Really neat bridge. We were staying in Savannah and had to check it out since it was so close! Unfortunate it was grey and rainy, but still a nice view and neat photos.

Wonderful view!!!!! I took a sunset cruise down the Savannah River with my family and it was a beautiful experience. The next time I would like to drive over the bridge for the breath taking view

Absolutely love this bridge. Ive been all the way to the top of this bridge. You take an elevator up about half way then you have to take a fire escape ladder up the rest of the way. When you open up the hatch you better be holding on because the wind about yanks the hatch door out your hands. Once at the top its an amazing view. You can see so far. I placed and worked on security cameras they have up there. The GA PORTS, COAST GUARD, THE NEWS, and other various folks have cameras on top of the bridge. Uncle SAM is always watching.

Awesome experience every year. I meet my Mom & Sister in Savannah to take the great bridge challenge. We always have a great time meeting some awesome people. The after party is great and the town is always decorated beautifully for the Holidays.

It’s a nice bridge. Leaving Savannah you see nothing but nature. But this is about the bridge. It’s a cool bridge as far as bridges go.

Very neat bridge that leads from GA to SC. It is a neat experience to ride over the bridge. You can see all of Savannah from up there. Once you get into SC there isn’t much to do until you have driven a long ways.

Beautiful view, but I was only able to see it because I did a bridge run. You cant go up there otherwise yes, something about the cops and it being illegal.

Great bridge, big crater ships you can watch, you can probably jump on them cause they come within 5 ft of hitting bridge while going under it, highly recommend trying to jump onto the ship

Beuitifull suspension bridge connecting South Carolina and Georgia. I tried to take a picture, but it dident work out that well because I was in a moving vehicle.

SOMETHING NASTY HAPPENED TO MESo get this! I am driving up to this bridge and the bridge insulted me. The bridge said really, you are going to drive that slow? I told the bridge I am going the speed limit, whats it to you? Then the bridge laughed in my face. I drove to the other side of the bridge and the bridge was very apologetic. It even bought me a beer to make up for my woes. I decided that the bridge was a mean bridge but more than made up for it with its kind gesture.

Worth a ride across on its own

A beautiful bridge right in the heart of Savannah Downtown. You can miss it from anywhere. I wish they colored the bridge at night a little so its more majestic looking at night. That would certainly add more appeal to the bridge. It has a commanding presence rising high above all building in Savannah. From there you can have a great view of the Savannah Convention center as well as Savannah Downtown.I have also seen people running up the bridge which I think is easily a 1.5 mile span. So if you plan of seeing the bridge up close or plan to take some up close photographs then walking or running your way or up to the bridge would be the way to go.

Love it. Amazing tourist destination. Iconic to the city’s skyline, although there are talks of rebuilding it so bigger ships may come through the river. Rumors of a new name coming, although I’m not sure I agree. History is history, and trying to hide it changes nothing. It just makes us seem idiotic.

Much better than the old bridge. I used to drive a loaded dump truck over it all day. The grade was super steep. This bridge has become an iconic symbol of the city. Its named after a racist, Democrat segregationist, but the city just petitioned the state to change it to the Savannah River Bridge.

This bridge is an awesome place in Savannah! It is so beautiful! You can see The port Of Savannah and a shipyard, and the whole city! Awesome tourist destination.

So pretty. Absolutely go on it while in savannah. It takes you to the Georgia, south Carolina line.

Beautiful bridge, stunning view from the top in either direction. Not at all scary, either. We came over during a time in November when there was smoke in the air from wildfires far away, and there was a haze over the city, quite visible from above. Coming back to SC, the sky was bluer on that side of the river, and the view of the land and water on that side was spectacular.

I was here for an event. Beautiful view of the city and Port Savannah.

I had always wanted to go up to the top of the bridge and take a couple of photos, and on a recent stay at the Westin I did just that! It is breathtaking!
