Neat place with old ruins and lots of space for picnics. River access for canoes or kayaks and also some calm places for kids to play. There is a lot of graffiti on the old buildings and some trash laying around, but its definitely worth a visit.

I grew up here and the changes and improvements this area has made has helped improve the changes in our community. it brings us peace of mind to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with our love ones. For me, it brings memories of loved ones. you should definitely experience the trails along the river or even if your brave enough find out where to slide down the rocks. its a whole experience if your wanting to enjoy nature.

I go by here every day & we stop at least once a week! Beautiful in the morning as well as at night! Bridge is beautiful for photo opportunities as well! Over looking an amazing waterfall ♡♡♡ Lots to see around here any time of the year. Old timey buildings around as well! Definitely worth a stop in! About 10 minutes from the East Side of Spartanburg!!!

Glendale Shoals is a nice place to go for a leisurely outing. With Lawson Fork Creek rushing by, the remnants of a cool old mill to explore, its just enough for a few hours on a sunny afternoon.

These falls are right off the road. There are a few parking spaces at the bottom of the falls and then if you drive up the road to the red bridge there are several more. The cottonwood trail is several miles up the road and is a nice hiking/biking flat trail along the river.

The area is great for cooling off in the falls and relaxing in the stream. The bridge and remaining factory structures provide wonderful opportunities to take unique photos. The area contains too much litter and limited parking, but worth the visit.

The local community obviously doesnt care for this area. Theres a ton of broken glass, styrofoam, and trash littered all over the area. What a shame, because its a beautiful spot otherwise.Would not recommend going barefoot or with shoes that are easy to puncture. Not suitable for children - stepping on a broken beer bottle will ruin your good time, guaranteed.

Taking a short drive from Greenville. There was a small bridge I wanted to check out but the grass was over grown and didnt want to take a chance on walking up on a snake. It would have been a nice place to sit and watch the falls. There was trash on top of falls that could have been picked out. There is a great walking bridge over the falls that if it had a bench I could have sat for a while. I tried to take pictures without trash.

We found ourselves on the roadside entrance that allows two cars to park. There was a small area with two picnic tables and a locator sign. Walking along the trails you really cant help but wonder how so much garbage could have accumulated in this small of an area. Once we made it to the bridge there were excellent views of the river and surroundings. There is so much to see and explore in this area but the preserves are not being maintained unfortunately.

One of the best places to hike in Spartanburg for all people. This place is peaceful and wooded with convenient accessibility with its being walkable to from residential areas. There are tables to eat at if needed, and there is plenty to look at, including a garden and the old mill buildings. There are several quaint trails here which are great fun to explore, and, obviously, here lie amazing falls. Great to go to at any time of the year. Get outside and pay it a visit!
