Got a chance to visit and walk through this spooky old(200+years) house in Savannah,Ga. Some say its haunted and others visit for the history. No matter what the reason for your visit it is a must see. Photos can not do it justice. You have to walk the halls and visit the rooms in order to understand what Im trying to say. Words are so inadequate! So come see this place first hand. Youll be glad you did and youll have a great time doing it.
Spooky and very interesting place to see, must visit on the ghost tour or a day time visit
Beautiful home and very nicely kept. Our tour guide was awesome, she answered all of our questions, and then just allowed us to explore at our own pace. Highly recommend this tour.
Very talented folks giving you the spooky details of the inhabitants of this home.
Very cool spot to tour. We did it via the haunted tour at night and the grounds keeper personality was hilariously over the top
Gorgeous!!! This house is in extraordinarily good shape! It was amazing to be able to tour it! The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the home and previous owners.
We went with the haunted trolley tour... Beautiful home. Didnt see any ghosts, but you can feel the presence of the people who used to reside there.
Stopped by here on a ghost tour, with Old Town Tolly tours.
This house is quite errie indeed. My body tensed up shortly after arriving and didnt subside til I went into the house. This was the first stop on my tour and I was impressed. You may see something... I did watch the windows.
Steeped in history (and possibly haunted!), The Andrew Low House is beautiful and full of antique items from days gone by. Its a great stop for anyone interested in the history of Savannah! Also, the staff here is very knowledgeable and friendly!
You have to take the tour...I had a great time.
Fun little 30 minute tour of the Low house. Interesting to learn about the history and see the house.
This is a great place to learn about Savannah history and specifically about the Andrew Low family. The staff are very nice and our tour guide was amazing. Thank you so much!!!!
Believed haunted historic home of father-in-law to Girl Scout founder, Juliette Gordon Low. Well appointed with era accurate furnishings give a glimpse into the lifestyle of the turn-of-the-century wealthy.
Beautiful Home to visit with a lot of history.
Our tour guide Tara was amazing. The house was beautiful and full of history. Lovely staff and beautifully preserved. We did not feel rushed during our tour, and we had ample time to ask questions and tour the grounds. Would definitely return when they open the basement floor.
This is a beautiful place! Gorgeous interior and a very neat look into a home built in the colonial style. We went on the Ghost and Gravestones tour, but we still got a great tour of the house.
Went there as part of the ghost tour. The mansion is cool but the ghost tour was terrible.
Went because it was listed online as one of the most haunted places in Savannah. Its ok for its historical value, nothing haunted here though. Then took the Ghosts and Gravestones trolly tour at night and it turns out one of its stops is the Low House. So, if you want to visit it and save a buck just go on the Ghost and Gravestones tour. Its funner, and its surprisingly good at scaring you near the end of the tour.
It was part of our ghost sightseeing tour ans was a beautiful house with a long history in Savannah. It was a little creepy.
While our tour guide was telling us about the heart of the house he had this little blue orb floating around him. So cool!
Very well maintained old house. The kids bedroom is so creepy! Worth the visit!
Creepy but fun. Got to hear the history and see a lot of cool stuff. I would have loved to be able to explore deeper but youre limited to the guided sections. Still a cool place to visit.
Wonderful museum of family treasures. Tales of Ghostly Spirits still sharing the house with the living!
Beautiful and historical but I didnt see any ghosts
Beautiful and elegant. You can picture yourself there.
The usual stories. Not so great
Delightful tour of this mansion. What a soap opera! Lots of period pieces here.
Immaculately kept home of Juliette Gordon Lowe, the founder of the Girl Scouts. Our guide was the right blend of history buff and quirky stories.
Beautiful home. I would say it would have been a little better had our guide shortened the speech she gave at the beginning. We love to hear info about the house and family but I felt she was a little too detailed. We had 6 of us and we all felt the same.
Went here as part of the Ghosts and Gravestones tour. Sweet Sadie was our tour guide through this beautiful home. Check it out if youre in Savannah!
If you are any bit of a history buff like I am, then you will love this adorable, well built homes of our nations history. My only warning is that you dont individual tickets to these houses, but instead you buy tickets from the boat museum that cover multiple houses for a reduced/discounted price. But enjoy the walk to each one and really take in all Savannah has to offer. So beautiful and romantic and it has been heavily revamped for modern days but the city has also taken to maintaining the beauty and integrity of their historical buildings
Beautiful home but super creepy.
Since Mr Lows son married Juliette Gordon Low the founder of girls Scouts of America, it was interesting to know where she lived after marriage and a bit of her adult history.
Visited during ghost and gravestone tour. Very beautiful and well kept home.
Beautiful home and great tour!
Really fun tour! The tour guides were the perfect amount of creepy to add to the experience. I enjoyed it, and will definitely do it again!
This place took me 200 years back. I enjoyed learning different aspects of a house back then. You have to pay 10$ to take a guided tour inside. The guide described everything clearly and elaborately. There is a piano with vertical strings and only two pianos with vertical strings can be found in the world at present. One is at Andrew Low house and the other is at Buckingham Palace. Had great time.
Very interesting place. Supposed to be haunted... which makes it a little more fascinating. Full of information.
A must see if you are in the area. The grounds are very well kept and staff kind and friendly
Very interesting experience. Great preservation.
Love this period mansion; rich with history, it is a gorgeous property thats been immaculately maintained. Go for a glimpse into the past, learn the incredible history one of Savannahs most famous families and maybe get a little spooked by one of the resident spirits. Great fun for friends, families and couples. *Recommend the Ghost and Gravestones Tour of the Low Mansion by Sweet Sadie*
Very well maintained and historically beautiful in so many ways. We toured the Andrew Low House from an evening trolley ghost adventure and found the home to be the best part of the tour. We tried to snap tons of pictures hoping to see some sort of apparition, but sadly just lots of light spots. Allowing the public through the home is great and we appreciate all the hard work that goes into maintaining and continuing to teach the history of the landmark.
We took the tour and really enjoyed it. Our guide was great and answered all of our questions and even gave us a few recommendations of the tours that we might enjoy. The house and history are beautiful and have been well cared for. Dont forget to pet the lions.
Definitely felt a presence here!
This stop on our Ghost and Gravestones tour was a welcome treat. The historical stories and original artifacts in the museum add to the credibility of the ghost tour. Our hostesses Scarlet Jewel and Willow were informative and animated. Definitely a highlight of my Savannah stay
Interesting history.
Very informative. Take great pictures. You will see quite a few rooms.
A definite must visit if youre in the Savannah area. Absolutely beautiful and supposedly haunted.
An absolute great house to visit to learn about life in Savannah. The house is beautiful and filled with so many period pieces to light up the imagination. Our tour guide was great - revealing stories that brought the people who lived in the house alive. A must visit when youre in Savanna.
Very interesting tour, it was part of a trolly tour we took.
Very cool historical site.
Beautiful, very well preserved historical home.
Beautiful home filled with original artifacts.
Saw this as part of a ghost tour. The tour was too large and hard to see anything. Would like to see this historic home again, but as part of a smaller tour group. Appeared well maintained.
Very interesting place to visit
Great place to visit. Had a wonderful time again!
Great tour of earliest, most luxurious, most advanced house in Savannah.
Awesome museum with amazing antiques.
Ghost tour. Otherwise, a very lovely house and furnishings!
Great history and antiques.
Tons of antiques, nice tour
One of my favorite spots in Savannah Georgia, lot of history in the house, good guides too
Awesome house. We did a ghost tour to visit this at night and it was really neat to experience it.
Visited as part of a ghost tour. House was well appointed and guide was knowledgeable, but information was rushed. Its probably best to take a separate day tour.
Enjoyed a guided tour of the first and second floors. Many rooms decorated with items from that era. Interesting stories. If you want to see and touch history and hear a few ghost stories then you must visit this place.
Enjoyed the tour.
Absolutely stunning and very interesting history. Wonderfully restored and our guide was very knowledgeable. My 10 year old asked what felt like a million questions and the guide was great about not only answering him but discussing and helping him figure out the answers himself.
Beautiful place, the docents and guides are wonderful, super friendly and great experience all around!
Very interesting stories. The history in these Savannah homes is fascinating. Also, the craftsmanship involved is unlike anything most have ever seen
I think its actually haunted, definitely something worth checking out if you get the chance
The ghost tour was very entertaining and you learn a lot about the history of the home as well as the family.
Beautiful history in old town Savannah
Very beautiful historic home.
Cute older historic house. The tour was entertaining and informative.
Very interesting place. A lot of information about this great woman and GS history
Great place to visit in Savannah. I went here by way of The Bus of DOOM! Great times!
Beautiful home!
House was beautiful. We used Ghost and Gravestones ghost tours. Kinda hokey tour guides. Did Charleston Ghost Tour and it was so good. This one not so much.
Lovely house to walk through. Be careful not to confuse it with the Girls Scout founder Juliette Lows museum
Really cool, staff is knowledgeable and helpful
Extra creepy! DO NOT LOOK AT THE DOLLS AFTER 11PM!!!
Beautifully restored house with interesting history. Dosent was very knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to answer our questions - first to arrive when opened in morning so private tour. Servants quarters not part of tour at this time, otherwise would have given 5 Stars.
The house alone is amazing, but the tour that we received is what gets the five stars. The house is well maintained and has tons of intricate details in the architecture as well as the furnishing. The staff did a fantastic job of telling stories, explaining the surroundings, and was prepared to answer any questions. Savannah is a wonderful place to visit for both the fun and the historical value, and this house is a definite must see!
We toured this home and Owens-Thomas and Davenport homes. I recommend going through at least these 3 homes if not more to see the architecture and to hear about the history of Savannah. The Andrew Low house was beautiful and has a fascinating story attached. We definitely need more time to see all Savannah has to offer.
Nice tour but could have been an hour. I felt as if we were racing through the house.
Great guided tour....
Great guide. Beautiful. Full of history.
Went on tour, just some history and antiques that can be interesting to here and see.
Went on the ghost tour with Old Town Trolley. You get a pretty good look around, but, youre limited to where all you can go. Its a big place and you can tell youre only seeing a small portion. Its a historic place and they are trying to keep it in order so its understandable.
Great tour! The tour guide was friend and very informative. The house is truly amazing and well kept. It was one of the stops on the trolley we took and would recommend seeing it if you have time.
Interesting tour and good length.
Beautiful home with interesting stories to tell.
One of Savannahs absolute most beautifully preserved homes, steeped in history.
Very informative tour and it was cool seeing how people lived and their surroundings
Very scary and beautiful
Nice history. Beautiful house!
