Beautiful garden. Got an excellent tour from one of the employees. Interesting to note that they brought in plants that arent all super common to the area. It is made into a learning center along with being beautiful. They are also super energy efficient and careful about their water consumption and impact on the enviorment

I enjoy visiting the Santa Fe Botanical Garden from time-to-time. To be fair, the garden itself has never been the impetus for me to travel to Santa Fe, but it is right across the street from Museum Hill, so getting there takes minimal effort. The garden itself is lot large. It is, however, laid out well, and is very serene. Still, this place exudes the fact that its in its nascency; the garden has quite a way to go to become a proper destination in my book. Thankfully recent additions, including their Shakespeare in the Garden program, indicate the gardens desire to make more of a name for itself. The Santa Fe Botanical Garden is not the biggest garden around, but is worth visiting if you are in the area.

I dont know why people are giving 4 stars to this place....I LOVE IT. Its a beautiful garden. Its clean. They take good care of it. Yea, they dont allow you to bring lawn chairs but its understandable. Chances are the garden get ruined, i get it. Its $8 the fee which its not bad. A lot of parking space. Wear sport clothes & comfortable shoes if you want to explore the whole garden.

The gardens are well kept and show many plants of the area. I especially enjoyed the section devoted to plants used for food and fibre by the Native Peoples.

The Santa Fe Botanical Garden is a nice change from the art and museum scene if you are touring Santa Fe. They were featuring several bronze animal statues throughout the garden during my visit. There was a large variety of species on display, and the exhibit featuring all local, native species was a great showcase of southwest plantlife. The garden overall is pretty small and all outdoors with many things put of season in November.

The Garden is a new add-on to the city since it is only four years old as of writing this. It will clearly be expanded over time, and given the thought that went into it I know it will be wonderful. Short meandering paths provide beauty and education. Among the plants you will will find lizards, bees and a host of other tiny creatures. It is a wonderful place for a short visit. Be aware there is not much shade so you might bake in the summer months.

This was absolutely the coolest place! I was lucky enough to be in the area on their community day, so I got to visit for free. I liked the mixture of relaxing spots to chill, and parts that were (enjoyably) educational. If I’m ever in Santa Fe again, I would love to come back to visit!

Beautiful gardens that truly reflect the unique beauty of Santa Fe, NM. Highly recommend. They also offer free admission for EBT holders, its a great way to enjoy a beautiful cultural experience by yourself or with your family. My two year old loved it and they even had an area for children to play & explore.

This is a great botanical garden on Museum Hill in Santa Fe. They have very nice paths and good descriptions of the plants as well as how they would have been used by Native Americans. It can get hot, do I would recommend going early. There is also very nice sculpture scattered throughout. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to wash around and see the plants in various seasons. The kids love it, especially the sculpture garden. I do wish that on community says they would offer some additional educational or interactive/activity aspect with the various parts of the gardens, more than simply the signs posted to read.

We went to the Santa Fe botanical gardens back in May and it is fairly new and small but they have done a wonderful job with it! There was a lot to see but it had nice pathways so it didn’t feel overwhelming or that you were lost or missing out on anything and a lot of educational boards which were interesting to read. We have been to a lot of botanical gardens and we thought it was a nice small relaxing botanical gardens to go to particularly early in the morning when it was quiet!

We always love to include Botanical gardens whether home or abroad on our trips. We travelled to Santa Fe for the holdiays from San Diego. We were excited to know we could see the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens (GLOW) all lit up with holiday lights thro until the end of the year. NOT SO! When we arrived on December 26th approx 5.45pm all was closed up! NO NOTICE on the web sites NO NOTICE on the gates. A total BUST! Also the option on the site to pre-purchase entrance-we fortuantely were having connectivity problems so decided to just arrive & pay the extra. That was fortunate for us!

We went for the GLOW event tonight and we were underwhelmed. It would help to have lights around some trees, maybe wrap all of the tall sticks/poles with lights where you put the bonfire (would be pretty cool). Basically, more lights everywhere would help as it was sparse out there. Consider some synchronized Christmas lights to really nail it out of the park.

Small garden, not so many variety of plants, and for a $7 admission fee, it is not worth seeing. I visited the Santa Fe Botanical Garden at the Museum Hill as it was just right across the Museum of International Folk Art. The entrance to the garden was a little confusing. If you don’t walk and check a small trailer that was placed sideways relative to the parking lot, you won’t see the ticketing booth. After I paid the fee, I asked the staff at the Visitor’s Center how long would it take to see everything in the garden. I was told — only 10 minutes! I was surprised to realize that I just paid $7 for a 10-minute walk in the garden. If not for the statues along the short trail, I would have left sooner. The staff was right. I finished the trail in about 20 minutes (including the time spent taking these photos).I have been to a number of botanical gardens around the U.S., and the Santa Fe Botanical Garden offered too few things to impress visitors. So if you intend to just see the garden, don’t make the hassle. Instead, I suggest that you spend more time with the other beautiful museums at Museum Hill.It was no surprise that I was the only one at the garden. No one dared to visit the place on a Sunday afternoon. I saw some visitors who parked their cars, looked around, and then left without even bothering to go inside the Visitor’s Center.I love Santa Fe, but I will never go back to this garden.
