They really did a fantastic job with the new 1865 club. The oldest race track in America is definitely a very neat place to be at. It is truly a pleasure to come. Parking could be easier but it’s overshadowed by the sheer bigness of the race track. They really bring together old and new in a very unique way. The betting desk can actually walk you through any kind of questions you have because I don’t know how to place a bet to save my life but I wound up winning about nine dollars which is better than nothing.
Ive gone here several times with the wife and some of our close friends. It is always a good time. Lots of food options, fun to bet a few bucks on the horses, especially if you win... Remember, set a limit on how much youre willing to lose before you go. If you win, it is a nice bonus, but dont count on it.
Loved the glimpses of this historic racetrack ! Unfortunately, it is closed to visitors for the season.
Absolutely a one of a kind 1800’s era Track and NYRA’s crown jewel. So many great memories growing up and taking trips with my father and uncles. Even if you don’t bet the horses it’s a must see place just for the environment!
Just a great place...the horse racing, people watching, live music. You can get real close to the horses as they walk to the paddock. The grounds are filled with food booths, artwork, crafts, and cool places to hang out. A joyful pageant!
Horse racing and entertainment at it’s finest. Plenty of food and drink options or just bring your own. Sit for a price or stand at the fence and bet if you feel lucky. Great way to spend the day. Short walk to downtown for more good food and entertainment.
Best racetrack in world. You can bring our own beer inside and sit on lawn under gaint shade trees while watching and handicapping some of the best horse racing during the summer.
Very good atmosphere. The food and drinks are good (but a little pricey). If youre not paying for private parking, the walk could be quite some ways. Betting is very simple and there are many forms of betting (electrically, in person)
Love the horses! & Respect the Jockeys!I feel that management should step back and take a look and the things they do to the workers at the track! Workers are not allowed to get any perks that are given out on special days, yet we see boxes and bags being carried off the property by management to their cars. When its scorching hot, there is no water available for us! You would think that the track would show appreciation by throwing a luncheon for the employees. Lets talk about bonuses! I have never worked at a place that took taxes out of a bonus! INTEGRATED should be ashamed of the things they do and management should be looked into for allowing the poor treatment of staff. I have watched as individuals got angry at their coworkers seating clients because they felt they were interfering with their tips. Positions should be rotated NO ONE should be PRIVILEGED! Its a job and everyone should be afforded the same opportunity to make tips! I hope that Saratoga Racetrack will take a hard look at the PEOPLE who makes it possible for the track to OPERATE!
Breakfast at the track. Free to get in and enjoy morning practice. Delicious buffet if you want to pay. Great morning. Take the back stretch tour.
Great time as usual. Great job by the Ketal One Bartender for those Saratoga Lemonades. Also thank you to Beverly for taken our bets. Last but not least Sam the Horn player. Always funny. Until next year!!!!
The summer place to be and back in the day August was called Saratoga (via Poppie) We hope to get a home there one special day! ️
Always a great day. You can enjoy the beautiful grounds, watch the races and maybe win a few dollars. Its also nice to see that some people still dress for the day and bring a bit of old school charm to the track.
Plenty of free and paid parking, easy highway access. Reasonable admission prices, however food and drinks are outrageously priced. This might be because you can carry in coolers (outside food and beverages allowed,) and lawn chairs. Come early and grab your spot. Clean restrooms and plenty of live and machine wagering stations.
First time there. Beautiful and the town very just stunning. Ate at an Inn oldest building there. Food was great. Will go back just to see the whole town.
Went here on Sunday for the give away. They need to get more of the larger size, or limit the number of sizes a single person can get. Had to get a smaller size than I would have liked. And my friend had to settle for one that didnt fit her at all.
If they can make hundreds of thousands of dollars off these horses they should be obligated to spend whatever it takes to preserve the life of a horse when it is injured.
Beautiful track. Very big. Outdoor area has nice benches that are all occupied on big days. They got dip and dots
So great to see the growth of the racetrack! Its been 20+ yrs since wife and I visited the area. Had a good day despite the weather (humidity, but not the forecasted rain). Lots of new improvements to the track making it more family friendly too as our tween had a good time as a first timer. Win or lose, was an overall great experience again after all this time!
Although theyve raised the costs to enter the track to $7 in recent years...that small cost gains you access to one of the greatest treasures that upstate NY has to offer. There are so many things to do...even if you dont want to bet. Just be sure your ready to walk if you dont pay for parking close to the track. The free parking is not close in most cases.
Nice place to spend a sunny afternoon and the employees are friendly with no hesitation to assist you.
Would like to enjoy a smoking/non-smoking area. Hard to escape the second hand smoke. Pretty gross. But a fun day and a great place.
Nice destination for an afternoon in upstate NY. you can bring your food for a picnic or eat locally. clean and safe environment
I loved going to the track
Best atmosphere of any large major sporting facility. Allows fans to bring their own food and beverage. Must on anyones bucket list.
Its he races baby!! The only time of year Saratoga Springs is worth visiting. Small town with very little to do. White washed town. Grew up here my whole life. The track brings more culture... And gorgeous women!! All the millionaires are in town spending like crazy! Restaurants are booming for 6-8weeks. Im a chef myself at 15 church restaurant in Saratoga Springs. #CheMyrie Come in and check us out. Best steaks in the 518!
Classic place. Great atmosphere in the summer. Retro gaming entertainment. Must see if you are on holiday.
So much fun!! No need to pay extra for seats. Sitting close to the track was so fun
I have waited a year to write this post but I think that it needs to be written. I decided to take my friend to the track to see what it is all about. She is Caucasian. I purchased our tickets and then we decided to go upstairs to get a better view. The older gentleman at the gate let through my friend but rudely brushed me off and said I did not belong in this section. I stated that he had just let my friend through ad we had the same tickets. He stated “No you don’t!” I called back my friend to show him her ticket. It was only then that he acknowledged that we had the same ticket. I will definitely never go back to this racecourse. The implicit bias of the employees is unacceptable!
Hat Day at the track is a must! LOVE watching the races and mingling with the people. Winning is only part of the fun! Join us!
You need to go at least once. You can sit in a parklike setting. Bring a cooler with your food and beverage. Large video screens to watch the races.
My summer vaction every yr .if you love horses and betting races this is nice track to have fun.i jus hope they stop changing prices
Nothing like the Spa for horse racing fans. Competitive racing makes for great betting.
Went on a Saturday morning with our grandchildren to watch the horses work out and have brunch. The entire experience was phenomenal. Our server was fantastic, especially with the kids. The food was excellent, plentiful and the appropriate temperature. The line attendants were also wonderful with the kids. Will definitely go back, what a beautiful track, and the horses were awesome to watch training.
Im not a huge better but its definitely fun to watch and hangout. The Coca Cola Pavilion was a big hit.
Best racetrack period!? However admission price is ridiculous!! Price for programs and food is ridiculous too
There is nothing that compares to the Spa. The rich history as well as the top class horses and jockeys makes this place magical. Ive met folks from around the world here and they all say that coming to Saratoga was on their must visit spot. Even if you dont gamble, the atmosphere, ambiance and people make this place special. Dont forget to being your cooler full of goodies( no glass) and your camping chair and sit back and enjoy your day.
Historic, beautiful scenery, exciting. Had a great time opening weekend.
Saratoga is beautiful town where u can go for a day or two and have fun time. Saratoga Race course is one of the main attractions. It’s beautiful n happening place to be on a race day.
Loved the atmosphere and tradition. Something for everyone. Picnic area relaxed with room to move, coolers, etc. Surrounding downtown area and Victorian houses puts you back in time to a bygone era 1800s.
I have been coming here for 40 years. Always my favorite summer time place to enjoy.
Love it great place to go in the summer.
Fun visit. Friendly people from clubhouse to picknik area. Will be returning again.
Been Going To Saratoga For 38 Years And Running Always The First Weekend In August, Its A Must Go Experience For Anyone Who Loves Horses. The Town Of Saratoga Is Unbelievable, Must Have This On Your Bucket List, You Will Always Come Back Once You Go There, Trust Me.
So much fun! bring a lawn chair and a cooler and enjoy the day!
Good food, cold beer, good service, do I need to say more
Best horse track Ive ever been to. I just wish Id have remembered my hat.
Great day after the Traverse, not too crowded, beer prices were reasonable
Nice experience!
What can I say.... There is nothing better than Saratoga in the summer months.
1st time at the horse race track great time for the whole family
Classic track which maintains historical looks along with modern conveniences
Beautiful race track, there is an option to bring in picnics and beverages.
Had a good time yesterday won couple of bucks. Good energy
Fun to watch the horses. I would say the prices are everywhere for food but $6 for a bottle of water is not a fair price.
Is there any horse track in the country that is this beautiful?
What a fantastic way to spend a summer day.
If you like public drunkenness, ugly hats, and animal abuse this is the place for you! 9th horse died here in 2019 by the second week of track. Seriously a disgusting place.
I attended a Fundraiser at the new 1863 building. Lovely room, good food, great views of track, but terrible acoustics.
Staff are not always the best at gates. But the higher class employees are very knowledgeable and helpful.
So nice peaceful great people loved it
Charming village and great experience watching the races
The track is historic and beautiful and of course so are the horses.
Great historic race track and City. Grew up going to this race track.
Love Saratoga! Easy access to everything and great atmosphere!
Best track in America. Family fun all day long!
The Ultimate American Horse Racing venue.
Nice, clean but didnt win anything, wah
Historic and Great place to visit and watch racing!
Friendly fans, fun food, beautiful horses!
Great place to spend the day. Get in early & snag a picnic table.
Great track...much better than churchill downs and pimco but u have to check bets!!! I was given 3 wrong tkts was given bets for wrong race track lost me money!! Watch the tellers not very swift here
Go once a year and enjoy it!
Absolute best place in the World
Had a great time it was a great day
Beautiful historical place.
A fabulous wonderful place for picnic too.
Best NY racetrack in state. Visit often during summer meet. Family friendly, all kinds of food, Travers race is 2nd only to Kentucky Derby.
Grand old racetrack!! I spent 2 days here in early August. I had clubhouse seats and recommend them. Concessions are pricy but it is a fun place.
My favorite day of the attending the races. Great place and family friendly experience
