Nice view of downtown weird area though when it comes to remembering how to get there. It not exactly where you think it is. I was stoned that day so maybe that why. Hmmm I definitely go back once it warms up again.
A popular place for nighttime photography overlooking both domes, and the cityscape of Seattle. Five stars for picture opportunities. Bring mosquito repellent! Bring a friend, lock your vehicle. Park showing signs of maintenance neglect. Limited parking. 2 hour parking limit. Park closes at 10pm. facilities include covered picnic tables, park grills, drinking fountain, park benches for viewing. Also a popular hangout for troubled youth. Caution for homeless people, and pan handlers. Stay safe.
The skyline is amazing, but there are so many trees blocking the view and the place is full of graffiti and the smell of cigarettes. Nice place to stop for a quick photo though.
Currently and have been for like the last 3months been living here in a tent with a close friend as a neighbor and its a super nice quiet place, (meant to be a dog park) nice grass areas to walk your dogs out here.... Also bathrooms (daytime only)and parking available at the top of the hill you can overnight park here to sleep in Your car if needed too.
I visited the park expecting to take stunning sky line photos as per tourist guides recommendations. However it was much more overgrown than expected and views didnt match some others I had seen as there was too much vegetation in places. You could find some hidden view points though, and it is a lovely spot of wilderness amongst the city.
One of the best viewpoints of downtown Seattle and lesser known than all the touristy spots. You can get great pictures from here and its also ideal to watch the sunset. Free parking is close by but there are also a lot of homeless people in the area.
Went to the dog area today 7/21/20. This is one of the worst dog parks Ive seen. There was a large section of chain link down between it and a paved road near the stairs. Most of the park was covered thick dead weed cuttings that looked like they hadnt been picked up after park maintenance. Aside from the stairs, the park is tiny. I could be off, but it felt like the whole thing was the size of my apartment.Very disappointed. Wont be back.
This is a great park if you want a view of Seattle. The park havent been kept up since covid but still a good place
Great views but kinda sketchy at night
Great sunset point from beacon hill looking into city skyline.
Amazing views throughout the day of the city. But sometimes the homeless community wonders the area.
Hey, theres a view here! Nice spot to stop in and enjoy the expanisve view for a few minutes. Seemed like some shady folks were hanging around, didnt feel as safe as I would have hoped. Would not have stopped and hung out if I were alone.
It’s one of the spot in seattle through which you can get a nice fancy view of the city!I went here during snow apocalypse in seattle so it got covered with fresh snow and was freaking cold.People come here with their dogs to chill and photographers come here to shoot from hole in the fence ;)
Getaway to see the city view.Sit and drink a brewski
Such a great view of the city!
Horrible park, and i live next to it! Homeless camp out inside the fenced area and they destroyed the other gate that we depend on to keep the dogs inside the fence area. I would never go after dark. I have complained to the parks department about how unsafe the park feels. They wrote back, and pointed out they put in a new bench and gravel. I guess they think thats good enough
Get place to get nice photographs of the Seattle skyline. A must see if into photography.
The views are amazing! Other than that.... a horrible dog park. The worst Ive ever been to. Syringes and litter everywhere! A lot of the ground is covered in thorn bushes, so my pup got thorns in her paws just exploring. Will not return.
Once a park that wasnt overcrowded
This park has a wonderful view of the citys skyline, but its small and narrow. Pay special attention to the traffic. Many cars & trucks zoom by as if the drivers are frustrated with their lives. Theres limited parking but once you find one its better to take a short walk on the 1/4-mi. bridge for an unobstructed view of beautiful Seattle.
Good view but basically a parking lot for medical center across street.
Beautiful view of the city. The bridge is a great place for photo opportunities.
Simply an iconic view of the downtown Seattle skyline.
Its a shame because I want to give this park 5 stars for the incredible viewing angle of the highway going into downtown. Otherwise the park itself has a very unsafe vibe and many loitering homeless. Dont plan on staying long other than to get a few quick pictures. Wouldnt want to go at night.
A beautiful view of Seattle. Parking available and a park to enjoy.
Nice view overlooking seattle
I love it. Beautiful even with the tents. They should try and work with the homeless I bet they would get slot of free help
Great spot for Sunset photography during the colder winter months when the sun is closer to the city skyline still beautiful during the march months
Best views around. For the hole in the fence shot, just go down the dog walking trail a few yards.
Nope. I keep trying to visit without being afraid for my safety. A wonderful view and it should be 5 stars. I was truly scared more than once as a lone woman. Even if I had 5 dogs with me.
I liked this place, though I admit that Im very surprised that we have a park and a bridge celebrating the national hero of the Philippines Revolution! Having just started studying him (am reading the Noli and Fili), I was doing research when I noticed Seattle has this place! Sadly, there day I was there, a bunch of homeless people were drinking and it dampened the atmosphere.
The views are spectacular. Will recommend for urban/night photography. The washroom nearby needs attention most of the time.
Just go for the cool photos
Easy parking, bathrooms, beautiful view, photographer friendly
Crazy good views, lots of room for the dog to run, and even a parking lot and for bus access. My only misgiving is the lack of water for the dog.
Its a small dog park near Seattle downtown. It has a great spot to see skyline of Seattle! Very nice view!
Quiet dog park which is really good to work 1-on-1 with your dog. It gets a bit muddy when it’s raining though but my dog doesn’t seem to mind at all. Good park overall.
Nice view looking down on Seattle, bathrooms are not so nice, although I am glad there was one.....
Great off leash dog park and some great views of our city.
One of my favorite places to just hang out and soak in the atmosphere.
I think there is a public bathroom in the upper area. There is a off leash dog area below as well. The only caution here is that sadly there is a large homeless population in the adjacent freeway greenbelt. Nice walking paths located across 15th on the east side of Pacific Medical as well
Only better view is Kerry park
Good for seattle skyline photography and sunset adds different colors. But be careful as I’ve seen car breaking incidents. Be safe and enjoy photography!
You gotta walk to the bridge from parking lot. I did not feel safe around parking lot and the way down to the bridge for the photo. (Perhaps because we went there at night)
Have run by here several times, and the views are great. Especially if you continue down the bridge of the same name just below the park. However, its definitely sketchy here. On my last visit there were people clearly doing drugs/acting erratic and camped out, taking over the entire picnic shelter. In the daylight I would take your photos and keep moving, but I wouldnt want to be here at night.
Perfect place to visit after sunset, got a good view of the skyline.
Beautiful
I do like coming to this park a lot. These photos must be the 10th set I have of the same pictures. I honestly believe it has one of the best views of the city, along with Kerry Park at Queen Anne and Lincoln park in West Seattle. Im only disappointed that because of its south location, and the proximity to the homeless enclave known as the jungle it isnt given the same kind of touristy respect as the other locations. The history is also overlooked since the layout of the park itself is strange, in that the namesake Doctor of the park is further up, where his bust and the plaques wont be noticed. Im glad however, that it is fairly well maintained and still taken care of, with an active dog park just south of the bathrooms. Its also fun seeing couples and local tourists come by in their cars to enjoy the view. A true Lovers Point in Seattle.
Amazing views! Beautiful mosaic!
View of the two stadiums, side by side in the pre dawn sky is incredible, and the downtown sky line as a back ground to the stalled red and white lines of I-5.
Seattle sunsets are really something else. I love this park.
A wonderful view of the city. Unfortunately, it’s a sketchy location and wouldn’t recommend going there at night.
Best view in the entire city, hands down!Kerry park? Whack!
Super quiet park
Good place to sit and look at the sodo area...
Love the view thank Mr. JOSE RIZAL . ...
Nice view. Could be better though..
Fairly well maintained public park with nice BBQ pits and an amazing view of the city!
I love the view of Seattle
Nice family decent neighborhood park
The view is gorgeous. Just dont wander off the beaten path and into the bushes for any reason or homelessness will be staring you square in the face, like it or not!!
Very small park with a great view. It has some picnic tables and little playground for kids. It seems to be in close proximity to a homeless encampment.
I stayed at a shelter on Weller street & often had to check in to remain in the program. I never knew the different ways to get to Chinatown. I liked to explore the area. The shelter wasnt always a place to I wanted to deal with ppl tho.
Dog park is overgrown and unsafe.
It seems as if this off-leash dog park could have a lot of potential unfortunately at this point it is still in need of quite a few improvements the way that it has been built it is extremely Swampy which I assume is the reason why there were no dogs the two times I tried the park out anyways if youre in the area and looking for a dog park give it a shot maybe later in summer well have a little bit better weather and the place will be dried out a bit more right on for off-leash dog parks lets get some more
A park with a beautiful view of Seattle
Really scary. Do not go at night or alone.
The view is incredible but after dark it is not safe
I think this place is in between lots of lots of things
Get views of the skyline. Wouldnt recommend woman to go alone here at night. Otherwise it has a great overlook of the city skyline and both stadiums as well.
Disrepair, maintenance required..:-(
Beautiful view of Seattle! The downtown view at night is spectacular!!!
I have been here with a few different pups and they all have fun every time and go home happy and tired!
Beautiful view. I took my photos and left. It’s a very sketchy part of town. Donot go here alone or walk it.
Amazing view looking North on the city with a lot of the more historic buildings visible as well as both of the stadiums you can see where Interstate 90 begins looking across Elliott paid at Bainbridge Island and the Olympic mountains in the distance on a clear Day You Can See For Miles and Miles and Miles. I referred to this one as scary Park as theyre more famous view looking South is called Kerry Park theres often the aroma of Seattle in the air as Park users are also using cannabis. Theres a dog park below and I would never ever let my family members use the bathrooms here
We brought our dog to this dog park on a recent trip to Seattle. I would not recommend this park for dogs or families. There were several people doing drugs on the benches, and there was only one other person in the dog area that said there is never dogs there when he comes.
I wanted to take photos from the park, however it looks unsafe at all. So I decided to leave the park immediately. You can find people who do weird stuff there. Doesnt worth the risk
THE VIEW FOR ANY Occasion
I live near this dog park and used to visit it often. Then it got over-run with mentally ill and drug addicted zombies from surrounding encampments and nearby shelter. Not worth the personal risk at any time of day.
Cute neighborhood park with small play structure and small grassy slope.
Dangerous spot with tons of homeless people littering and doing drugs.
Great place to site see when you visit Washington.
The off leash dog park is great and theres several hiking trails and a bicycle path that runs through it
Great views from this park...
One of my favorite places to take photos of Seattle skyline
One of the Best Vantage Points in the City, if not the Best in the City.I love admiring the City from here cause Im a Beacon Hillbilly!
Such a wonderful view.
Best sunset views in town!
Beautiful views of Seattle skyline and Olympic mountains. Best seen during sunsets.
Beautiful view and paved walkways, but too many children and dogs
Great bunch of folks. Food is always hot and fresh! Prefer this store, more so than any others in our area.
Very nice
