Amazing views! We took the Eastern route in instead of the western path. A stock Subaru Outback can tackle the path no problem. Even saw an Ascent there. All wheel drive is a must, but a lifted 4x4 truck isnt needed. Be careful and go slow on the rocky parts!

Excellent off-road experience. You will need a 4x4 for sure. Its 11 miles from sedona to highway 17. The first 6miles is bumpy, rocky and require a lot of attention (low speed, choosing the right path,...). The last 5miles to highway 17 is easier. I recommend sunset at the scenery spot.

Entire roadway a must do for those interested in outdoor activities. Perfect length for vehicle use. Youll need a vehicle designed for off road use. Youre Nissan Rogue may not do well.

Amazing view from this overlook. The road from I-17 is a little rough, but beautiful. There are some dispersed camping spots on the way in. Please be mindful of fire weather conditions and leave no trace. Thank you.

Gorgeous, priceless views! You might need a 4x4 with thick tires to access some of the places on the dirt roads. I made it in a stock Subaru Crosstrek but I had to creep down some parts since there were large rocks in the dirt road. Overall, amazing trip!

I hope you are ready to do some serious off roading. Get your 4x4 and hit this trail. An absolute gem. Yes this is one of many trails you can hit in Sedona. It is long and about medium difficulty, but even an amateur like myself can get through it. I took my #TundraTRDPro and it took it like a champ. Mind you my Tundra is stock. No modifications whatsoever. Once you get near the top the view is incredible. A Rock at the top which is very easy to reach by foot provides stunning... and I mean STUNNING view of the whole valley. Intimidating yet serene, it is a place one must see. Obviously the ascend took longer than the descent. And not the road is not narrow, providing plenty of room for two way traffic. At any point you can make a stop, get off and enjoy nature. Not heavily trafficked by vehicles either which is perfect. And best of all... it is FREE! Scenic drive but do not try this road in a low clearance vehicle. We had to rescue people who broke their vehicle and were stranded along the road. Also, if its been raining, I wouldnt go without 4x4.

This is a great view of the Canyon and the North side of Sedona. There are 2 ways to access it, Schenley Hill Road which requires a 4x4 and clearance or some very careful driving. The other is a trail accessed from Grasshopper Point called Casner Canyon Trail via Allens Bend. There is a knee deep water crossing and then it is a difficult trail with high elevation gain. At some points it will not be maintained and you will be forced through follow the trail through brush.I would recommend driving and if you dont have the vehicle Pink Jeep has a tour that goes that way.

Absolutely awe inspiring and truly unique experience. Be warned however, the last 20% of this trail ( going from flag to Sedona route) is BRUTAL. Extremely rocky, high clearance required. This not something that you can take most vehicles on without risk of damage.

Definitely a bumpy/rocky road. SUVs and trucks only a sign at the beginning recommends. Plenty of camping spots in the forest on the I-17 side of Schnebly Hill road. Once you hit the vista though, camping and fires are prohibited beyond it. Couple camping spots just before the sign, as is seen in my photos. Quite windy up at the top. But the view is superb

If you come from Sedona, the road is very rough. Definitely don’t try it with anything less than a truck, Jeep, Subaru, or something similar. Coming from the opposite way, as in from the highway, it’s not that bad.The view(s) are stunning, of course, and there’s free camping just past the view point.

There are a lot of rocks in the road and you might damahe your car if youre not very careful. Dont go faster than 5mph

This view is awesome. Great air and nice sign. It was very to get here but if you have a Polaris or something like that it’s really easy. If you don’t have something like that you buy one. If you don’t have the money just book a jeep tour. You probably will end up with old ladies as I did but they were really nice and friendly. One of the ladies wanted me to come to their home but I just ignored that lol. Don’t book these pink Jeep tours. These are the most expensive ones I ever saw. Keep that in your mind and the money stays with you kind. :)

This is a must do if you like to go four wheelin’ and in Sedona its a must!! the original wagon road shortcut from sedona to flagstaff. the road is def not for passenger cars! the jeep tours bring tourists up here and leave their personal vehicles in Sedona for a reason. if you dont mind a lil adrenaline rush with amazing views, then this drive is for you. i highly recommend driving from the top to the bottom into sedona

The road up to here from Sedona, while not technically difficult, requires a high clearance vehicle. I have a jeep with a lift and oversize tires and had no issues.
