A great place to see the machines of war. Actual war machines that have seen combat. There is a Sherman tank there. When I visited I got to see a Huey helicopter and I think apiece of something from a battleship. A great place to take the kids just as a learning device. Can be a quick jaunt or a long walk as you stop and admire these pieces of history from tough times. Highly recommend. Went with my family and had a nice time.

Brought my boyfriend here for an anniversary surprise and we absolutely loved it! Craig from the museum was so accommodating and helped me arrange the tour and surprise for the boyfriend. His tour was very informative and he had lots of fun stories to tell. There are also RC tanks and cute camo booney hats for sale, which were awesome! Overall a great experience, will definitely come back for RC tank battles. Thanks again Craig!

Great to see all military war machines from world war1 to Vietnam war bring across the world and kept in open space. Collection is huge starting from staff car, ambulance, military trucks, torpedo, tank, chopper, boat, missile and rocket launchers, cranes etc. Museum provide a self guided booklet having numbers matching with parking space number and its detail in booklet. Its a huge military dump which were restored to showcase the history and importance. Staff are friendly and take feedback if anyone needed any extra details. Its have limited parking and open space which make it difficult at noon. But you like the collection of tank, rocket and grenade launchers, machine guns.

Very informative! My boys were amazed at the size of the tanks. A binder was supplied that is filled with facts about all that is on display. This is an outside museum, dirt pathways. We spent about an hour there and it was plenty of time. It was a perfect way to spend Veterans weekend, learning and remembering and honoring!

While the museum has lots of interesting exhibits the maintenance and appearance is lacking due to inattention by the owners. I have visited a lot of military museums/exhibits, there was no effort made to remove debris from the trees that cover lots of the exhibits and everything could use a rinse because heavily dusty. While space is limited there is a lot of exhibits which is the second part of the problem in that everything is to close together to allow pictures when desired and because most of the exhibits are back to back plus roped off getting to where you can shoot a picture is difficult.

Nice self-guided open-air museum. Definitely worth a visit. A lot of interesting military equipment that volunteers mainly care about. Someone may be affected by the neglected appearance, but it just gives the museum a spirit of authenticity. Someone might say it looks like a junkyard, but only 1/4 of the museum is open to the public the other area is a deposit.

This museum although small, it packs a lot of very interesting vehicles and history. I mainly visited the museum to see the m4 Sherman tanks they have. I was not disappointed. Other tanks are also present such as the m4 patton and Pershing tank. Staff was very friendly and answer most of my questions to the best of their knowledge. They have naval guns, equipment as well as SPGs. The tank destroyers are very interesting to see. It is definitely a place that you should visit and admire whether its because you know about military history or simply the fact these machines help keep the U.S.A free. Worth the 5 dollar entry fee.

First off, the people who work here are extremely friendly and helpful. It was a joy to come here off the bat. Then they have a ton of cool thanks and other military vehicles jam packed in the area. Finally, the price is only $5! Its so worth it, we had to get a sticker for memories sake.

Very cool little museum with a lot to see and good info about each of the exhibits. Only issue was the number of huge spiders and spider webs, not only on some of the exhibits, but also on the walkways. Granted its an outdoor museum, but a little cleaning every now and then would help.

There is a multitude of machinery here ( armored vehicles, Jeeps, etc) but it is outside subject to inclement weather and even in So Cal this is at times not good for the displays. My son and I did have fun walking amongst these war machines though.

A very nice array of armor and jeeps from the late 40s to 70s. You cant climb on or enter any of the tanks. They give you a folder with the details of all of the displays so most of your questions get answered right away. The owner is often on the property walking around and can answer numerous additional questions.

Its is a small museum but with alot of great things there that you would never really see. It has tanks, helicopters, trucks, all the things they would use in the old wars. Old missiles, and old bombs shells. Its like $7buck to get into each person. But I think everyone should check this place out at least once in their lives.

Wonderful collection of war machines, transport vehicles, helicopters, boats and experienced staff with an abundance of historical knowledge. Walk through the enormous yard and experience something almost none of the public ever gets to see up close. History on display. Yes it is dusty, but youll be captivated by the sheer size of these pieces of combat. The owner is very kind and full of exciting stories, the museum and its many treasures are maintained by enthusiastic volunteers who do this job out of love and respect for the men and women whove sacrificed for us all. Great for children of all ages. Bring a hat, some water and prepare to step back in time. I missed my grandfathers very much that visit. One was a WW1 veteran and the other was WW2. They would have loved this place. Ill be coming back soon, theres so much more that I want to see. I wish they were able to get some grant money to work on some more vehicles. The owner, Craig, his workers, and volunteers are deserving, seeing as how they are the ones trying to keep the museum going, and relevant. Do yourself a favor, and make the time to visit, you wont be sorry.

This is a great outdoor museum to come visit. The museum is self guided so you can spend as little or as much time as you want walking, reading the exhibit details provided in a notebook, and taking pictures of course. There is a lot of history here, so reading along makes it that much more interesting.

Fantastic little museum with friendly staff. This place is a regular haunt for artists and designers looking to draw military vehicles from life - you can get right up close to the exhibits and view them from any angle. The museum is outdoors so prepare for that. Overall a great place for a quick day trip, especially for military history buffs.

I love me some tanks! So when I went here it was only fitting that explore what this tank collection has to offer. They have a few gems (the M53/55 being the standout) but other than a couple shermans and M46s and M60s I wasnt too impressed. The tanks and APCs are clustered together so you cant fully appreciate them. In particular, I was sad to see only the rear of an M40/43 artillery. They provide you a book that gives a description of the tank and feels very 20th century. All in all Id say you spend at most an hour here before youve seen everything and are ready to go. But hey for 5 bucks you get what you pay for.

If you enjoy seeing armored vehicles and other military equipment up close, this is a great attraction. This is Route 66-Goofy-Kitschy-Sort of Fun!I took my younger son here on a Saturday as hes big into military museums and equipment. Its a bit of a drive from Costa Mesa but we had a good time. The museum is more like a large dirt lot with lots and lots of military equipment - both restored and awaiting restoration - are stored. The visitors parking lot will hold about 15 cars but it was never busy while we were there. The place is a not-for-profit operation and depends entirely on the entrance fees and donations to restore and maintain their vehicles. As of November, 2015, the entry fee for adults was $5 and $1 for children. Check their website for updated information. The gentleman at the front desk was really nice and friendly and gave us a binder with the indexed information on each vehicle (to be returned when we were done). You can get pretty close but not climb on, all the tanks and stuff that they have tucked away there. Its pretty impressive. Most of the equipment is from World War 2 and the early Cold War periods up to about 1975 or so. You wont find any Abrams, for example, although you will find a beautifully restored M551 Sheridan light tank and three great examples of the M4 Sherman (three different variants). They have a small gift shop under the EZ-Up tent with the requisite models, tanks, RC vehicles, etc. Some recommendations: Walking through this museum will take about an hour and the only facilities are a porta-potty. While it is very interesting and Im glad we went, it doesnt really rate being the primary reason to visit the area. Add this to your itinerary. You will enjoy it but, again, be realistic as it is small and more like a restoration shop that is open to the public. Set your expectations accordingly. Additionally, the facility is not open when it is raining as its on a dirt lot and there are no canopies.Directions: The museum is on the east side of Rosemead Blvd. If youre coming north on Rosemead from the 60 Freeway, stay in the right hand lane as the museum will quickly sneak up on you and you will miss it if youre not watching for it.
