Quaint little park set at the south end of Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Several mineral springs to discover as well as a working carousel. Always beautifully landscaped .
Absolutely gorgeous. Would be wonderful if the union soldier monuments were put back up. Great walk.
I love Saratoga Springs! As much as this park is good, it needs a lot more attention. The ponds and fountains have been a bit neglected. It was a bit swampy and not really great to look at. The lawn was well taken care of. This place needs more life. It felt a bit stagnant esiecially for a town like this.
I love Congress park! I stop at 4 Seasons and grab a buffet lunch, then sit at Hathorn Spring to eat. Congress Park is across the street. Its a small beautiful park with a museum, a carousel, war memorials and different springs. Comes complete with ducks!
Excellent Fall stroll which added the extra touch to a stroll in the park. The carousel was closed due to pandemic.
Ducks and squirrels and lots of beautiful scenery. Great place to have lunch. There are less of picnic tables and benches to sit and enjoy the park. Clean and just a very nice park.
Relaxed atmosphere with some of the buzz of Saratoga. The ducks are VERY hard not to feed, they try to help themselves but we succeeded... This time! We brought kittens from their vet appointment and had a picnic before going home. Nice evening. They were very relaxed- being Ragdolls helped especially when an adorable puppy came over!
A peaceful, relaxing park with various springs, art and monuments. Sadly the statue honoring soldiers of the 77th NY volunteers was destroyed by vandals this summer and only the pedestal remains.
Cool lush green walking park with fountains and Good seating places. Right off the main street in downtown Saratoga springs.
A lovely place to visit. The chief attraction for me are the several fountains (some in elaborate structures) where one can sample some of the natural springs waters, which made Saratoga famous. There are also numerous statues, ornamental fountains, memorials, a museum in the old casino, and more. In the spring the park is a riot of crabapple tree blossoms and in the autumn it show off its fall foliage. There are a number of events held in the park, such as a Native American fair I attended there. If that isnt enough, I recently enjoyed watching a small colony of chipmunks scurry back and forth, which made the visit for me.
Nice park. Lovely flowers, lots of friendly ducks and some famous Saratoga water. Some refreshing some downright yucky.
Amazingly beautiful city park. Clean, quiet, relaxing, and pristine. Enjoyed a nice family walk with my kids and pooch. Loved the ponds, water fountains filled with trout, and the majestic statues spread throughout the park. Not too big but just right for a walk or just a picnic. Check out our park stroll with our pooch on YouTube under Erick and Ourbacks
Until this review I never knew this section was called Congress Park! Its part of a larger park-I always come in from Longsteett farm, go by the arboretum, pass the black walnut trees and wild raspberries, across the open field by the first playground and into a trail! Who knew that when I exited the trail this section was Co gross Park! Good to know we can still learn knew things! Love this area.
What a beautiful park. Lots of open space, beautiful natural formations & art installations as well as lot of history
It was absolutely lovely. It felt lively and family friendly. Historical and memorable.
Very nice day walk
Beautiful park with water features, grass, willow trees, and flower beds. Lovely place to stroll to take a break from the bustle of Broadway. The carousel is on one side of the park in a lovely spot to take children. There are natural springs here that are made into water fountains. You can try drinking them, I think they taste kind of like copper pipes.
A cool park that has lots of history. I downloaded the map of the park and the map had history tidbits about the park. Tasted the waters which is/was quite a thing to do once upon yesterday. Plus a carasoul to ride for a dollar! Download the map..wont regret the download
This is a very nice, family friendly park. Very beautiful during summer. There are natural springs, small ponds and lots of nature around. The downtown is very close to this Park.
Beautiful park. Take a walk, have a picnic or just sit under a tree.
Great place for a picnic - ponds and picnic tables all set up for an afternoon in the park
Nice clean well kept park with great history. First time here 10-30 for the ghost tour.
Was a great night with a great girl that ended with a quiet relaxing evening here after some thai food
Very nice park in the center of Saratoga, right near canfield casino. Watch for lots of skateboarders and bike riders.
Super super dope place to visit. It has ducks and a few spring taps to taste the Saratoga spring water. Dont drink out of the one with like six spouts over near the Braodway entrance though. I tasted the piping in one of my sips ha. The ducks are cool to see, as well and there is a ton of green space for picnics and games. Highly recommend.
It is a fantastic place for evening stroll or just for a weekend family picnic. Congress Park is a part of local culture.
Nice place to stroll, see the landmarks, fountains, old casino turned into a museum and banquet venue, etc.
Well maintained, peaceful and an oasis in the middle of the city.
Beautiful park. Nice place to take a walk and dog friendly. I really liked the statues and the foundation.
The park is a great walk, jog or run with plenty of foliage to excite the outdoors
Nice park, springs are nice but there is really nothing to see as most of it was blocked off due to construction.
It was so peaceful... Even with all the people that were there.
Such a beautiful place. The ducks are a big plus for kids.
Quaint, breezy, pleasant and calm place with 4 springs nearby..best way to spend an afternoon/evening!
Clean, beautiful, havent been there for a few years but with the right person its magical...
Beautiful place to just sit or walk around and enjoy the tranquility
Quiet stop in a busy summer city. Food, ice cream and shopping in close proximity. Makes for a nice break.
Beautiful park with fountains and a pond. Great for a dinner picnic.
Nice clean great place to people watch. Very peaceful
Beautiful ducks, varieties that Ive never seen before, but parents, seriously, be respectful of nature and not let your children try to pet them or chase them!
Greens, Pathways, Statues, Beautiful Sculpture, aerated water and rolling Brooks, monuments are all beautiful. I hope the cancel culture doesnt tear it all down.
Loved it! Peaceful, tranquil and a nice walk after dinner. The ducks are a hoot!!
Clean. Most people were covid respectful, and it was nice to get out on a summer day.
Well kept park. Nice walk with the puppy while on vacation.
A small park with wonderful, historical statues.
Quiet place.. good for a leisurely stroll..
I love the park. So beautiful. So amazing the wonderful history . Take the kids teach them about nature and the old society that would gather here.
Awesome park with lots of things to do. The mountains are beautiful and the ducks are friendly! Next time I visit Ill bring money for the carousel.
Beautiful park. The ducks are a little too friendly if you bring food though.
Formerly elegant but now slightly shabby park with fountains and ponds that need to be cleaned. Nice for a stroll and to watch the ducks.
Great place to get mobbed by ducks!
Very clean and open park, its not that big. But thats really the only knock, because of the sculptures, the ponds, and the paths you really wish it was bigger just so that you could keep taking in the sites. Nice leisure walk in the park in the middle of Toga.
First time walking through the park, it was nostalgic and beautiful. Very well maintained and alot of historic features. Enjoyable day!
Beautiful, park located downtown Saratoga. Home to a historic illegal casino, war monuments, and several natural spring water fountains!!!
While Congress Park may be a bit crowded on a nice day, it is a great place to eat with family, bust out the laptop, or walk around with friends. I come here all the time and would suggest it to anyone who is in the area with some time to spare.
Came for the 4th of July fireworks and had a wonderful time. Carousel is very affordable at a dollar and our young kids enjoyed hiking around!
Very pretty park in the heart of downtown with good amenities... there are some very aggressive ducks however, that want to join your picnic uninvited.
The most stunning and charming little park in downtown Saratoga Springs. Grab a waffle cone from Ben and Jerrys and take stroll through its history and fountains.
Absolutely amazing. Like being in Europe...a must see!!!
Beautiful quiet peaceful full or history ambiance and adventure
So well taken care of and manicured. Clean tables and benches.
Great place to sit, talk, watch the ducks and all the dogs people are walking.
Nice for a casual walk whenever you get into Saratoga Springs.
Its just a park. A great place.
Lovely park and memorial. Enjoyed watching the ducks and strolling the grounds
Nice park, just across from Saratoga Springs Visitor Center.
Amazing park, amazing history, cool ducks too.
Really nice park to walk around.
Pretty park in downtown saratoga springs with several fountains and benches for relaxing.
So beautiful feeding the ducks and seeing the baby ducks was amazing also riding the carousel for any age beautiful statues and do much history to learn from there awesome place to get away from reality and just relax
Beautiful and safe park with trails, fountains, and a stream running across the park. The big building in the center is the historic Canfield casino used as a local history museum now. Off to the side is the restored historic wooden carousel. Gardens and fountains make it perfect for picnicking. Great for kids and dogs as well. They also have concerts, art shows, and festivals throughout the summer. Arguably, the nicest place in Saratoga!
With gyms closed, its a great place for an outdoor workout
No matter the season, a walk in Congress Park is a peaceful experience. While you are visiting try the water from the numerous springs.
I love the ducklings and the fountains.
Free street parking and nice fountains, ponds, and trees.
A great place. The grandkids throughly enjoyed themselves. Our eight year old grandson was intent upon chasing the ducks. My only wish is that the ducks would have chased him.
Great place for a safe walk at night.
Great place to relax just off the main street in Saratoga. Be sure to check out the baby ducks!!!
Congress Park used to be the best family park in Saratoga. Nowadays, it seems to be overrun with packs of confrontational young people playing music at unnecessarily loud volumes, and littering all over. When I was a young adult, if we had acted in such a manner someone would have come and set us straight!
Nice outdoors place, okay for canoe and fishing.
Absolutely gorgeous place to longboard, walk or walk your dog, please do not feed the ducks ! And keep your trash in the trash bin thank you
A great place to take walk and visit some of the famous springs.
Great place to get outside and relax.
Always a nice place to relax & stroll around when wanting to get away from the busyness of Broadway shopping. Also a great spot for a picnic
Clean. Baby ducks for the kids . Just a 3 minute walk to gorgeous downtown Saratoga
Very beautiful place to visit with family..
Always a good time watching the ducks. Clean and beautiful
Cute ducks and lots of them. They’re not angry and they don’t beg. Super humble. I wish I could be more like those ducks. Gracious and graceful. Great ducks. They get along with dogs too.
Beautiful place go walk around
What a nice and new park. Many people walk their dogs here too and its extremely clean.
Lovely park to walk around in.
Beautiful place! Beautiful day! Saratoga is a beautiful place to be at!
Very beautiful and peaceful. Love spending my afternoons here.
Nice park to walk around, beautifully kept grounds and a few plakes giving history on area.
Congress Park, built in 1913, is a spectacular location for a picnic on the many grassy lawns or a stroll through the beautiful manicured walkways enjoying the amazing ornate water features and sculptures. Don’t miss this gem! And if you have the time walk around the area to the east of the park or the north end of Broadway to view the must-see mansions.
