Our tasting was held outside due to covid, and we felt they did a great job with the seating arrangements, presentation, and feel. The wines were vibrant and flavorful, though maybe not as complex as we would have liked. It was very nice sipping wine while looking out to the plaza and passersby!

Unflappable service. Great wine. A perfect way to relax in a hectic world. Our group was a bit high maintenance during our recent visit - broken glass, big thirsty dog, lots of questions about Pangloss wines - but Ryan, Cameron and the crew handled everything sublimely.

Enjoyable experience, we did feel like we got tossed aside a bit in favor of their special guest and were told we couldnt do a cheese board at the bar but then served them one. So that was a bit odd especially if the business wants more members. Other then that though the wine was decent.

We really enjoyed our experience at Pangloss! We came around midday on a very busy holiday weekend and didn’t feel cramped or rushed. Sarah did an excellent job describing the wines, suggesting pairings, and sharing interesting info on the wine maker and the tasting room. This was a great place to kick off our afternoon and I’d highly recommend it to others visiting Sonoma!

We enjoyed the wine flights. They did the perfect job of pairing cheeses and small bites with the wines. Our time here was informative and so enjoyable.

The wines at Pangloss are exceptional, but Holly Bacon is absolutely amazing. Make sure you request she run your tasting. It’s been the most educational and fun experience we’ve ever had. Holly makes you feel like you’re at home with family!!

A nice little wine shop in Sonoma. Their wine is made at a different location but they have this tasting room for a better experience. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines and also offered a tasting based on the feedback and she was spot on. It is at your own pace kind of tasting so you can save it for the end if you have a busy wine tasting day.

I love to come here any time Im in Sonoma. They have varietals that arent as easily found along with well-made classic ones like Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. The best thing is that they are so reasonably priced compared to others in the area. The staff has always been friendly and are very knowledgeable about wine. This last time we came we enjoyed a cheese and charcuterie board. Ive also experienced other wine and food pairings theyve hosted and really enjoyed them. The decor is awesome and its a really comfortable place to hang out, chat with friends, and enjoy really good wines.

Really an amazing experience! The cellar tasting was incredibly personal. The food was made to pair with the food. The host was great and very knowledgeable. Would definitely return and price points made it an easy buy.

Fantastic tour. They take you and ur clan up the hills in 4 wheel carts to a small picturesque area for some tastings then back down and into the caves with hundreds of barrels and a beautiful tasting table with cheese, crackers, nuts and their wonderful wines!!!! Not sure what happened in the past couple of weeks with the fires. Hopefully all is ok here.... worth the visit up the hill in Sonoma. Great time!!!

We werent there for more than 10 minutes for our private tasting and they kicked us out and told us to come back tomorrow when we were more refreshed because they felt we were too drunk. I wouldnt say we were at a point where we needed to be rudly kicked out. We were just having a fun time celebrating a birthday with friends. Dont recommend this stuffy boring place to anyone.

Pangloss has some of the finest red wines in Sonoma. I signed up for the Optimist wine club and their service is excellent. I have not opened a bottle of red that wasnt amazing. Now that Im a member I can gift wines to my friends that are unlike anything I can get my hands on here in the Midwest. I highly recommend! Special thanks to Jessica!

*Updated Review* Gave Pangloss a second try and had the BEST experience during our whole trip. Fantastic customer service and even better wine! We ended up joining the wine club due to the exceptional value of their wines. Of 8 wineries/tasting rooms visited this one takes the cake. Cannot be missed on your trip to Sonoma/Napa. Thank you to our taster Ivan and Samantha!

Visited Pangloss recently. Was not impressed. I had been there a few years ago and was very impressed. This time, not so much. The facility is attractive. It is right on the Sonoma square. There is a lot of seating at the bar and on couches in the front of the room. The tasting fees are $25. And they dont rebate the fee if you buy a bottle or bottles or spend over a certain dollar amount on bottles. The associate actually said they rebate the fee if you join the club. Yup, thats what he said. All wineries do that. I guess if you want to get technical about it. there is no fee to waive if you are a member. The last time I was there, the associate we had was excellent but that was on a weekend. This was a weekday. All of the associates seemed to be busy doing other things. When pouring a taste, they would give you basic information about the wine and go away. But were all here for the wine and the wine was not great. None were bad. I realize that everyone has different tastes. In my opinion, they were good but overpriced for how they tasted. I had a taste from one bottle that I would have bought but I thought it was a little high priced for what I was tasting. And, as I said, they dont waive the tasting fee. The pinots were decent but Ive had better at wineries mentioned below. There are better wineries in the area. A few examples; Nicholson Ranch, Buena Vista and Ravenswood have excellent wines around the same price range. They are not on the Sonoma Square although within the vacinity. Walt, just off the square, has fantastic pinots for about $75.Three stars might be a little harsh. Id give them 3.5 if I could.

On a rare rainy (for Sonoma) Friday afternoon, my wife and I enjoyed an excellent wine and food pairing experience in the newly opened Texture tasting room at Pangloss Cellars. Our wine guide was Neil, who was able to successfully navigate tasting of a Texture Chardonnay and three different Pinot Noir wines (one Pangloss and two Texture) past yours truly - a skeptical California Pinot Noir wine taster (too many bad Pinot Noir tastings in my background). But not this time - the Pangloss and especially the two Texture Pinots were amongst the best California Pinots that I have tasted. Paired with the wines were some nice Sonoma County cheeses along with Greek olives, tapenade spread, and a variety of rabbit and duck pates, expertly prepared by Pangloss chef Peter (hope I got the name right). Well done Pangloss!
