I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Its very informative. A few friends and I decided to take a road trip to Savannah . This came up on several sites of recommendations for things to do. We were pleased with our choice. My favorite part was learning about the mobsters & the clapper ladies.

Pretty decent place to go. Definitely enjoyed the bar that was in the museum. I feel it would have been better at the beginning so on the way out, guests could stop and get a second drink. We did enjoy the drinks, excellent for the theme. I plan to bring my wife for the drink mixing classes.

Very informative and even during COVID they try to be as interactive as possible. Walking around learning about the prohibition, speak easys, gangsters, and even how Nascar was born was a fun day. Towards the end of the tour there is a beautiful little bar but I didnt like any of the specialty drinks offered. Thankfully the bartender was more than happy to make me a simple cocktail that I enjoyed very much.Short and could have been a little better if there were employees scattered throughout the museum answering questions.Other than that a fun time

Museums typically are not what my family is interested in. With that said, the Prohibition museum was a great time! Not that many people were there so we could make our way through the museum at our own pace. For work, my family is in pharmacy and it was interesting to read the impact of prohibition had on many of our large pharmacy chains today. I think this is probably why we enjoyed the experience more so. We could tie the history to our current times.

I was hesitant to go due to the lack of information on this place. So I decided to just go for it and I was pleasantly surprised. It cost me $30 for two people which is a tad spendy but its worth the cost. There is tons of super neat info about the prohibition era. I really enjoyed the info that was specifically Savannah and how prohibition affected the town at that time. The museum is also much bigger than youd think. You could spend a few good hours in there just reading about everything. The staff is super friendly and interact with guests wearing period appropriate clothing. I enjoyed the time I spent in the Prohibition Museum and I think anyone else would too.

Such a fun and well done little museum! We loved all the artifacts and wax figures. There was just enough information to keep it engaging. We were disappointed that the bar is closed on Sundays (thanks to the lasting effects of prohibition, ironically), but even without that part it was a lot of fun and informational!Keep in mind if you do the Old Town Trolley you can purchase the tickets for this museum for less than at the door!

Good little museum! Great wax figures! Lots of reading to do, but very informative! My favorite part was the kids gettin the hooch outta the gutters when they were dumping the whiskey out... so that they could take it back to their parents! Now theres quite the chore for the day! ;-) Well done APM... well done!

Each room provides perspective into the movement. The wax figures are made from the wax museum in St. Augustine. A different tour guide is in each room to narrate, your two story walk through, an elevator is there for handicapped and lazy people. I do not recommend Savannah to people with bad balance, the whole town is dangerous on the ankles and other body parts. A roaring twenties bar, waited at the end of the tour. The drinks were fascinating and tasty.

The Prohibition Museum was in the heart of the City Market in Savannah, making it easy to find and convenient. The museum that sells is full of information that my husband and I didnt know before coming into the museum. They had many life-size dioramas of prohibition era historical events. one of these was depicting children, all who were life-size, with buckets made to look like they were collecting the liquor off the streets. Apparently when the prohibition started the police empty buckets of liquor into the streets and parents had their children go and collect the liquor as it ran towards the sewers. They also had life-size figures of some famous gangsters including Al Capone, and the museum attendant, who was dressed in period clothing, asked if my husband and I wanted to use the Tommy gun. if we wanted to we could shoot Al Capone, but he was so life-like that I couldnt bring myself to do it and only shot towards his kneecap. The gun didnt actually shoot anything but it was really heavy and a really cool experience. When we bought the tickets we went ahead and bought the drinks with the tickets, so at the end of the tour we could give a coupon to get a Prohibition era drink. I read a lot of reviews prior to this that talked about how strong the drinks were, but if youre a fan of some of them more classic drinks like an old fashioned or straight up gin martini as well as some other style drinks, then you will appreciate these drinks. They are really good! We had a blast. If you want to order additional drinks while youre there, you can do so at your own expense. after youre done you can go downstairs which leads to a gift shop and shop for some Prohibition souvenirs. Highly recommend visiting this museum!

It was Amaziiiiiinnnng!!! My daughter and I loved it!! The line was pretty long to enter but the crowd moved along relatively quick considering each tour was 55 minutes in length. With dual museum guides operating the wait was about 15 to 20 minutes per group to go inside and take the tour. The museum with chock full of information that was delivered in interesting and interesting and sometimes very interactive way. I reside here in Savannah and had no idea this museum even existed until my daughter/cub brought it to my attention for extra credit in a school assignment. Ill be heading back again sometime soon I can tell ya that! Maybe Ill catch a few details that I didnt see my initial pass through*grin*

Awesome museum. Did not disappoint. Its not a guided tour which we loved! We were able to walk at our own pace. Tons of information and really awesome how they put the whole thing together with wax people, artifacts, newspaper clippings, replicas and so so much more. There are a couple of actors in the museum that do explain a few things here and there. It took us a while to get through the museum and I doubt we even saw everything there was to see. There was one section that got a little congested with the amount of people, but we didnt mind. It gave us more time to read all of the info in that section. At the end of the tour, it opens into a speakeasy where you can order drinks at a bar. Then in the next room, theres a little informative video that lasts about five minutes or so about the era. After that, youre led into a gift shop with lots of cool keepsakes you can purchase. We had a blast. Definitely worth the money!

It tells the story of prohibition start to finish.I wouldnt put this at the top of your must see list, but if you have some time to kill its probably worth it. Nice easy fun stroll with my mid 20’s daughter through the museum. ( And she liked it) My daughter asked Mom, why did prohibition even happen? Politics, the Wetties vs the drys. However the well heeled and those with stills never went without, Government telling us what we can and cannot have. (Hmmm) I giggled when I saw “the medicine” bottle / legal booze bottle. “ honey have you seen my medicine bottle”. Growing up in the south I’m still giggling - I never knew booze bottle medicine bottle could be one in the same - prescription alcohol. Then they have a replica bootlegger car which gave birth to NASCAR. And at the very end a “hooch joint” with once again no hooch in the house due to Covid. Interesting times.
