Beautiful park, clean I mean no litter anywhere. the bathrooms were clean there was water on cement which is good so that everyone pays attention I impress with the bathrooms. there is a grass field on the other side there is a dog park, nice one very much kept up. I have already meet 3 dog owners and their pets. beautiful dogs all the area the teenage are playing hoops or just sitting listing music. then they have side for the small children all quite and having fun. last but important well lite all the poles had no burnt bulbs. that itself is a big plus.

I live 1/4 mile from this park. When in the park was being planned, I attended some of the community input meetings. Total cost, over 2 million dollars. Its been open for maybe 2 years now, and already its gone to sh*t. Overgrown and filled with weeds. (See photos. )Maybe they could have spent a little less and saved some money for maintenance?

On our way back to Oregon we heard about, and visited, the Andy Lopez Community Park. We saw the beautiful and heartfelt monument. Very impressive. The park was so well designed and inviting. My friend, who lives in Santa Rosa, did not know the story behind it and was really glad to get the history. Coincidentally, Andys little cousins were hanging around the memorial and engaged us. What a great and empowering message to the community.

There is no memorial with andys bday and rest date. Only a picture u r lead to assume its andy. No dedication nothing. No story as to why this park is named after andy. Its very very sad. I am so sorry sweet andy. RIP ANDY LOPEZ

You know those skateparks you see on youtube from New York? Theyre like a small dog run with ramps for skaters but theyre awesome . Its like a holy elbow of skateboarding fun. Flows beautifully into the trees and nature and it has a community farm, kid park and soccer field along with the skatepark.

Grew up in this area. This used to be an open field where people would throw trash and us kids would try and explore. Its wonderful that they built this beautiful park in memoriam for a wonderful human.
