Grass area was wet, but we still has fun. Took some balls and board games for the children. Took a large blanket and almost took a nap. Lots of people, but able to keep a safe distance. There is an ice cream truck, but remember to take water and snacks. The bicycle and boats are available for rent now. Most people wear their face masks the correct way. We didnt stop at the bathroom, so cant tell you about them at this time.

Even during these times this place is a great spot to walk around and enjoy the scenery. I went for a quick bike ride and everyone that comes here upholds to the restrictions for the most part. It’s a safe place due to the Sheriffs presence that patrols these parks. It’s a great family environment that has some attractions like being able to fish, recreational/gym equipment, rental services and events happen here on a normal basis. The ducks are great to watch in my opinion. Walking trails/pathways are shared with bicycles but there are some off the path trails perhaps some people have carved out to avoid pedestrians if you’re on your bicycle. I’ve used those and they a re useful. Also there is a lot of parking surrounding the park for cars, trucks, RVs. Usually free during the week. It’s a great place over all.Cons:From time to time you will see or encounter homeless people due to near by encampments.Only some restrooms are open and that can change at any given time.

Beautiful spot to visit! They have paddle boat rentals in case you are on a date and want to do something together besides the well worth view of the lake and park. Even for a stroll, social distancing is practiced by those who visit. Better than staying at home during quarantine

It is a nice and quiet place to have an outdoor activity with the family. During the COVID-19 Pandemic Era, this place gives more comfort, relaxation, and space to ponder and unite with family.I went there with my eight months old boy and my family including my parents-in-law. It was such a lovely place and the sun wasn’t too hot and had a nice breeze to enjoy the scenery. Most visitors wear a mask. Thank you for not only protecting yourself but also protecting the community not spreading the COVID-19 virus.Stay Healthy, Be Safe, and Be Well everybody!Have A Blessed Day!Bosco :)

Huge park, great to go with kids. You can see ducks, geese, squirrels, rent bikes, paddle boats, or walk along the 3 lakes. The only thing missing is proper playgrounds. They have some sand pits with sculptures or climbing frames, and settings, but no slides. Bring things to play with in the grass. This is a great place for frisbees, balls kites, etc.

I grew up coming to this park and it has only gotten more beautiful! A little busy on weekends. Clean the bottom of your shoes when you leave, lots of geese! You can picnic, walk, fish and have gatherings. There are also sports interest areas. There is a model boat area, also. Just call and make arrangements.

I took my family bike riding here today and I really enjoyed it! The trail has great views of the lakes and the wildlife. The only thing my wife didnt like was the number of people walking/riding the trail that refused to wear masks. Even though we were masked, my wife was very uncomfortable with others refusal to follow COVID-19 protocols.

Very nice and Scenic Park. Friendly ducks and squirrels to feed with beautiful Lakeside views. Recommended for the entire family. For just an hour or two make a whole day adventure out of it. Lots of interesting playgrounds for the kids. Walking and biking trails. It also has a remote control area where you can take your boats on the lake and have fun controlling them from a very nice stage area.

Found this little gem because I happened to be in the neighborhood. It wasnt too crowded on a Thursday evening around 7pm. Busy but not crowded since the park is huge. Many great little spots to chill and relax. Took this moment to walk by myself as I took in life after losing a friend. Its peaceful and what I needed. Id recommend this spot and would make the drive back from North Hollywood. As a photographer, I couldnt resist but to capture these moments all on my phone. Enjoy!

Family-friendly recreational area with a large lake off the 60 freeway. The park is very large and there’s a ~2 mile loop that goes around the lake. You can walk/run/bike and there’s a rental spot for those family bikes if you want a wholesome activity to spend an hour or two. There’s also plenty of picnic tables if you’d like to order takeout and eat out in nature. Be forewarned that there are a LOT of geese/ducks. They seem really comfortable around humans, but watch out for all the droppings in the grass! My group spontaneously decided to rent a pedal boat (double boat is $35/hour and fits four adults + one kid under 36 inches; the single boat is $25/hour and fits two adults plus one kid under 36 in. Each seat can support up to 230 lbs). It was a great idea - it was a blast to wander around the lake and enjoy the sunshine. Parking is available and free in area D. I believe there are hiking trails around the area as well, although we didn’t explore it on this visit.

I haven been going to this park for years and it is very large and has many open spaces! You are really able to find quite areas with no one rose nearby on the weekdays. The weekends can tend to get crowded during summer. Most of the time the park is clean, but its up to you and others to do their part.If you use the back parking lot next to the Army Engineers base, you can access the San Gabriel River Trail.

A nice spot with plenty of shade to relax in and a 3 mile walking trail. Lots of squirrels, geese, cranes, and other water birds here to watch as you take a leisurely stroll. The area has two lakes with marsh like spots in them. It seems like prior to COVID you may have been able to rent a paddle boat, but I think theyre closed right now. Along the walking path, there are various signs describing the ecosystem of the park. There are also quite a few playground areas (again, closed now because of COVID).Overall the park was nice, but there were a few spots where there was a strong odor coming from the water and you could see trash in marshy areas. The restrooms as well were not very pleasant looking or smelling, but I find thats pretty typical for parks in the area. Not many people were wearing masks at this park. Even the employees of the park were not wearing their masks properly. There were a few large groups of people hanging out together as well. It was easy, however, to maintain distance from these folks as there was plenty of space to give them a wide berth while walking.

I use to fish here as a kid on and off in the 70s, 80s and very early 90s. I stopped coming here in the 90s when the people visiting here seemed to stop caring and just started leaving trash everywhere earning the lake the name of Diaper Lake I just went back for the first time in years and it seems that the city has put some good resources into keeping the place nice and clean for a change. I caught 3 bluegill within the first hour. Now that the place seems to have been cleaned up I may visit more often.

Its a beautiful park to relax & perhaps have a picnic with friends & family or even go fishing. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, I noticed it seemed quite crowded on a Sunday evening. In addition, I noticed several people were NOT wearing protective face masks & some who were not following distant socializing. But, as far as the Park goes, I recommend any person who enjoys walking or jogging this is the place to go.

Dogs are allowed on leash. You can fish with license. But on the website is does not say u need a license nor anywhere else in the park entrance -.- (There is a cop that is giving out tickets if u fish without a license without warning and he is not nice nor understanding at all!) Open mon-sun, closes at sundown. It gets pack during the weekend. There is free parking on Santa Anita st if you do not know where just ask the person on the paying booth and he/she will direct you. There are a lot of ducks. And plenty of equipment to work out.
