This park has a variety of play structures..some of which are pretty new and some are old. My kids loved exploring all of them. The lawn hadnt been mowed in quite a while and there was no one else there so its hard to judge the usual atmosphere of the park based on our one visit. The slides on the new structure were huge and fast so I wouldnt recommend those for toddlers.

Always full of kids! Which is a huge plus for my kids. I always see lots of family birthday parties taking place here.

Bathrooms, covered pavilion with grills, multiple cement picnic tables, 2 bridges over creeks, old growth trees, swings, baby swings, multiple slides, & water spicket.

Love this park and walking trails. So grateful that its close to the city but away from the hustle and bustle. Extensive walking trails and awesome places for the kiddos to play.

Awesome park with humongous walking trail, playgrounds for kids, a small Creek and plenty of mother nature for everyone to enjoy. So grateful for this beautiful park!

My kids LOVE this park! Thy actually prefer it over Kids Space Park. The atmosphere is very peaceful and the equipment keeps them entertained for the most part. My only complaint would be they need to mow a little bit to cut the grass down. Overall it’s our new favorite park in Shawnee. We sometimes bring or fur baby here also and he even enjoys lounging in the sun while the kids play.

This park is great. It has a large playground with a good variety of play equipment. Its never been overcrowded and always well maintained. We frequently take or child here.

Dean Weigant (Slide Park) is one of my daughters favorite places in town. They still have some equipment I played on when I was a kid, but the slide tower is still the main attraction. Multiple levels and many slides. Kids will love it. Plenty of benches and a picnic area for outdoor parties.

The park was super fun. Definately not for babies for the most part but my 21/2 year old loved it and so did my 5 and 7 year old. Grass was a little tall but still great fun.

This place is funnnn, definitely go in with your kids tho

My kids and I have a lot of fun here. The big slides are very steep however, even for grown ups.

I bring my 3 dogs to this park. Its not fenced (I realize its not a dog park, so be curteous to the families that are there). Its large and with well behaved dogs its not a problem. Always pick up after your dog or youll ruin it for the rest of us!! :) its a nice park and has access to a walking/biking path. Has plenty of trash cans, and a covered area with picnic tables. Great playground for the kids too!!

I love this park. It is named after my scout master of troop 414, it has the nickname of slide park from the big slide in it. Great for kids.

Good assortment of play equipment

I really like this park because it has a water spigot and bathroom as well as the newest playground equipment. The gazebo needs to be updated though and parking is pretty much nonexistent. If you are into fitness then I suggest you park on the East side of the Airport Track and Run, Bike or Jog with your kids to the park.

One of my favorite Shawnee parks and has been since I was a kid! My kids love it! I wish it had better bathrooms or it would be the best place to have birthday parties and water fights.

Good park to take the kids & nice bike/walking trail, only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because there are big ditches surrounding it and my youngest (20months) constantly tries to run to them.

We love this park, I just wish it was fenced in, I always feel like I have to stay right by my kids because of the proximity to the rather busy road.

Its ok but traffic sucks there most people speed by it run the stop signs live across from it and see people run the stop sign all the time

The kids had a blast and for ones who play Pokemon go it has a gym

This park is close to my house and has an insanely tall slide the kids love. The seating isnt great, but it is not a bad park.
