A lot of militaria...great museum for a small town - plus great concerts held there!
This is a great place to learn about the history of WW2. They have plenty of artifacts, old historic documents and a video to explain WW2.
Wonderful place to visit!
Even though the main museum was closed. I loved the WW I exhibit that was open.
Bataan history Death March documented.
Small but very well done. The display range from early Spanish through civil war including all military incursions to date.
Awesome gem of military history and what a collection for military arms! A must stop for any military buff or vet looking to see a part of our military history
The best place to get educated about New Mexicos military legacy.
Great place to learn the history of the soldiers
Never realized all the history that New Mexico has in ww2
We visited the museum on our way home from Palm Springs to Iowa. My fathers best friend in POW camp at Funatsu, Japan was a man from Deming, NM named Jesus (Jimmy) Gutierrez and one of the things on my bucket list was to honor Jimmy and the rest of the New Mexico National Guard members who fought and died or wound up in POW camps (there were a lot of them as several NMNG units were in the Philippines). The host at the museum was a super nice gentleman who treated us like royalty. A very nice small museum of which a good percentage was devoted to the Guardsmen who fought in the Philippine Islands and specifically on Bataan and Corregidor. My father was a soldier in Battery Chicago, 60th Coast Artillery (Anti-Aircraft) on Corregidor and was in Japanese prison camps at Cabanatuan, Bilibid, Palawan and Nagoya Camp No. 3 at Funatsu, Japan.
Very nice, with a lot of history
