More places like this need to exist... in our current society, the new generation has become more and more dependent on technology and social media. This has caused our youth to struggle with self confidence and social skills which are still crucial to their success in life. JRP does more than coaching and developing their talent for the entertainment industry but it also helps them discover the best of themselves and sets them for their success in life. Along with these unbelievably valuable services, JRP’s clients get the connections and exposure to the industry professionals that can make things happen, if you’re willing to put in the hard work and make those dreams a reality. As a previous JRP client, I cannot thank them enough for all they did for me in developing my skills, helping me break out of my shell, and get the opportunities in the industry I once thought would be impossible. I thank my mother as well for listening to me and the directors and making this investment on my future. If you have a dream and have the drive and determination, then JRP will help with the rest!

Yea...its a scam. I worked here very briefly, and they literally teach you in the training how to scam people on the phones. If you were willing to pay for the classes, you make the cut. Not to mention the employee turnover is crazy high, and the job is 100 percent commission so they dont have to pay you a dime before you quit. Avoid like the plagueEDIT TO RESPONSE BELOW:Yea, 7 days...and why do you think I left after such a short amount of time...? Funny that training a talent director can take a long time, and yet I was thrown into selecting “talent” at the end of my first and only week. Now if it takes so long to train, how was I in any way qualified to judge said talent? The rest of my first and only week I was essentially cold calling and hitting people up for money (the only way you can get paid). Believe what you want people, if you want to invest money into this, it’s on you. Regardless of what else they say, you’ve been warned

Of course you can try others, but I guaranty this one I go to is not a scam. Yes they ask for money, for example I pay 150 a week. But do you think their going to teach you for free. I mean think about it, you might not even get picked by a agent when the time comes so they may have just wasted all their time on you. I have been here for the 10 weeks and know some people have agents. I know a person who is going to be in 2 movies.

Not sure how to keep my opinion out of this. Facts: 1) They seem to offer a great service. 2) The service is not cheap. 3) They sell the idea that the potential for rewards are great if - in our case - the child can apply themselves. 4) The sales reps come to you like car dealers, closing the door and selling the idea of your child becoming a star. 5) Dates and times for instruction are limited and inflexible. 6) Sign up for classes is once per year and requires a tryout at a casting call - which I believe costs something. We won a tryout in a contest, then were called back based on our childs talent and enthusiasm. We were promised a tryout in front of agents representing Disney and Nickelodeon if our child went through the class, which was a minimum of $1500. The 3 hour/10 week Saturday classes in the suburbs didnt fit in our schedule so we were forced to decline.

Zero stars! This is more like a daycare service than what they are selling you. The teachers don’t know what they’re talking about and you can find most of the information they are “teaching” your kids on google. Had to buy make up brushes for a ridiculous price and were never used. The amount of money you have to pay for classes is unreasonable especially when they don’t even help you get ready for the “auditions” they hold. They try to sell you this idea of going out of town and paying more money for an open casting event which is just a scam and a kid my daughter’s age also interrupted a class saying she found her best friend when she attended the event. So they are trying to scam kids by telling them that they might find their future best friend at these events. Total scam and just sign your kid up for sports, dance or gymnastics because you will get more for your buckReply: you stated the out of town event as a convention so “agencies” can scout kids which is just a ruse to get more money off of your clients and your “teachers” are struggling actors who can’t get a job acting so settle on acting like teachers so they are playing a role to get paid! For example, a girl in my daughter’s “class” went to Europe and the “teacher” spent the whole time asking the girl questions about her trip to Europe. Seriously I’m not paying you for show and tell especially because the “classes” don’t last that long. My daughter asked one of her “teachers” if she had ever been in a movie, tv show, play or broadway production and the teacher told her a fake title of a movie that doesn’t exist. I’m not using my real name because I’ve learned to never give my real name to scammers

Wasnt sure what to think when going into it, but JRP exceeded my expectations. It is so hard to get an audition with an agent without a service putting the agents in front of you. I did a program with another place that didnt do much of anything for me. I did have an agent at one point, but I didnt know how to audition and didnt even know I wasnt auditioning properly and didnt land anything with them so they dropped me. I tried with JRP and they train for real world auditions and have agents come in through the whole process and Im having a final showcase soon where there will be several agents at once. Ive been able to make connections and get on callback lists even while I was still going to classes. I always felt like I could ask questions and I was guided pretty well. I wanted to write this bc I see a few low ratings and I would say its safe to assume those were the people who would always be unprepared for class and then complain they had to pay and blame teachers and staff for them not having things done. Ive seen it. Its so stupid. Just follow the course and ask for help when needed! I feel pretty prepared for real world auditions and Im not even done yet.

John Robert Powers ChicagoMy experience with the Schaumburg branch was fantastic! The emphasis that Colleen put into her presentation on bullying, and self confidence was something I was not anticipating hearing from a company involved in the entertainment industry. I always had the impression that the harshest critics were in that industry, however saying that, the standards set by Colleen were nothing less than a high regard for great attitude, determination, desire for success, and passion for the following your dreams. I walked into the presentation not knowing fully what to expect, I was blown away by what we got to participate in. Not only was my daughter excited to hear about the success stories  as well as hearing how Colleen started their career, she got to listen to how a few of her idols paved their way. The workshop she participated in was so much fun for me to watch, she was interested in modeling and got a minor run down on how to walk a runway. Colleen was very attentive to every girl, helping them with posture, foot placement, and poses. After the two groups were finished, my heart swelled as I watched my shy 7 year old daughter strut her stuff down the mock runway. I was nervous that she would be too shy and not want to participate, but I was blown away by how easily she came out of her shell (I may be a little overprotective). After the free lesson in runway walking we watched the children interested in acting do their slates (I hope I am remembering that term correctly!) all of the kids and parents supported each kid on their turn. I realized then this wasnt a group of stuck up people judging children,  this is truly a group of adults that have a passion for helping children be successful in entertainment. My daughter had an amazing time learning about modeling, meeting other kids, and getting to meet Brooke. If you are looking for an experience for your child thats interested in acting or modeling,  this was an amazing time for my daughter to realize the hard work and dedication that needs to be put in! She recieved a callback, met with Brooke and I saw a side of her that she is usually too shy to show people outside of family.  Both of her talent directors were very friendly, informative, and focused on us. I honestly feared it was to good to be true and we would be rushed, but that was not the case at all. They explained to me where she needed work, why they believed she had potential to be successful,  and what their hopes for her were. I honestly recommend JRP Chicago to anyone looking for a group of educated,  professional,  and honest adults to evaluate your childs potential, and give you a straight forward assessment and possibly the opportunity for your child to work with them. I could rave all day!

They are an ethical company that has been in the Chicago area for more than 50years. Could actually be closer to 60years!There have only been two different owners during this time, you can’t say that about a lot of companies.Anyone can say anything on the internet these days, you never hear the good things. This company does what they say, they actually do put you in front of Agents, Managers, or Casting Directors so you can show them what you have.

I wanna start off by saying JRP Chicago’s is NOT a scam. For those of you who want to move forward with your dreams, let’s me clarify something in the most simplest form I can find. When YOU know what your doing, and you sign w someone or something that requires training, it’s cool that YOU know that you “know it”, but how does that give them assurance ? Out of all the people they meet, if they gave everyone a “trust me I’m gonna be a millionaire” chance and for free, and they turned out not have the skill set. They just not have only wasted their time on you, but they are a BUSINESS, and Time is Money!!!! So they simply take PROFESSIONALS That KNOW what they are doing, that have done it for yearssss, and TEACH you what you should know, so that THEY are confident YOU know it, the way their clientele’s need it done, to make you successful. That’s what your paying for. TRAINING!!! You go to college for free ? I think not! This is a school, if you have a negative mindset of coughing up that cash then baby this isn’t for you. Also, Not just ANYONE can get in. So if you DO get the opportunity, INVEST IN YOURSELF. Put that on your PORTFOLIO and let the next professional see. This is a JOB guys, works the same way as the hourly rate, resumes, just different rules of clocking in. Still HARD work. Stop bashing people and get your bread how ever you can, so you can Pay for your classes and let them help you become successful!!!Thank you Collins for this AMAZING oppotunity!!!!Sincerely, Kyara

Long story short my father and mother ended up paying a couple grand for each me and my sister.. They never got back in touch with us after that.. As a matter of fact my father went out of his way to contact them... they just stringed us along and told my father what he wanted to hear.. They made an appointment for my sister and when we came they were literally just closing up. Thats what broke the straw on the camels back... They SCAMMED us out of $5,000 all together.. And now me and my Fiance have a wonderful son (Ryan) and she was looking into putting my son in modeling.. It just so happened JRP was her pick. Ill be damned if JRP thinks there going to scam me and my Fiance out of a dime. SMH.

JRP is a company that creates schemes to take parents money. We went for a supposed audition where we met a lady who called me the next day to tell me my daughter was just what agents were looking for at the time, and that if she didnt get selected soon she would be very surprised. We paid a few thousand dollars to sign her up for acting classes so she would be ready when the agents came around. The agent audition never came, instead there was some event where the kids did a short commercial they had rehearsed, shortly after we got a call back-they said we had been selected to pay a few thousand more dollars to attend some event out of state and there the kids might meet an agent who would select them. All the kids in my daughters class had been selected for this event too. The acting teacher was nice, but she only taught 2-3 classes out of the several months our daughter attended classes. There was a substitute teacher who seemed to be 16 years old at the most and every other word coming out of her mouth was umm yeah..so and she was the one who taught the kids. Over all my daughter got to make friends that was the bright side, but this company is what would be called a legal scam, a company that pushes the buttons of parents with enticing sales pitches getting us to spend money and they just lead you on until you get tired of spending your time and money. I certainly would not recommend it.
