Carolyn at the golf pro shop was a pleasure to meet. She answered all of our questions and was a true professional! Golf course is challenging and the course was in excellent shape. Misty Creek just hosted the high school district event last week and the Junior Under Armour Tour. This tells me that they are very interested in the future of young golfers.

One of my favorite golf spots in the Sarasota area. Great people and service! The greens are very well kept and it’s always a pleasure to play in a course that is very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Fantastically scenic and just the right amount of challenge (esp the back nine). Very well managed, friendly professional staff. Just a beautiful course in excellent condition.

I have been playing this course for over 20 years, recent improvements have made the course an even better playing experience. Challenging, but rewarding when you execute your shot making skills.

We did love the golf course today. Hard sometimes but enjoyable. The gators and the birds are amazing. Cool water dispensers are plenty.

I Played here on Monday, January 27th, 2020 with a friend of mine named Joey V......I drove North from Naples and he drove South from Tampa and we met and hooked up with two older guys. The course was nice and set in some deep woods looking Florida Forest. No two holes seemed the same. Greens were nice and we had a nice day! The fee (About $60 bucks) was very reasonable for Florida Golf during the Winter season. I would play here again if ever I am in the area, but they should give you a few range balls to loosen up with as part of the fee. (Four) 4 Stars !!

Great layout! Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Greens in good shape, fairways good, tee boxes good. The pro shop told me to get in line on the first tee. That was somewhat strange...wasnt there a starter? Nope! There was not a ranger either! Talk about slooooooow play. Groups were hitting two-three off the tee. They would wait for the group in front of them that was 200+ yards until they would hit. Once they did, they only went 125 yards max! Some shots they shanked! You waited for that?! Didnt care if they were holding anyone up. They need to have a ranger/ambassador to move people along! That is the only negative view I have for this course. It would have been 5 stars.

Course was in great shape, despite heavy rains recently. Only had 2 cart path only holes. Greens were true, and layout is excellent. Challenging, yet fair. Would definitely recommend Misty Creek to other golfers.

Its really one of the best not so secret courses in southwestern Florida. The course is challenging and the greens are fast. The people that work there are all super. We travel the extra distance to play this course!

The best course for wildlife

Course condition fair at best. Fairways not that good, rough is like a crab grass. Greens good. Pace of play was glacial, though if people were POLITE they would let a single through. Three hours 45 minutes for a single on a cart just too long.

Great track, well cared for and good people. The course will challenge you with every new turn and old growth treelined fairways. Very few houses on the course with a nice secluded feel. Lots of wild life and a racoon who may steal a bag of chips you bought from the turn grill while you putt on 10.

This golf course is really a 4 1/2 . The Greens are fast and true, look for subtle breaks . Fairways are very good, bunkers some of the best around . Had no trouble finding a level place to tee the ball . An interesting play, great layout, beautiful scenery and wildlife . The staff were terrific .

The staff in the Pro Shop and the starter were friendly. The course layout (other than #12) was good but the condition was disappointing. There is a lot of hazards that you cant see from the tee.

GREAT COURSE!! Rather than the typical straight and flat Florida course, Misty Creek is challenging but fair. By having mounds in the fairways and a number of doglegs, a first timer really has to rely on a GPS (on the cart) or a local to know where to shoot, That said, the fairways were ample and the greens were in great shape.There were very nice practice facilities, too. Beyond that, on many holes you couldnt see any houses and on the ones where you could see houses they were so far off the course that you never felt like you were golfing in someones backyard. I only hope that I can keep going back before the place goes private!

Excellent golf course in Sarasota Fl.Natural golf course in a natural setting.

Friendly pro shop staff. The course was in good condition and the greens were fast and tricky. Some of the holes were a bit narrow but there was good variety with water and quite a few dog legs. It would be easier to play on a second visit.Good value overall.Forgot to mention why only four stars. The GPS in the cart was terrible. It kept shutting down and needing rebooting. On number 15 it shut down and said we were on #1 when it restarted.

Course is in great condition and a lot of fun to play.

Course in good shape with fast true greens

18 Index player. I loved the course. I found the course very challenging with some tight fairways and water that was often in serious play. Course was re seeded recently and greens fast with some light sand. The layout is Florida natural and what you give up in nice private course tee boxes and greens you get back two times over in natural outdoor beauty. This course is the reason I love to be on a golf course. Friendly staff too. Thanks for a great day away from the NY cold.

A beautiful, fun, challenging course. Priced reasonably, has a driving range, chipping area, and a putting green. Nice pro shop. Holes are very interesting. Carts have range finders.

I loved this beautiful course, immersed in a semi-wild environment. We saw deer, gators, and a bobcat just loping gracefully across a fairway. A young buck walked up to a 5 foot fence through some trees, and just effortlessly leapt over. A very reasonable price for what really looks and feels like a high end private course. Grass range, excellent conditions throughout. Slick true greens. Good pace of play. Bunkers with good consistency throughout, with about an inch or so of sand over a firm surface, so you get a consistent club bounce in all. Course a little tight, but not punitive. The pro Bruce, Zach in the pro-shop, and Joe the starter are all very friendly, efficient and helpful. Joe put me with 3 wonderful guys from New Brunswick/Nova Scotia area who get temporary memberships through Feb/March, which are good deals Id say. If it matters, my handicap is 7.8, and my score range here was 78 through 82.

Food prices high for simple lunch.

Very nice golf course and very friendly and accommodating staff. We were a few minutes late for our t-time due to traffic and we had the last time before their member guest. The still got us off, playing the back nine first.

Played this tract two days in a row while in town from Denver. Great experience but should have a cart girl/woman on the course. Greens were in good shape and is definitely a position style course. Once you know where to hit it, very easy to attack.

Challenging...need yardage book to give perspective of various TROUBLE areas...

The fairways are rough the greens are good but they do not take care of the course it looks like that way.

Pro shop great people, had a sale going on. Course was in great shape, greens were punched 3 weeks ago, rolled true. All in all great time.

Interesting layout and fast greens. Have a phone app with the course layout on it fired up as some of the driving lines arent clear off the tee.

Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Course was in very good condition. Finished our round in four hours and would have been earlier, but caught another foursome. Rangers are needed for this purpose. We played early, 8am, and noticed the parking lot was full when we finished. Recommend early tee time to avoid 6 hour rounds. Scenery was outstanding. We saw deer, alligator, bald eagle and numerous other birds. Will play again.

An interesting layout however the fairways are covered with a very heavy grass that is some kind of weed. It is also used primarily in the rough and it literally stops your Club. I am a single digit handicap and would never recommend anybody play here until the fairways all redone with Fairway grass

Great greens and fairways. Holes are spread and not on top of each other. Nice areas where you traverse through woodsie sections in going between holes. Good amount of bunkers to yardage diversity to make course a nice challenge. Would definitely golf here again.

Challenging course with perhaps half the holes having homes in sight and half without, in a gated community. Have seen deer, raccoons and gators. Greens are typically fast, modest rough, and a fair number of bunkers. Nice driving range and large putting practice green with elevation changes.

Rocket fast greens...staff is exceptional.

Played in May. Not sure about the one review that stated they waited every hole because we just flew through the course. Very challenging but peaceful and quiet, just what I was looking for. We will be back, potentially even as members. Could not say enough good things about this course and experience.

Old Florida beautiful...challenging course.

This is one of the nicest golf courses in the Sarasota area except for one thing, its wet. This course drains poorly in the summer rains and is way overwatered in the winter season.We have played here several times in the past year and the approaches to nearly every green are so wet it feels like you are playing from standing water. I plugged my ball in the approach on 4 different holes. If you want good playing conditions play later in the day after the course has had time to dry out in the sun.

Great large trees . Wildlife in and around the course . Saw a group of 7 small deer along the 18th hole today. Lots of shady spots. Great scenic course.

An excellent layout in a wonderful location. Also very cost effective if one plays during the early afternoon. Many affordable FL golf courses are mediocre at best. If an individual wants to play FL golf during the winter prime times, it will be expensive and if one wants to play more affordable courses there, they will generally be super busy and marginal playing conditions. Misty Creek is an exception.

Found this little gem last year whilst on golf holiday with 3 friends. In the wilds with wonderful wild life. We had to move a small herd of deer off the tenth tee. Course in excellent condition and well be playing it again this year. Staff great and very obliging.

This course it a mature, natural, old school course, that from my memory was a private course at one time. I love this course, its challenging & just forgiving enough for most moderate to avid golfers to enjoy a great rnd of golf. For the price right now, Misty Creek has some great deals, if u look for them . Misty Creek is one of my top choices in the Sarasota/ Bradenton area. I am disgusted by Misty Creek putting a 4 high barbed wire fence between the course and Rothanbach Park. This fence will cause terrible injury to these sweet and defenseless creatures. Take it down immediately and put up a more humane solution if you really have to keep the deer out

AWESOME place for food and GOLF

Overpriced and waited every shot. To start the staff is very rude especially the ranger who fails miserably at his job. On a Thursday morning our round took 4.5 hours. Many reviews say the pace is fine but 4.5 hours for a midweek round is very slow in my opinion. The condition of the course was ok. Most of the $20 public courses in the area are just as maintained. For $60 I was expecting better than a municipal course. The nice thing about the course is that not every hole is lined with houses.Bottom line, I would not recommend playing here unless you get a great deal...20-25 dollars

Loved the course and everyone that worked there were so nice except for the ladies league playing behind us. We kept pace with the group in front but they complained to the ranger twice about us. Our group plays two or three days a week. We dont abuse the courses and we keep pace.The ranger was very sympathetic and said he had to come out because they called on us and they are MEMBERS. Apparently we needed to be put in our place. ( I looked to see if our cart had a NON-MEMBER sticker on the back)Now if the members dont want non-members playing there and feel they dont need the extra income in the off season then they should make it MEMBERS only totally. Rushing us and playing that MEMBERS CARD when we couldnt go any faster even if we wanted to does not make the round enjoyable and are you ready for this.... the group that was in front of us were members also....and nothing was said to them because of slow play. Theres one way to make it Members Only...drive away the locals with your Im A Member attitude that help support your club in the off season.
