Spearfish Rec & Aquatics Center

This water park is a great place for the entire family. The view you get is awesome too. It is right off of the side of the road and has beautiful mountains in the background. The pictures I included don’t do it justice! You can slide down huge slides, stay with your little ones in the small, shallow part, or enjoy the “playground” with small slides and an ENORMOUS bucket that dumps water out every so often. Super fun and a good way to kill some time in the summer. Staff members were awesome and friendly, I am impressed yet again by Spearfish! 10/10!

Gone here many times and have never had a problem with it I highly recommend you stay with kids though

Fun place for kifs and family.

Awesome pool facility! Tons of life guards on duty. Kids had a blast. Keep in mind they must be 48 inches to do water slides. Well maintained and clean. Staff very friendly and nice to kids.

I had never been in the rec center. Impressive! My grandkids have passes and they go often and enjoy it. While I was there for the first time just for my grandsons baseball practice I was able to observe many activities going on. Pickle ball, some ladies around my age doing speed cycling and light weight work out, basketball ball, it was motivating. Im looking at possibly joining and going back!

I kinda hoped for WallyMart to relocate back there actually.. Easier walking distance in winter conditions from downtown Spearfish..

The facility has a great cardio room and weight room. The staff are very personal and friendly and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend it to visitors and foljs who live in Spearfish.

Wonderful place for spearfish. The pools are so great and reasonably priced snacks and drinks. Great employees. Swim lessons for the kids are the best. The city needs to support this place!!!

Great facility and better staff!

Lots of people all enjoying the cool water. Didnt like that the two men lifeguards left big sweeping poles by the kiddie pool. I saw several people trip on them. Definately a safety hazard. A little disappointed that it cost $3 just to sit in the pool area.

Fabulous, low cost water park. Food and treats were very reasonably priced. You can bring floaties for the little kids. They have some flotation devices to borrow, too. Our 5 and 7 year olds loved it!

The kids absolutely love this place. Will have to try the indoor pool, sure it will be better than Rapids.

Great park and warm water. But apparently not so keen on swimsuits that are bought outside of Walmart. Everything was covered and held in; asked to cover up because it’s a “family park” without given any reason or warning. Ruined the visit. Don’t plan on returning.

Its a nice place, lots of opportunites for working out, but the prices are quite high.

My family and I decided to visit here because we love to swim. The swimming/splash pad at this establishment was amazing! There are tentative life guards, none of the staff was on their phone or occupied talking to other staff. The bathrooms are easily accessable and there are plenty of places to sit, both in and out of the sun. Highly recommend!

So much fun!!! The teenagers in charge are whistle happy, but a good spot for the family for a day.

Great facility, but even the 1/2 off summer pool feel would run my family about $600 for the summer. Ouch.

The aquatic center was really fun. Me and my bf at the time enjoyed it with his little sister. There was so much to do for the five hours we stayed there. The only thing that was super long was the break time. It was supposed to be 10 minutes but ended up being 25 minutes. We were dry enough so we went home after that

We always have a good time swimming and riding the slides. A must if you visit Spearfish!

Fun place got mostly everything

Nice & clean...only complaint is the bleacher seats we had to sit on for the basketball games...wire mesh...must have brought them in from the pools.

Its a great addition to the Spearfish area and the pools are good in the summertime. Another big plus is the annual membership if you want to workout is very cheap. Unfortunately the weight room is somewhat lacking still, even though they have made improvements and it is clean, because of its small size. The two basketball courts are nice and the elevated walking track is a good wintertime alternative. Overall a good facility but could use expansion someday.

No stars. But I hate to put one down or I cant post this. I would put zero stars because you cant go down the slide with a life jacket also you cant go over to the deep end with on one they seem to be against safely and also are crazy to think that a person who cant swim can go without a life jacket

Great to swim in the summer. Open until 7 PM, and admission is 1/2 price after 5pm.

Always welcomed with a friendly greeting. I go here 3 times a week to workout and its always clean. I like that they have a code on the door and only give it to people who want to workout. I would recommend checking this place out.

I visited for a very short time with a friend. Looked to be very clean, open friendly atmosphere. Ill definitely be going back to explore all they have to offer.

We had a great time. The water was warm in every pool. Lots of canopies for shade. The splash pad water was ice cold but they do warn you about that. They do allow inflatable floaties which was nice.

Great activities and facility. Classes, special events and water park all summer!

It was priced reasonable. They had a variety of snacks to purchase. But the lazy river was lacking. The water temp was colder than would have figured, but the lifeguards were wearing pants and hooded sweatshirts, maybe we should have guessed?

This is a fantastic place to spend a hot summer day. There are plenty of water features and activities for kids of all ages, and there are plenty of places to sit in the shade.

Our church camp went and we all enjoyed the water park. The slide lines were short and the lazy river was our favorite.

Came for the water park. I was not disappointed. Dont expect Disney World, but its well worth the price.

We went on a day where they had all kinds of camps going, so we waited on a waiting list for an hour and a half before we could get in. Its a pretty extensive water park once you get in!
