :-(

Great spot for a picnic lunch (either under the shelter or by the creek). Huge, fantastic playground area that kept 3/5/7 yr old boys entertained and multiple bathroom buildings close by.

Loved this small park with lovely pavillion and neat stream running through park. Nice playground for young ones.

This is nice place to spend time and have fun with friends and family. There is great kids playground.

Beautiful park. We were traveling through, stopped and got a pizza and the young man working there suggested the city park as a good place to eat our pizza. We got there and one of the maintenance guys was cleaning up the grass clippings. . .so we moved tables. He continued to circle the area we moved to over and over blowing grass on our lunch. The gentleman cutting the grass stopped by and my husband explained what was going on and he took care of it. If it wasnt for the first guy, I would have given this park 5 stars.

Very nice venue with good sized picnic shelters, clean bathrooms, band shell and large childrens play area with plenty to play on, in and around.

Quite and laid-back. To much sun. Not ample shandy spots to take a break and take in the sights. You never know what you will see.

City park was great, went hammocking! Nicely kept and well maintained grounds. Theres plenty of room for activities plus an awesome wooden playground and volleyball net. 5/5 stars

A river runs through it. Spearfish Creek, actually. Probably one of the most beautiful city parks in the whole USA.
