One of the many natural wonders along the Soldier Pass trail. It looks like a giant sinkhole that comes with a legend on the information board that you can read about! Highly recommend checking it out as it is in the area and very close to the Sacred Pools!

Came across this when I was mountain biking. Pretty cool sight! We later hiked from the nearby trailhead so the rest of the family could see it

It is an awe inspiring thing to look at and consider that it could happen anyplace. Also cool to see the size of the chunks that have fallen on or are ready to.

Easy 4-5 minute hike from the Soldiers Pass Trailhead Parking Lot. Expect the parking lot to fill up in less than an hour. Get there early and GET A PARKING PASS AHEAD OF TIME!

Soldiers Pass is a great trail! Make sure you hit the caves along the way...the Seven Sacred Pools were a little underwhelming at this time, but interesting none the less. Take water since its starting to get hot.

I was very happy with the Soldiers Pass and Brins Mesa trails in Sedona. They were moderate difficulty, as advertised online. We had 2 people and a dog, and all managed well. The ~5 mile hike took about 4 hours, mostly due to stops for photos and just enjoying the scenery. It was slightly overcast in December, but it a nice day for hiking. Devils Kitchen and the other landmarks add nice focal points along the trail. Highly recommend!

Hiking was fun. Parking not so much. Red Rock Pass parking opens at 8am. Most people like to go at sunrise.

Beautiful scene no matter where hiking in Sedona, AZ. Must be careful around as rumble is still loose. Truly amazing to see.

Interesting natural feature where an ancient cave collapsed underground creating A sinkhole. Rubber from constant Jeep tours upon the rocks is a bit of a let down of natures beauty, but a choice of directions makes for adventurous hiking.
