Good dining experience, food is good and show is very entertaining! The horses are beautiful and well trained and the knights play there parts superbly. The show arena is very nice, you get soup with garlic toast, a large chicken portion, tasty potato and corn on cob. We were pleasantly surprised how very good the meal was! Lots of photo opportunities and cooll gifts for kids and adults. Great place for a birthday party or fun date!

We have been three times with our family and friends. It is always great. You get plenty of food that you eat with your hands. The show is about two hours and they really work at it. The horses and knights perform in duals and jousting and the kids just go crazy yelling and cheering for their knight. We will go back for a birthday later this year.

This place will always be a great time. The day no one has fun here will be a sad day in time. Great show! Fun food and you eat with your hands! My only complaint is the beer selection is quite limited. 3 beers and a cider. Not a big deal....but just my 2 cents! Was really nice they had a local selection from Lucky Monk! That was a nice touch!

This is the third medieval times we have been to. Having also visited the ones in Maryland and Georgia. This medieval times was the best that we have been to this far. There was plenty of parking, an issue at the other two since they are in malls, the service was outstanding, the food delicious, the story magnificent! The training that goes into making this production is visible in the delivery of all aspect, the animals (horses and hawks), the speeches, the combat, and the attire. Very well done!

Fun times. Sitting up close gives a nice prospective. Really looks like any seat would be a good view. The food is a huge piece of chicken, garlic bread, potato and soup. Soup was watered down like crazy but the chicken was huge. Go in with realistic expectations. This isnt a Gordan Ramsey restaurant. Its medieval type food and youre paying for the entire experience. Id go again. Well worth the upgraded tickets also.

I visit Medieval Times every few years with family or friends.  You always want to look for a discount code to get the best rate for the dinner and show.  The staff work hard and stick with the theme, never breaking character, and always with a smile.  I think they do a good job with the food and I always enjoy my meal.  They change the show every once in a while.  Its always good, but I did prefer the shows of old. It was always fun in the old days, with the evil wizard and the Green Knight always playing the bad guy.  Its still a fun show, and amazing to see the falcon and the trained horses.  The finale is the tournament with jousting and one on one combat.  Its certainly choreographed very well, and still very dangerous with the horses and weapons posing very real hazards.  The Medieval Times dinner and show is something everyone should try.

Fun times celebrating my husbands birthday. To give info to those whove never been, definitely arrive early. You go through so many lines at the beginning. Long line to check in and get your table number. Then you get a paper crown and take a photo with the queen. Tip: pre-buy photos if you can, they charge $20 if you didnt pre buy. Then you finally get into the great hall, where you can buy things at several stands like real and toy weapons, drinks, etc. You can pay extra to be knighted by the queen right before the show. There are many free photo opportunities, several throne setups around the great hall. Around the corner there are live horses in display pens and a small torture museum which charges a $2 entry fee. Finally near the start time, they let groups into the main arena. There are 4 sets of entry doors next to each other. Those needing special assistance go first, then VIPs who get the front 2 rows, then everyone else. Groups get sort of reserved seating together, while everyone else is first come, first served. TIP: Each row has 14 seats, so if you have a group of more than 14, dont force one straggler to sit among strangers. We had trouble with the seating, we had a group of 13 and a stranger was assigned to sit in our row but refused to sit on the end. We had to get help from our wench to force her to move so our group could sit together. They immediately begin serving your meal, drinks, bread and soup, half a chicken with a half potato and half corn. Its not a lot of food but it was enough and good. You eat with your hands. Dessert was a small scoop of ice cream unless you upgraded to cake. There are people walking around the whole time selling toys, photos, drinks. Meanwhile, the show is happening. The show is a combination of horse tricks, sword fighting, a falcon, chatter by the queen, and other things you dont see everyday. The knights were really amazing. Our knight won but he was really sweating. These guys are not just actors, they ride very well, they can use weapons, and they are basically gymnasts. Seriously the knights were really great. They lower a protective net around the audience before the jousting begins since there are wood pieces flying around. TIP: But some type of cheering banner.... it doesnt matter what age you are.... youll want to cheer loudly and wave a banner! The show lasts 2 hours. After its done, the knights and the queen come into the great hall for photo opportunities so you can take a photo on your phone for free. They also keep the vendors and torture museum open afterward if you didnt have time before. Overall, our group had fun and the birthday boy had a blast. The adults were just as into it as the kids. I definitely recommend if youve never been. They did a great job, despite the chaos if hundreds of people.

This is literally the one thing that I believe every child should experience! They have never disappointed me. The only disappointment, is you trying to get pictures but also wanting to sit back and enjoy the show. These actors and performers will leave you cheering and rooting and begging for more. I do not thing there is anything they could do or change to make this show any better. We will be back. We will watch it again. And yes. We will be front row again when we do!!!

I have been a long time fan of Medieval Times. I have been to the show countless times for birthdays, anniversaries, and just for no reason at all. We went to the show tonight as a group, sat in the black and white Knights section, and had the BEST service ever. Our waiter, Billy, was amazing. He was attentive and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time even though he had a lot of people to serve. But my favorite was that a little girl sitting in his section was so torn up about not getting a flower from the knight that Billy got her one. He stood and talked to her and made her night special. I told him he must love his job, which he says he does. Billy made a long time fan into a lifetime fan. He was the real champion of chivalry tonight. Thank you Billy! Hip hip hooray!

This place is fantastic. We had such a great time! Some notes; parking is a nightmare. We drove around for 15 minutes looking for a spot before giving up, parking elsewhere and calling an Uber. Also drinks are very expensive. Bring cash to tip your “wenches”. If you want drinks during the meal it takes a very long time to get them. I’d suggest going to the bar in the time after you’re seated until the show starts (about 15 minutes) that way you’re all set! The chicken was very good, not dry, good flavor. Overall it was awesome! The performing horses and knights were fantastic and the falcon demonstration was very cool!

This place was soooo much fun! It transports you back in time on a wild adventure! Pulling up to the place you see a HUGE castle. The castle is easy to spot from the main road too. There is PLENTY of parking. As soon as you walk in you either go to the right (VIP) or the left. After you check in, you take a commemorative picture (you’ll get copies later), then you are escorted to the main hall. There is a bar, stands to buy things such as swords, shields, crowns, jewelry, etc. The knighting also takes place in the main hall before the show. The show didn’t start til 7:30pm but the doors open early at 6:15pm. Go early if you want to take pictures, get knighted, and buy things. You can go see the horses and go into the dungeon ($2) to see old time torture weapons. DON’T eat before you come here! They feed you a LOT of food. Tomato Soup, garlic bread, half a whole chicken (see pic), corn on the cob, half a baked potato, and after that a dessert. The show was amazing the knights, the crowds, the queen! It was a knight to remember!

Fun and entertaining. Was my first time their and I really enjoyed it. Drink prices are on the high end but I suppose thats to stop people from getting too drunk. Got the most expensive package (Queen/VIP) but couldnt get the announcement (for a birthday) from the next package down, which just seems weird. Seems like the top tier should include all things in the tiers below and offering the $30 knighting option instead just seemed like a huge cash grab. The museum/dungeon option for an additional $2 a person was worth it to kill time before the show started. Its a very small walk around, but its pretty cool to see the torture devices and how they were used. Food was good. Served in courses. Tomato soup, garlic bread, corn, half a baked potato, half a chicken, pound cake, soda/coffee. Nothing fancy, but tasted good. All in all while I had a good time, enjoyed the food, and was entertained, but I dont think Id buy the most expensive package again since it doesnt include anything really worth it except priority seating. Offering the knighting thing over just including the shout out from the package below left a negative impression that makes me want to spend less money, not more.

One word; WOW!!! Medieval Times was a spectacular surprise. Filled with Chivalrous Knights on beautiful horses, rivalry, medieval tournaments, Cheers & Ale. This wonderful night out with family and friends, will not disappoint.A celebration from beginning to end.The dinner was surprisingly delicious. Feast on Dragons blood soup, Roasted Chicken, corn, potatoes& an assortment of alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages.Get your fingers deliciously messy as you dine without cutlery, so you may wanna bring a few wet wipes(they do provide them as well).Be swept off your feet as you Scream & Cheer for your knight in shining ArmourThere are indoor gift shops in every area, just outside the arena, Pubs & photo booths.Choose from a selection of packages. We went All Out and purchased the Queens Royalty Package.Trust me when I say; it was well worth it.Seating is first come first serve (unless you VIP). We got there early, on a cold afternoon & there was already a generous crowd. If youre bringing the kids & plan to buy Swords, flags, crowns, etc. you might want to bring an extra bag to keep your purchased items together. If possible, leave your coats in the car.Purchases can also be done from your seat. Credit cards are accepted at the gift shops, Pubs & at your seat.We stopped by the gift shop afterwards where you’ll find an enormous variety of gifts for the kids & the grownups.Gratuities are not included with your ticket purchase. I like this option because it allowed me to give a little extra to our host or hostess. They were wonderful.Dont wait till the end of the event for your potty break(especially if you have kids). The bathroom line is quite long for the ladies.Top your evening off with a tour of the Torture Museum. So, if youre feeling like a Game of Thrones sort of night with your Prince or Princess, this is the place.

We watched this show to celebrate our sons birthday. We were surprised at having to arrive 75 minutes in advance, but when we realized we needed some time to explore and take pics, it made sense. The show itself was entertaining throughout. The knights were fit and skilled horsemen and swordsmen. Dancing horses and a kestrel hawk were also part of the show. The knights directly engaged the young audience by throwing them roses or favors, which thrilled the youngsters. The food was alright...no great shakes. The wait staff were very attentive though. This is a delightful way to mark a special occasion so dont think twice before booking your tickets here. You will love the experience and cherish the memories (especially your group pic with the King)! It is worth every penny...sorry, cent.

Witty, funny and can pour a cup of liquid perfectly in the dark. The master of the games made for a believable nobleman as well as the queen & counselor, always staying in character. I would love to see an improvement on the Audio because we lost a bit of the plot/story, unable to hear the lines being delivered. The horsemanship astounded me, I was not expecting FALCONRY (looking at you Sir Kenneth) and the combat choreography was really good. A lot of places will drag their feet or straight out not believe. NOT THIS PLACE! This place took it seriously and even went to lengths to show they were making sure no cross contamination happen. The food was also delicious. We had the vegetarian and it was top tier, in my opinion. I believe the atmosphere, the show, and the food was worth the price of the ticket. I want to give a shout out to our server Billy. He went the extra mile to have us know no cross contamination happened. He also was friendly and professional not only to us but also everyone in his section. I totally suggest asking for which section and row he is serving and try to be seated in that area (Chicago location). The food and Billys service made sure that I am planning to go back there next year.

Blade and Lance meet Pagentry and Fun, sprinkled with a tiny bit of over-the-top, WWE-type entertainment in this wonderful castle in Schaumburg, Illinois. Yes, you ren-faire fanatics, you are allowed and encouraged to wear your costumes. Our knight began at 2:45 PM (they open the doors 75 minutes before showtime) in the parking lot of the Saturday, Feb. 8th, 4 PM show, where my royale family (in-laws included) embarked on our journey to the front gates. My youngest was like myself, extra eager and excited to get in the doors. We got to skip the line because of the Royal Package upgrade, which I highly recommend for any time other than the most dead of seasons (helpful hint - any weekend preceeding or following even a hallmark holiday? Definitely a busy time. Plan accordingly). When you Enter the Building: Our hostess (yes, you may call them wenches) got us our VIP Lanyards and laminated seat tickets for the front row of the Black and White Knight section... which was also right in the middle of the arena. Think 50 yard line. We were then allowed to wander the halls whilst waiting for entry. This is where the fun begins. Inside, there are several shops that sell toys and fake swords, real swords, gift packages such as announcements during the tournament and knightings, a costume and photo area (think of those old-timey photo stops, only medeival themed), a full bar with five beers on tap, at least four mixed drinks (pina coladas, margaritas, etc), and a wine bar. Moreover, they have a viewing area for the horses used in the show, a scribe who shows you medeival weaponry and trinkets of the middle-ages, and my personal favorite - the royal falconers, who have three different hawks and falcons used in the show. They also, for a paltry sum of $2 bucks a person, have a torture chamber that shows you all of they ways we humans did horrible things to other humans throughout history. Before Everything Begins: While you are pre-gaming, milling about, chatting at one of the tables, or perusing the wares in the shops, they have a fun thing that happens. The queen comes out to greet everyone and commemces woth the knighting ceremony. There, the lovely queen of the castle will knight or declares a princess (your preference, not gender specific!) individuals young and not-so-young who have gone to the services area and paid for it. Talking from experience, this is a pretty awesome thing - my in-laws distracted me so they could get me knighted for my 40th birthday (see sheepish picture of me below). After the knighting, they seat everyone, Royalty package first. The Show: As mentioned above, we were front-row, 50 yard line. We had cheering banners paid for via the Royalty Package waiting for us. Our man-wench (mench?) Tim was waiting to seat and serve us. He was 1000% awesome. Very prompt with each course of food, quick with the soft-drink refills, and even quicker getting the bartenders to refill our adult beverages. The show consists of falconry, horsemanship, skill with lance-on-horse and, finally, combat on foot. I do recommend you try your best to not invoke Jim Carey and Matthew Brodericks Medeival Times fight scene or you will have that music playing in your head the entire time. Words, however, cannot do justice to the overall action of the show, so I hope some of the photos help. I encourage you to really get into the cheering because the actors are great at interacting with the audience: from tossing flowers to the ladies after each skill round to pumping the crowd up, to playing the bad guy and staring and shouting at members of the crowd. My brother-in-law, my youngest son, and I were really into it.The Food: Not enough characters left to describe, but absolutely tastey. World class? Maybe not, but definitely 7.5 out of 10. Loved the chicken. They have options for gluten-free and vegetarian as well. Thanks, everyone at Medeival Times, for making this the best 40th birthday I could wish for!

We went for a 3rd birthday party which was fun but maybe one year too early. My son was having a hard time sitting for the full two hours. Other than that, it was so much fun. He loved the lights, fog, and horses. He wasnt as interested in the show but we enjoyed it. The dinner was much better than I expected. One thing to know is that there are no food substitutions so you only get the tomato soup, garlic bread, chicken, corn, and pound cake. Thankfully my son ate it but not all the kids did. Also for kids, stop at the bar for a water for them. We asked 3 different people who stopped by the table and they all said Im not your bartender, I cant get that. Im honestly not sure if it ever showed up. Overall, lots of fun and not really a bad seat anywhere.

I love going here. If you Think you don’t like nights or mid evil times think again. This place is a wonderful outing for a family. Very detail oriented. Upgrades are definitely worth it. The meals are in with your hands just like in medieval times. The food is always good. Service is always prompt. Everybody always gets really into the show. Horses are beautiful. Overall: An experience unlike many others out there, if you like anything Medieval then you will love this place! The good: From afar you can see the massive size of this place, and when you walk in (after the long lines) you are bombarded with crests, flags, swords, chatter, and drinks. Everyone involved with the production is enthusiastic and fun. When the show starts the fights are impressive, food surprisingly good (and a ton of it), and the service is attentive and quick. The not-so-good: Pretty expensive, from the food to the drink to especially anything else (pictures, merchandise, etc.). Bring your wallet and be prepared to shell out.Food/drink: 8/10Service: 9/10Atmosphere: 10/10

The food was great, the entertainment was wonderful, except some of the acting could be improved. The storyline was interesting. Lots of gorgeous horses. Very well trained and they look like they are taken great care of

Food was great. Portions were very filling. They offer a take home bag at the end of dinner. Service was a bit slow because the servers are multitasking. Show was very entertaining! So much fun, overall. I bought my tickets on Groupon. Very good price for a dinner and a show!

Enjoyable dinner theater experience! Explore the theater when the show is over, there is a lot to see. The dungeon was a nice add-on after the show.

I will forever love this show!!! My Boy Blue! Gets it every time I am in attendance. I do wish the souvenirs were a little more authentic. Aimed towards more of an over 6 yr old crowd. I knew squat about that stuff at that age. Except how all my friends wanted to be princesses, Disney princesses. Not a secretly, blood craved, death seeking, control freak! But hey, that attracts my butt to the seat! Always a great time!

My family and I went to the Saturday show and it was amazing! First time here and the second we walked into the arena we couldn’t stop smiling. The food was delicious, our waiter was so pleasant and funny, once the show started we couldn’t stop watching. It was such a great experience and I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to go. This will now be a new tradition for us. Also definitely look for discount codes, our family of five was able to go with the royalty package, and tickets to the doom museum. All for under 300 dollars!

The family had so much fun. They dont have high chairs. If you have small children they will have to sit on your lap or just purchase a childrens tickets. The food is average, it tastes like frozen food you would buy in bulk. The show was great, we could tell that the actors practice and really get into their roles. Will visit again

Great time. Felt like the horses were doing unnatural things; the only reason I marked them down from 5 stars. The show and food are a lot of fun... Great way to spend the evening with my family. Unique experience that I look forward to doing again.

Buy your alcoholic drinks from the bar direct! Food was very tasty. Portion size coulda been bigger tho, a whole potato, another bowl of soup or the option to substitute the corn... But yeah. Really liked it! Staff friendly& atmosphere was buzzin.

This place is a fun treat. Its a bit pricey, but if you look, they always have deals online or through their email list. The food is excellent and the proportions are very large. Anyone who has kids should definitely consider taking them here.

Had an amazing experience, the food was great. Loved how all the staff stayed with the theme and did not break character. The museum was interesting and I loved the information that went along with each piece. I only Wish it wasnt so expensive, but did have a great time. I recommend finding discounts or coupons for the tickets.
