The store is huge, overwhelming. If there was a a knife you needed, I’m sure they had it. Prices are comparable to online stores of the same type of knives, no savings really. Staff assisted me with knowledge of the knives and helped my choose what I needed and explained guarantees. I am happy with the purchase as it was a gift for my son. Guns, ammo and so much more. They seemed to have whatever you may need, prices were not any cheaper than anywhere else. Some higher. The basement area has kitchen gadgets and anything you may need for your kitchen. Again, prices were not any cheaper than other places. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the many items available. I liked the old water wheel mill in the center of the store. Over all decent visit. We made a few purchases. Many stuffed critters like you would see at other sporting goods stores. Looked nice.

Definitely visit the Relic Room- theres a ton of historical artifacts from every era and cool rocks!

Lousy customer service.! Placed an order, credit card charged and then they cancel the order days later. No explanation. 4 days after cancellation and still no refund. So if you want to tie up some funds for 10 days or more and not receive your order, this is your business. Phone call to customer services was of no help. ** Follow up - I emailed as requested in response to my review and 5 days later, no response. Stay away from this company. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to get a my money refunded since they cancelled my order. Very poor customer service

Be prepared to step into another world, a world where there’s not a virus that has taken your friends and family. I’ve been to this store before and looked forward to going back but they are doing nothing to prevent Covid from spreading, it was completely overwhelming the amount of people jammed inside. I couldn’t even bare ten minutes inside.I may try again when tourist have gone home. Added stars for the coffee truck outside that was my only plus

I would usually give SMKW 4 or 5 stars, but not today. I came here today with a heavty budget for Christmas shopping. Upon walking in the store I had seen about 50% of customers with NO facemasks! I asked if it was mandatory..the reply was..yes, but we dont enforce it. I felt uncomfortable, so I took my money and left. I bet that the majority of non-mask wearers were NOT locals. If you go away from the tourist area....us locals are wearing masks.

A lot of thing to see, specially for knife and gun lover. I came on Saturday and it was so busy event in covid time, so be careful and keep the distance.

This is one of my families favorite stops when we visit the smokies. There are a ton of things to look at and just about something for everyone. Unfortunately we had our first semi-bad experience when we visited yesterday. We were looking for a particular gun holster, and when we asked the lady behind the gun counter where it may be located, she was just rude! She was a smart butt to the man that asked a question after us too. I know it was a super busy day and its easy to get overwhelmed; She had probably been asked a hundred questions, but no need for the attitude. We were spending money there but even if we werent she still needs to learn how to talk to people. We made a purchase anyway and we will always come back to visit but maybe she needs some customer service training. All of the other staff was very nice and eager to help us make our purchases.**I also wanted to add that when I got home I found the item she said you all didnt carry on your website.

I havent been to the store but, that is one of my dreams. I dont get around too well by myself now but, one day someone is going to take me there!! I have though ordered many, many knives over the years and I have NEVER had a problem! When I order on line it only takes about 2 days and UPS is sitting my order at my door so, until I can make the trip to this place I will continue to order on line!! Thank you SMKW

SMKW is and always will be my favorite place to stop when in Eastern Tennessee. I can generally find what Im looking for, when it comes to sharp pointy things.I am more than a bit disappointed by a recent visit, to the store. I dont know if its due to the covid virus, but I found prices ( of items that I purchased) over 50% ABOVE the catalog price and that sale prices, which may only be online prices, not applied.Ill still stop by the store, when I can, but Ill more closely check for price differences.

This place is awesome! The selection is incredible here. You can find just about any type of knife you want, and the knife dealers are very knowledgeable about the product. The knives themselves are all very high-quality and the prices were very reasonable. The layout was pretty straightforward, but it was easy to get lost. If youre looking for guns or ammo or other things of that nature, dont be deterred by the knife in the name - theyve got that other stuff too! The cashiers were quick but respectful. 10/10 would go back.There were also benches there while you wait for others in your party to finish shopping :)

This is a must come to if your in the area. This store is so huge. We didnt even have enough time to go through the whole store because we still had a 4hr drive home and just happen to drive by this place. We will definitely come back when in the area. We did end up getting some things while here. Probably more had we gone through the whole store. My kids loved it here.

This is the holy grail of knife stores. They have the absolute best selection on any brand you would want. They have it all from high end to gas station knives. Set aside at least a couple hours because you will need it. There is soooooooo much to look at.

Called multiple times about an online order that has been placed. I even sent an email. Nobody answers the phone, and nobody sends an email back. I just want to know if my axe is ever going to be shipped or not. Not impressed at all, and Ive always loved SMKW.

Great place to find any kind of knife imaginable. Guns were awesome too. Very busy and crowded!Its also a great place to get COVID-19 if you so desire. Only about 45 percent of the people in there wore protective masks.The rest could give a s...t about their fellow man. Way to go SMKW! Your neck and neck with Bass Pro Shop in the lack of mask enforcement.

One of the best stores Ive ever been too...if not the best! This place is fascinating, huge and so many things to see. A typical person can easily spend 2-3hrs. Not only do they have knives, but the have an abundance of things such as fossils, meteor fragments, rocks and gems and so so much more!

Huge store, has lots to look at, prices are not bad. I wanted to buy a handgun though but the guy said it was tricky with me being from another state. Usually I can just buy from another state and have it transferred to a FFL dealer in my state. They had good prices on guns though.

We visited the store two weeks ago and found the customer service to be poor at best but attributed it to their being so many customers and the store being so large. We got a catalog on the way out and identified specifically what we wanted to look at/get next time. We tried to order 3 items online and pick them up in the store - not an option. We understood and went to the store to try to find the items. Not as many customers but lots of sales associates. So we thought it would be a better experience. We carried the catalog in and shared the marked items with a sales person for assistance. Two different associates told us the general area to look to find the specific items but couldn’t take us to the items. One different sales associate attempted to help us make sure that the items were in stock and two of the three were. But she also couldn’t take us to find the items. We will not be back nor will we purchase online. The air conditioning was cool but social distancing was impossible.

SMKW is always a fun time. If there’s a knife or a kitchen gadget you’re looking for or maybe even a firearm, they’ve probably got it. Tons of souvenirs too. If you like those kinds of things you can spend hours there! Cell reception is not good so stay with your group or make a plan to meet up.

I love the historical displays scattered throughout the store from prehistoric to WWI. We did buy a few things while there, not much because its a bit pricey. They had items for every interest. Fossils, knives, guns, gear, hiking, survivalists, old coins, letters, gems and minerals, etc. Its worth checking out.

I ordered a knife on line figured it would take 5 to 7 business days to get it. Got it in 3 days. Thank you for getting it here so fast!

When I walked in this place I had thought Id died and gone to heaven. There were knifes everywhere. Definitely a must go if you love knifes like I do.

This wasnt worth the 2 hour drive. We went in there expecting to buy a few knives for our collection and walked out with some candy. There were too many people in there (no social distancing and most were not wearing masks), nothing was priced and only minimal staff behind the counters to ask questions. The staff in the relics area was helpful though. We might give it a second chance but only if were in Sevierville to see other things too.

I bought some ammo from there about 3 weeks ago. I was loading my clips today and one of the boxes I bought only had half the rounds in it. I definitely got ripped off and nothing I can do about it.

The store is huge and amazing. Didnt have time to look through the while store. The store was really busy and the staff were trying hard to keep the wait times to minimum. Had to wait a little bit to get help but didnt mind the wait. The staff was very nice and apologetic about the wait. They were very helpful in helping me get a great set of kitchen knives. Will definitely go back when I have more time to check out the whole storeUpdate. Finally got to come back. Spent another 3 hours looking around at everything. The place is massive and have many neat and interesting items. Worth the trip to come back

My whole family loves coming to this store every time we are in the Smokies. It has become somewhat of a family tradition to stop here. Great selection on knives and guns. Sunday’s are always crowded but the people working here are still very friendly and helpful. Great place!!!

Drove almost 6 hours to take my husband, an avid knife collector, here for his birthday. He was like a fat kid in a candy store! We spent 4 hours looking at everything and Im still not sure we saw all there was to see. Most of the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, but I could have done without overhearing a group of them talking badly about management and how the store was run. They should be more aware of what theyre saying in front of customers and how it reflects poorly on the business. That said, it wont keep us away and I see this as being a yearly trip to visit the store and the area in general.

Lots of super cool stuff here, also a lot of junk. Either way it’s interesting and there’s something here for almost anyone. However it’s usually really crowded and they have no real COVID precautions, besides hand sanitizer sitting out on some counters. The real blessing here is the Relic Room. So many pretty stones and cool artifacts. Just pay attention to what’s a replica and what’s the real deal.

Dang what a selection of knives, guns, survival gear...kitchen ware, name it. They have about every kind of knife you can imagine, they have cheap Chinese junk and really high grade stuff.They also have historic displays thru the store ( WWII ) that I enjoyed. BIG place and I could take all day and melt a credit card in this place!

Been going to this place since I was a kid. One time, I spent 6hrs in here just looking at all of the stuff hanging on the walls and in the displays. This place is 60% store, 40% museum of an unbelievable selection of treasures, animals and cultures from around the World and across time. Just an absolutely amazing place for people from all walks of life and all ages. The best free museum Ive ever been too, and in the basement, you can actually buy pieces of antiquity! No joke! Ancient coins, arrowheads, dinosaur fossils...No joke!! I wish I lived closer, Id probably take a pay cut to work there.

Came in on Saturday and bought some knives seen that they had in their gun racks the 125th anniversary savage 110. After looking at the gun it was scratched up. This is supposed to be a collectors type gun. but the guy said they had another one in back still in box. I told him I would think on it. My first thought ended up being correct. Why would you have a REALLY nice gun such as this sitting in and so close to other guns.amd also why would you try to sell this gun knowing it was messed up . Are you hoping Noone will look closely at it? Yes you were. I decided to go in on Sunday and purchase the gun they had in stockroom. Filled out paperwork while the guy went to retrieve it. He had ask if I wanted to buy it and I said yes I do, but I want to inspect it first.after a few mins. He returned with the box . After getting it out of the box which was opened already. This gun too was damaged. Upon seeing this the guy said let me get the manager and let him talk to you about reducing the price, of which I figured I could prob. Take it and let my gunsmith fix it if he would take less . He came back with word that the manager would take off $40.00 and thats it. Forty dollars off a 1,200.00 gun that was supposed to be a collectors gun. Last time and last dollar spent at smoky mtn. Knife junk.

Huge place with two stories. Just about every type of edged knife/tool you can think of. 100s of firearms. I found 9mm and .223 ammo during this ammo shortage. Bottom floor has cooking and housewares. Cast iron, kitchen knives, etc.

Definitely the biggest and coolest Nike store I have ever been to there is plenty of Staff they are all very friendly and will show you anything you want to see their knowledge of knives is incredible. They even had my favorite Cold Steel pocket machete.I cannot emphasize how nice this stories and how nice all of the staff members are. I did learn that 4 years ago Tennessee abolished all knife laws so you can have any knife you want to have I think Tennessee is great if you are a law-abiding citizen.

Ive ordered 4 knives from SMKW and Ive always been pleased with their fast shipping, but I recently ordered my 5th knife and was just blown away. I placed my order and the following day it was shipped at 5:12 am I received it 2pm the same day and didnt pay for the faster shipping, maybe it was because it was a $425 Hinderer and Im only 2 states away but it felt like they had someone pick it up from the store and drive it straight to my house very impressed and I will be making the drive to come and see the actual store

I visited the store and bought a USMC Cheeta for my son who is a second generation Marine. The staff was great. Alex helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I returned and bought myself one also.

Ordered some ammo 5 days ago. It hasn’t shipped yet. Found exact same at the store. Call and ask if I can cancel the order since it hasn’t shipped. Lady says the order has went to the warehouse and she can’t cancel it. I can understand if it has shipped but all they did was take the money

My family & i visited 6/30/2020 about 11am. Wonderful selection & staff was quite helpful. Ran into an issue at a pistol section. STAFF NEED MORE TRAINING HERE: The clerk pulled a pistol of my husbands asking out of the case, pointed it around at myself, my family & everyone in the vicinity behind us. I admit i was more than excited when i said: point that to the floor, please!She stopped, now cleared the pistol, then said: its empty.

Very big nice....but I asked 6 associates for assistance on red dot scopes...including a asst manager while she was talking to the manager...told them I had already talked to 6 associate employees...thay all said they were short on help..the two managers said the same they would help but didnt have knowledge of the scope area..So I said if you dont want my money....I will just take my business else where... most terrible customer service Ive ever seen...rude all 8 I spoke to!

This is a fun store to wander around in. Most items are really expensive BUT there is a ton of stuff on sale so there is something for everyone. This place is so much more than knives! Its enormous first floor is filled with a million other things - kitchen supplies, gourmet jams and sauces, childrens toys and even a stage with huge animatronic animals who play and sing! Well worth the visit...

WOW!! Be prepared to spend more then 2 hours here even if you arent a knife person. Upstairs, downstairs and in between they have so much going on.Also, if you have a person that doesnt like this thing then they can go next store to visit the outlets.

Im rating this 4 stars because everybody says its a amazing I havent been there but Im gonna be going in a day or 2. I also have a question do you have butterfly knifes and trainer butterfly knifes.

I placed an order for 1,000 rounds of cci 22 short ammo, and the next day the ammo was at my door. I am very shocked because it seems about 90% of ammo sites have a huge shipping delay right now. The price of the ammo also couldnt be beat any where I could find online. Shipping cost was a decent price as well. Ammo was packaged well. Very impressed with the service and I will be making future purchases from here again very soon.

Awesome selection of American made knives. This review is about the employees not the merchandise. The two men who worked at the kershaw knife counter were very rude and gave me an attitude when I asked a simple question. I left that counter to go to the buck counter instead. On my way over I overheard another customer complain about the same employee to the manager so I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Jared who works at the artisan knife counter was very kind and helpful listened to me and answered my questions. Also Paul who works at the buck knife counter was nice and helpful too. I think name tags should be required.

While I didnt buy anything, I sure wanted to! I had never been here before but was very impressed by the selection of knives on display. The gun display was pretty neat too but I would never complain about having even more guns. Overall, among the best gun/knife shops Ive been too and Ive seen a lot. Great job!

We were very disappointed when we visited last week. They stopped selling all our favorite things. All they sell now is basically knives. They used to sell leather jackets and chaps, jewelry, kids toys and lots of novelty items. We were disapointed. Also they closed at 6 pm instead of 9. I doubt that we will be back.

This place is so big and has so many things to look at. It would take hours if not days to look at everything. Animal mounts, historic displays, cases overflowing with history. Absolutely a must see.

The store is huge and has a weird layout for displaying knives. Overall its knife store with almost any knife in the world. Its really overwhelming, you need to know what you are looking for before you go in. I did buy a benchmade knife, but had already done some research. I would say prices are retail or same as anywhere else.

If this place don’t have the knife you are looking for it’s not made. They also have good prices compared to other stores

This place is unbelievable if you are an outdoors man. Anything you could think of, theyve pretty much got it or could probably get it. Unfortunately, I didnt have a lot of time to look around (and you could do that for hours). My complaints would be restrooms are hard to find and navigating through the store is very confusing and there is so much stuff there that maneuvering through places was very tight. It is however a place you have to visit if you are in the area.

The collection of animals on the walls is one of the best I have seen anywhere...also the old machinery and tools on display is very interesting... machines from over a hundred years..... Thanks

One of the coolest places to stop. We went twice on this trip. It’s cool to walk around and look st everything plus it’s fun for the kids. They have toys and so many knives. Souvenirs galore.the waterfalls and things are so cool to see.

HUGE store, with a wide variety of products! They have everything. Custom knives, plenty of ammo and guns. There are certain sections for each product. Reasonable prices for speciality ammo. I found some 6.5 Grendel ammo for $22. I will return when I have more time, I am sure I missed things in the store.

Not only the biggest and coolest knife store I’ve ever been to, but one of the biggest and coolest stores I’ve ever been to. You can find just about every type of knife in the world here as well as a ton of other things including guns and ammo, food and kitchen supplies, clothing, souvenirs, historic artifacts and even dinosaur fossils.

I had an inquiry about two orders I placed and got a response quickly. Customer service was very helpful and was told my orders were processed and shipped already. They provided the tracking numbers. And i am very pleased on the whole order. I would definitely continue being their customer.

I love this place! It is the only place you can examine and hold all the knives your read about or see in catalogs. I pass that way once a year and ALWAYS stop and downs at LEAST $100. This time was no different.

My husband absolutely could spend days in this store. He picked up a few things he had been unable to find back home in Arkansas.

DO NOT BUY!! I ordered a council tool 5 pound Dayton axe and received a 3.5 pound model instead. The axe was sent back to get the correct model. It took over a week before I finally called and received the news that they don’t have the axe; even though it was IN STOCK on their website. Overall highly disappointed with the company with their poor customer service on trying to get the right axe and not having correct items in their warehouse. While I really wanted to like Smoky Mountain Knife Works, I will be doing business elsewhere. I highly recommend others do the same as me to avoid any headaches with the company if an issue like this happens to you.
