Nice neighborhood park. Hats off to the senior resident under the black tarp for managing to maintain the area where shes contained over a long period of time. Same to the tent residents with no conflicts and helping the park remain peaceful
Nice small playground to bring the kids. Not dog friendly. I have seen enforcement officers writing tickets to owners of off-leash dogs here. Be careful if you let your pooch of his leash.
Nice field and play structures. Number of homeless encampments in the park so need to be careful/mindful if taking your dog there in the evening
Nice place, but quite a few homeless people and tents
Lots of camps around the play area
Great spot to meet up and plan in the district. Not very crowded, better than I expected ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
Wear some gloves and you got a pull-up bar during corona.
It is a very beautiful playground and youd find many people playing frisbees, baseball, volleyball, etc. Many people also get their dogs to the playground. It is good for running too.
It has two tennis courts, a baseball field, and a playground. Theres a few homeless people with permanent campsites. Some police came and talked to three people using drugs by the playground near my 2yo. Then the police left while obscenities were shouted at them. Lovely time with the kiddo. Non-enforcement of under 3g of heroin is the city policy, I hear. SUPER. Thanks socialist city government!
It has nice features - good playground for kids, tennis courts and a large grassy area but it also has a pretty steady homeless population and can feel a bit unsafe at night. Also not a lot of parking available nearby
This is one of the better maintained parks in Seattle. We live close by and love to walk and run in this park and play with our dog.
Nice clean park. Tennis court and small kids play area. No restrooms that are open but the library is across the street.
Great bodyweight workout area. Get to know your neighborhood!
So lovely and peaceful in the early morning. If you are ever up that way on 54th before the day starts its trill to sit and think about what you want to do with the lovely day God provides for us!
Good park, nice swings, big play structure, good exercise equipment with instructions. Kind of sketchy after dark.
Fun open area to go play with your dog, or kids. Make sure you are aware as there’s often people sleeping in the park
Rating as a parent with small kids: very rarely are other kids here. Playground is decent. Often junkies or bums will sitting nearby, drinking, drugged out, or whacked out. They leave their trash where they sit, even though a trash can is 10ft away. Occasionally will leave when some dangerously twitching, groaning, pacing creep shows up. Watched a guy try to put his sock on his head for 10 minutes once, while babbling incoherently. Part and parcel you rubes...
Lovely place to take the family.
This is a neighborhood park. If you live in the area, you hang out here.
Love this community. Very well put together city and people. This business aims to always give superior customer service.
The playground is okay. The thing that makes the park not-so-great is the homeless village right near the playground. Its tough because I want my children to be aware of homelessness and how all different people live, but I also wasnt expecting that lesson to be part of going to the playground. If you, like us, are visiting from out of town, just be aware.
Good little park with a lot of open space and grass. Only bad thing is that its next to 50th st, which is pretty busy.
Nice small park but I would watch children carefully. Have seen some questionable activity. It has a nice little play area, tennis courts, small baseball field and a nice center grass area close to a block in size. A walkway around the park and bordered by trees.
Nice for the area to take a break and have a picnic.
Well maintained and clean. Nice place to enjoy the weather, laying down on the ground, to play with your kids or dog, to play Frisbee or catch. I also love the messages from sponsors on the stone entrance. Than you for making this park!
Nice small park to bring your kid
Great park
Too many homeless people wouldnt suggest a visit during night time
University Playground is a very large park in University District that has plenty of space to have events, run with your dog, or simply relax on a sunny day. My only issue with this park is the large homelessness problem. Around the perimeter of the park are plenty of homeless with drug abuse being common amongst them. Many times I have come to the park and I dont let my dog near specific areas at risk of stepping on a needle or consuming an unknown substance
The swing area is enclosed for safety. And very large. Drawback, the toilet facilities are closed most of the time.
Fun, clean, but only a portable potty.
Dirty park with bad tennis courts, and no parking past 6.
Love their adult workout installment.
Lots of homeless people, would not be happy bringing kids here. Round track good for practising longboarding due to rough and smooth terrain
Kind of boring park, very small size but it is always clean.
No formal parking structure. The street parking is difficult to find since its in the university neighborhood and the parking I did find, the sidewalk smelled really bad. It looked a little sketchy. There was a mattress next to one of the benches and a homeless guy hanging out. It has a cool art structure of a troll or something pushing a house sideways, which was pretty cool. It also has a workout area, swings and some picnic benches. It also has a baseball field.
Had a peaceful time
Its a good place to practice my tennis serve.
Too often there are too many homeless people, as much as I hate to say it. Doesnt really ruin the experience, but can cause some discomfort
Small park with a honey bucket and bathrooms open during the summer. It features a kids play area, a baseball diamond, tennis court, and picnic tables/benches.
Great park had a nice work out
Nice equipment, but sketchy with homeless people and druggies. Sometimes the plaground is also overtaken by people who could go somewhere else to entertain themselves (e.g. high school kids, young adults).
Typical bums, trash and local leftist government looking the other way. Potentially nice park ruined by a lack of accountability.
This playground has been taken over by homeless people. I took my grandchildren to the park and you had to look out for needles and put up with fighting and cursing homeless people.
Fun at nite
Needs to be maintained more
It was peaceful
My kids love this place
Great place
Its the closest playground that we can walk to but we dont want to take our toddler there because of the adults who shouldnt be around kids. Instead, we have to take a bus to go somewhere else.
Overrun and just ok
Great place
Nice location
My kids love it
Nice grasss
Fun equipment, nice new exercise equipment with solid explanations and qr codes for videos, and a varying assortment of vagrants and drug addicts.
Fun
So fun!
Every where trash and toilet was too dirty......
Fun for the whole family
Clean
Great place to relax
Busy with walkers
Accessible to so many.
Nice place
Great swings.
Field hazardous due to holes and uneveness
I am gay men only
Playground, baseball field, grass field.
Good playground not only for teenagers albeit kids too.
